Had a lovely 2 night stay here from 4th - 6th April 2025 with my hubby. It was absolutely perfect 👌 Tyrone & Neil are fantastic hosts & did everything they could to make our stay brilliant. We were met with a warm welcome on arrival. The cottage is gorgeous & felt just like home. It was comfortable & spotlessly clean throughout. Our room was very cute, lovely & so cosy. It had a large bathroom with a shower over the bath. (Room 1) Take some bubble bath with you😉 We had garden & sea views. The garden is also very gorgeous & well maintained. A nice touch was a welcome card in our room with our names on. There were also some little local chocolate bars, biscuits, tea, coffee, etc. Attention to detail was spot on. Oh ... & the bed was extremely comfy. Oh ... & the 3 course breakfast was scrummy & superb, good variety available too. So thank you, Tyrone & Neil, for making our stay so wonderful. You are ace. For us, it was the best B & B we've stayed in! Myrtle Cottage & Porlock Village are both well worth a visit. We'll be back. Room 1, please?😁

Neil and Tyrone were exceptional hosts, very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed talking with them and their knowledge of the area was helpful for our hike. The building itself was gorgeous. Breakfast was great and they catered for our vegetarianism and had all the plant-based alternatives, even the butter. There was homemade lemon drizzle cake, local chocolate and a nice selection of teas in the room. The bed was extremely comfy and the shower was lovely too, my partner appreciated the mini makeup wipe. Overall we had an excellent stay and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We only stayed one night!

A fabulous B&B - the best I've ever stayed in. Neil and Tyrone were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed - they'd really thought of everything (including cake on arrival, plus local chocolate and delicious biscuits). The whole breakfast was amazing but I especially loved the fruit salad and yoghurt. Parking was easy and they'd even cleaned my windscreen before I drove home. There are lots of lovely walks nearby and plenty of things to see and do. I shall definitely be returning!

Having to leave :)

The property is quaint and pretty in a great location. Tyrone and Neil are outstanding hosts. The breakfast was delicious with a range of different dishes. Our room was great with a wonderfully comfortable bed, complete with Egyptian cotton bedding. The shower was easy to use and there was plenty of hot water. So often the shower is poor but not here. Dog friendly doesn’t express how much care went into making sure our dog (Hattie) enjoyed the stay. Spotlessly clean and top quality throughout. Highly recommended. Thank you both.

Nothing.

A wonderful B&B with everyone made to feel very welcome by the patrons Neill and Tyrone. Our room was great, ceiling was a little low in places but you quickly learned to duck your head. The bed was extremely comfortable and I have never slept better. I had scrambled eggs and salmon for breakfast on both mornings, absolutely delicious and i should have asked Tyrone how he did his eggs. However might be a secret recipe. Do order the fruit as also lovely with many different types of fruit. If we are ever down down that way again we would look no further than Myrtle cottage... Many thanks lads :-)

My stay was so nice. I was hiking the coast path a little early in the year for camping, so i stopped here for the night. Could not have asked for a better BnB. The room was quiet, well decorated, had a lovely shower, and all the details made me feel so welcome. The hosts hospitality is second to none, super friendly and charming couple with lots of advice and knowledge of the area. The breakfast was great, too.

Dont think there was a vegetarian option on the breakfast but i could be mistaken.

It’s full of history - from the 400yr old door to the old beams. It’s such a pretty building in the centre with 3 quaint pubs a stones throw away. The breakfast was amazing - the best cooked breakfast i’ve had in a long time. The place is just fab! and the hosts were lovely, friendly and above and beyond- we felt like invited guests rather than strangers! Oh and importantly the bed was very comfy - just what i needed after walking the swcoast path.

Nothing. loved our stay here!

So much thought and effort has gone in to keep the property in great shape and ensure a comfortable stay. We were in a fairly small but quiet room at the back - as expected for a property of this age - mind your heads! The little extras could be seen all over the place, from snacks in the room, to bathroom toiletries, and even to a surprise windscreen clean prior to departure! Breakfast was top notch, with locally sourced high quality ingredients. Tyrone & Neil were just the best hosts - thanks!

It would quickly become boring to list all the different ways this place was perfect. Well laid out. Super clean and tidy. Quiet. Tea/coffee facilities. The shower was great (excellent pressure). Tyrone clearly cares - so much attention to detail! Breakfast of champions! It really was an excellent breakfast - fruit, yogurt, full english, croissant etc. We absolutely adored it and wished we had booked to stay longer.

This charming property was beautifully presented with exceptional attention to detail. Very helpful and welcoming hosts. Neil and Tyrone have put so much thought, love and care into this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. The food was delicious. Plenty of choice. Very very comfortable rooms. So clean everywhere. I cannot recommend this place enough. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you guys for your hospitality. We really felt spoilt
