My stay at The Great House was perfect. The house is a lovely listed property with easy parking. The innkeepers are present and make everyone feel comfortable and are at the ready to meet requests and provide suggestions. The Luttrell suite is blissfully dark at night and quiet with a very comfy four poster bed. Wi-fi was sufficient to stream lots of Glastonbury during my stay. Very dog friendly in a quiet neighbourhood. Bath and shower room was spotless clean with super hot water and great water pressure. Breakfast was made to order with the some of the best sausage I've ever had. Coffee served in French press.

There was nothing I did not like. There wasn't anything I would change. Be aware that you're staying in a listed property, so don't expect modern. Expect a period specific renovation and I enjoyed it immensely.

Bruce and Sheila were the best. I got lost the night we were scheduled to check in. I called them a number of times and they finally came to where I was and had me follow them back tho the house. Most gracious and helpful, going way beyond what others would do! Great host! Definitely high recommendations for them!

Bruce and Sheila were extremely welcoming and attentive, the bar and lounge were really interesting and comfortable, food great, and room very clean and perfect for families. Loved the low plastic policy as well.

This is a very special and unusual property. Everything has been renovated leaving the patina of the years and it is amazing to hear all about the work and the discoveries made in the property. The decoration is stunning, food is locally sourced or homemade and the ethics of the B and B are sustainability.

Lovely hosts, incredible accommodation, amazing breakfast in a good location for exploring Exmoor. Sheila & Bruce are very knowledgeable on the area and we followed their advice and got to see the very best of Exmoor and the coastline. It's a beautiful historic house, so don't expect everything to be perfect for such an old building. But wins every time on unique, boutique and best décor. The owners did everything they could to make us feel at home. My husband is coeliac and they catered for him so well, which was very much appreciated. The room was big and very nicely decorated. We will certainly be back.

The owners of this beautiful listed Georgian house have taken great care in restoring it and still managed to introduce modern comforts along the way. You really feel as though they enjoy hosting their guests , and they are very good at it too ! The bedroom was faultless and the modern shower fantastic! The whole house was spotlessly clean . Beautiful fresh flowers welcome you in the spacious hall. Sheila's breakfasts were all freshly prepared from local produce ,where possible , beautifully cooked and generous. Even Bruce's waitering skills were coming on ! I challenge anyone not to enjoy a stay at the Great House ; our visit lived up to its name !

A lovely B&B, and a very warm welcome from Bruce and Sheila. Dinner was delicious, and the B&B is really well located to explore the local area. Our daughter loved the family room (and the bacon)!

We loved this property, it feels like you are stepping back in time. We can wait to go back again and spend more time in this piece of history.

Beautiful old property in a little village. Room was excellent and food first class. Bruce and Sheila ( and Fred of course) went out of their way to make sure we were happy after the failure of our original holiday. Property well placed for Exmoor and beach trips. We hope Bruce and Sheila continue to do well. I am sure they will get many repeat bookings.

Bath towels took a long time to dry, perhaps a turn in the tumble dryer would have helped.
