We stayed at the Cuillin for one night while on a tour. It was a splurge for us as we usually don't spend too much on accommodations, and it was definitely worth the splurge! Our room was wonderful and we had a great view of the harbor. The front yard was very relaxing, offering chairs and picnic tables to sip wine at to watch dusk turn into night and dawn turn into day. The staff members were all very friendly and attentive. We had a really great dinner and breakfast at the View, and the hotel gave us the perfect table at the front so we could enjoy the view while eating. I recommend staying here for anyone travelling to Portree for a night looking for an elevated hotel experience.

Quiet, comfortable and calm atmosphere. very relaxing. Staff were very attentive, accommodating and polite. the food was the best we have ever tasted and we could not fault this at all. service was top class in the restaurant. view was beautiful. room service was spot on and very quickly delivered.

I am very particular about cleanliness and the only faults I found were that the room furniture was very dusty on arrival on the Friday. 😞 it was polished on the Sunday but I expect the room to be immaculate on arrival especially since it is a 4* premium deluxe room. I always give the taps a wipe underneath before I brush my teeth and ours were unfortunately quite mucky. apart from that it was a wonderful spacious room. the shower room was very spacious too.

Everything!!!!! We were very fortunate to be given an upgrade to arguably the best room in the entire hotel. The views each day were amazing. There was a fresh fruit basket on the table when we arrived and tea and coffee facilities in the room. The bed was luxurious with plenty of pillows. The bathroom had a huge shower in addition to a large bath and plenty of soft towels which were replaced each day in addition to quality toiletries. The bathroom also had a night light which was fantastic if you needed to use he bathroom during the night. Downstairs a wood fire burned in the large lounge area all day and the ambiance it provided when returning from sightseeing on a winters afternoon was magic. Add to this a reasonably priced bar area where you could purchase a cocktail or coffee to enjoy by the fire whilst overlooking the bay and a first rate restaurant where an extensive array of breakfast items were available and nothing was too much trouble even if you wanted to mix and match various items from different breakfast items and I just can’t rate this hotel highly enough. Every single staff member of this hotel made us feel special and did their job with excellence. We also ate dinner several nights in the restaurant and the food was fabulous. We will return here on our next visit to the UK this was the absolute highlight of 3 months of travelling.

Not a single thing!!!!!!

This hotel is amazing! We were given an upgrade as we are on our honeymoon. Our room was fabulous - quite large with a huge, comfortable bed and also two armchairs. We had a lovely view over the bay. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is far enough out of Portree to be quiet but close enough to walk into town for a meal. The front lawn has fabulous views and is peaceful, with beautiful bird song. We ate in the hotel one night - the food was delicious, the cocktails were great, and the service was excellent. There is a nice lounge with games for guests to use.

Leaving!

unbelievable! seriously top category hotel with a ridiculous price! breakfast was outstanding, a big selection of a la carte and continental, service warm and welcoming, the hotel itself what to say? wowwww, position is great, the view breathtaking. Our room was huge and we are still speechless for the bathroom dimension. one of the best bathtub and shower size ever! bed very comfy too. decaf coffee served in camera as well (was an extra for me as I don’t drink caffeine and I always have to ask for it) please give yourself a favour and don’t miss this incredible experience at a very cheap price

if I have to find something, I asked for the hair dryer which it wasn’t in my room at the time I finished my shower, no one picked up the phone so I left a voice message but no one called back. had to ring them again 15 minutes later however the most gentle and lovely member of the staff rushed to get me the hairdryer in no more than 2 minutes, has been lovely

The hotel is wonderful, room with super comfortable bed, hot shower and good water jet. The view of the city is beautiful. The person who greeted us at check-in was very kind. wonderful breakfast.

We had a very unpleasant experience at the hotel's restaurant during dinner. As it is a Michelin-starred restaurant, we were expecting better service. The waitress asked us to remove the cutlery from the table to give it to her, and she was annoyed because we were getting the wrong ones, but we didn't know which one to get; after all, that wasn't our role. When serving the dishes and dessert, she practically threw the dishes on the table very rudely. When I mentioned my gluten allergy, she was very rude in explaining how I should order. Anyway, in other simpler restaurants on the island, we had infinitely better service, with politeness and respect.

Loved our stay here. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a lovely, friendly staff member by the name of Faye who talked us through everything and personally showed us to our room. The room was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed - not to forget the stellar views of the Loch. TV was huge, bathroom was stocked with The White Company goodies, bed was so big and comfy. The restaurant was also lovely, we had a great dinner and breakfast exceeded expectations (get the waffles!). Great value for money - will definitely be back. Perfect haven to relax in while exploring all Skye has to offer.

nothing, perfect.

We stayed at the Cuillin hills hotel for 2 nights and we absolutely loved it there! The staff are really polite and friendly, the hotel was beautiful. We went during the Christmas season and I have to say that all the Christmas decorations were beautiful and really made our stay feel wonderful! We love the sea view from the breakfast room! The breakfast was really good. The room was really nice and we even got the chance to sit by our window drinking tea and watching the sea at evening! I loved it and will certainly come back!

Location was beautiful, the room was amazing-large,spotless,the decor was of a really high standard, bed was huge and so comfortable. Dining area had a spectacular view. Food was lovely. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I loved it there.

Didn't really have a view from our room, but I don't think they had sea views when I booked. That would have been the icing on the cake.

The view could never be bettered as amazing view of the harbour in Portree and all the mountains etc. proximity to Portree excellent if you don’t have a vehicle. Little beach at the bottom of a lane. Food top notch. Service beyond great. Check in very professional and friendly. We have been to this hotel numerous times over the past 24 years. Wonderful. Lots to do on Skye. Book ahead as very busy.
