Staff: All were excellent. Front desk were lovely, and went out of their way to assist us in every way; they even contacted your sister hotel's restaurant (Dulce & Broke) to complain about poor treatment we had at the hands of one of its staff. We did not eat at Marmalade restaurant as it was closed, but did have several drinks at the bar on both nights. Bar staff were terrific!

As wonderful as our stay was, prices were high. Also, the gardens around the rear of the new wing need tending.Lots of weeds, grass that needs cutting, and empty flower boxes. One expects more of a hotel that is this. "nice" and charges this much.

Very clean, great location only a few mins walk to everything in Portree town centre, staff very friendly & helpful. Overall a very nice, warm & welcoming stay!

We booked extremely last minute and were desperate so I accept that the price may have been higher than usual and it was WAY more than we would usually pay, but for the price point I was expecting it to have at least a mini bar fridge with some snacks. Whilst it’s a very nice hotel, the room itself was not any nicer, bigger, or better equipped than hotel rooms a third of the price. It seems you pay a substantial premium for the location only - not necessarily a bad thing but definitely something to be aware of!

Comfortable room. Quaint cottage style building. Decor excellent 👌. Breakfast awesome both continental and Scottish breakfast. Most delicate croissants and scrambled eggs. Lamb sausages excellent. Shower excellent and amenities soap, shower gel, shampoo etc were out of this world from Scottish Highland soap company.

Service could have been better at breakfast. Seemed understaffed or staff ended up talking to some customers unendingly. Ordered coffee and orange juice , came at the end of the meal, that too the orange juice for one person.

Modern luxury in a convenient location on the edge of Portree, 5 minute walk to the town centre shops, pubs, restaurants and sights. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our bedroom was on the top floor the old house, with great views of the port and the mountains. The room was modern, comfortable, practical with large bed, table and chairs, sitting chair, nice touches like pod coffee machine, snacks, nice toiletries, hairdryer. Great breakfast menu, worth booking the breakfast included rate. Restaurant serves steak in the evening, worth booking for one night. Hotel has free parking. Helpful advice with maps, taxi booking, restaurant booking. Laundry service available via a local 3rd party. Thoroughly recommend

Not all rooms have bath, so specify whether you want bath or shower when you book. Full length mirror in the bedroom for hair drying would be helpful.

Marie at the reception was very helpful for thru our stay for 3 nights, very kind and generous, she had made our stay, very delightful , and she knows a lot of good place for coffee and cakes 😉thank you so much, also we have stayed 2 nights with different room types, them both were very comfortable with beautiful view , peaceful perfect for reading your book in the morning while you enjoy your coffee before going out for sightseeing Also everyone at the hotel are very lovely as well, thank you for looked after us very well

Restaurant closed a bit too early but understandable

Excellent breakfast, great shower, comfy bed, dark room with good lights. Good coffee machine in the room, very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Easy walk just down the road into the centre of Portree

The small glass shelves on the bed-sides can come loose when picking things off them - this happened twice and they fell to the ground. A small bowl at breakfast to out the yoghurt and fruit into would be good, and a larger place for the croissant.

We booked last minute to stay here for a few days on our honeymoon and we were blown away at how friendly and kind the staff was. They went above and beyond to make us feel special and even brought us some champagne to celebrate our wedding. The hotel itself was beautiful and decorated so well. The bar and restaurant were spectacular and we decided to eat there for two dinner as we liked it so much. 10/10 we would love to come here and stay again. Such a lovely time!

Nothing- it was perfect.

Great breakfast! Receptionist was adorable. Beautiful room with a nice view on the garden. Bathroom was outstanding! (You don’t often see comments on bathrooms but here is a good one!) We had dinner at the inn right down the road, live music every Tuesday and Thursday!

Three wait staff for breakfast, one of them was somehow not the nicest person. Sorry if we had to ask you for something, thought it was your job… Good hotel but no charm! Where are the nice humans? A pity they’re so discrete…

The staff at this hotel are lovely and very helpful. This hotel has no lift but the staff are more than willing to help you with your luggage. We had two lovely nights in this hotel and one dinner at their Chargrill restaurant, which is a must if you like a good piece of meat and delicious sides. The room was spacious and the bed/pillows comfy. The hotel if very quiet and is a 5 minute walk to the centre of town.

We had an issue with the safe in the room which didn't get resolved by the time we left. There isn't anywhere you can have a drink on a Sunday evening within the hotel as restaurant and bar are closed. Like any hotel we stayed in in Scotland, don't expect value for money. The hotels are on the expensive side for what they offer and I was made aware of this beforehand so my expectations were in line.
