Breakfast and dinner was good and in a lovely setting.

Upon arrival, no one offered to assist with our bags. The weather was poor at this point and some help would have been appreciated including help to our rooms. At dinner, it was obvious that the very young staff had no direction from a supervisor. Our waitress was very nice but inexperienced. The lack of managerial availability meant staff were constantly running to ask questions. The cost of staying at this hotel should indicate that more tenured staff are available.

The staff were exceptional. Service AAA. The breakfast selection and quality was very good

As a Canadian travelling in UK the room rate was quite high, especially after conversion.

Beautiful setting, remote and peaceful yet central to all the Isle has to offer. Room was spacious and check in quite easy.

After staying in similarly rated properties in other Scotland towns, it was disappointing that there was no extra special services offered, a personal letter, biscuits with the in room coffee etc. Service was a bit slow at dinner and breakfast, did not appear to be enough staff. This was one of the most expensive hotels of my 9 day stay so it was disappointing.

Skeabost House is a historic hotel, but there was nothing faded or musty about it. The staff was friendly and very helpful as well as accommodating. Our rooms on the top floor were very comfortable, clean and modern. The meals were top notch and the service exceptional.

An elevator! With the help of a bellman we had to carry our bags to the top floor, but as we were told that there is only one elevator on the entire Isle of Skye we let it slide.

Hotel is a very nice place to relax, great staff, super clean, wonderful and charming. Breakfast was absolutely perfect. Service in the restaurant was brilliant, the staff need recognising, including the lad serving breakfast.

Whilst dinner was okay, I was expecting more to be honest. Ribeye steak not seasoned or cooked as well as I would have expected for the price. Dessert was cheesecake and this was a soggy let down. The next table’s Fish & Chips and their desserts looked brilliant however!

We liked everything. It is absolutely a wonderful place to stay. The physical building is gorgeous. The views out of all the windows at the Loch are stunning. The multiple walks you can take from the Hotel are interesting and beautiful. We never ran into anyone on our walks. The food in the solarium was the best food I ate in Scotland. The wait staff in the bar and restaurant were personable, knowledgable and added to the experience. There aren't a ton of rooms you can find places to sit during the day and read away from others. I hated to leave! All of the staff are great. The breakfast is superb. Whiskey on porridge with cream is delightful. Our room was great, the bed was wonderful.

Absolutely nothing.

Loved this hotel on Skye! Quirky, old fashioned, giant rooms and even more giant bathrooms--we loved it! Super clean. The staff was clearly a bit short on numbers, but super enthusiastic and helpful at every turn. Dinner in the restaurant was delish, and the scrambled eggs at breakfast might just be the very best on the planet. If you are looking for a nice place with character, this is it! Note that there are no lifts, and some of the hallways have tricky random steps, so be careful.

The grounds need a bit of tidying up. It all feels a bit overgrown, perhaps due to being closed so long for the pandemic. Also, the entrance driveway looks like you are accessing someone's backyard--it's a bit odd, but it does work. Perhaps a bit more signage would be helpful.

Best staff we have ever encountered. All were very pleasant and helpful, especially those who managed the front desk. Food was excellent and well presented at both breakfast and dinner.. Room was very comfortable. Would definitely return, but would want a different room.

Only gripe was that building work was being undertaken - scaffolding adorned part of the building and marred the view from the bedroom window and balcony. Also badly stained ceiling caused through external water leaks.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Wonderful staff. Food was great, restaurant lovely. Wonderful to relax in the drawing room after dinner. Reasonably easy reach of Portree and its restaurants and cafes.

Nothing but note that demand is high which means prices can be too. I'm not complaining, I understand why this has to be. I'm just saying that if you stay here - and you should - you need to be prepared to pay for it.
