Fantastic stay! Staff were incredibly lovely and polite. The room was very clean and spacious, a fridge in the room was a nice surprise! The bed was comfortable - yes the room was warm but the fan / window being open was enough. Most places are warm inside when the sun is beaming outside and this is a lot to do with personal preference. Shower was hot. The leisure facilities were great - heated pool, sauna, steam room, rain shower, large hot tub. There was a gym we didn’t use but it looked very big, the leisure facilities were really clean and we had a great time. It was nice being given the option to use the facilities both days (stayed 1 night). Breakfast was incredible and I can see why it’s award winning - very hot, really tasty, huge choices selections (usual breakfast, continental breakfast including smoked salmon etc, porridge, made to order kippers etc, fresh coffee and juices, bagels etc etc. Large car park. Typically quiet at weekends and busier mid-week. Overall, a truly wonderful stay and we already know we will be staying here again when visiting family. Thanks very much! Highly recommended!

The spa facilities were really nice and I enjoyed the sauna, steam room, rain shower and gym. It was small and compact but not too busy. The staff at the hotel were all really nice and approachable as well. The breakfast was delicious with good selection of hot food and cereals/cold cuts. Their smoothie was 10/10! I looked forward to that every morning. There were plenty of outlets for working and charging equipment. The shower water pressure was strong and hot! I thoroughly enjoyed my steaming hot shower, sadly no bath in my room.

I ended up having a room near the stairwell and the walls were a bit thin. I was woken up by a group of guests returning at 1am who were ?drunk/tipsy/very loud. Otherwise the room was quiet and comfortable.

Excellent location for a Uni based event. Good, clean, comfy rooms with all the facilities you would expect, including sockets and USB sockets by BOTH sides of the bed! This is surprisingly rare to find. Staff were very friendly. There was also a gym and swimming pool on site.

The dinner service was exceptionally slow. We waited an hour between starter (which only 2 of our 4 party had) and the mains. The starters were slow out but not as bad, maybe half an hour. We were served drinks straight away. When we highlighted the delay we were offered extra drinks free.

Great location for the university with car park. Lovely warm pool and spa facilities great. The lady working there was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent too - super choice.

Limited evening menu in restaurant - there was an issue and we were not able to have what we had wanted due to the limited choice - we have particular dietary requirements, so had planned in advance and were disappointed with the change when we got there. The room felt really cold. I tried to turn the heating on for a short time, but it didn't seem to work and for the time we were there, I didn't bother saying anything. Whilst we did sleep well, the beds were the hardest we have come across and this may not suit everyone.

It was our first time at this hotel and we were surprised at how big it was - an amazing number of rooms. Really loved the layout and the various areas where guests could just chill out. The staff were fantastic too, from the reception desk to the bar/restaurant - even sorting me out with a sandwich in the middle of the night when I was really hungry. That was going over and beyond. There was a wide range of choices at breakfast too.

The room was hot when we got there. And as we were on the first floor, I did not want to leave our window open overnight and there was no air-conditioning in the room. There was a table fan but I would have preferred air-conditioning. There was a telephone in the room but it had no dialing tone so I could not call reception from the room. Using my mobile, I called the front desk number that was on our booking but no one answered, even after several calls. I settled for using the table fan.

The location was good for where we were going, Donington Park race circuit. The hotel was generally good for catering for my partner's needs as a wheelchair user, particularly the room door, which was powered. The area is very secure on the Loughborough University grounds and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our room was on the first floor and although the lift and hotel room door were easy to navigate the fire doors between the lift and room door were not, whilst trying to manoeuvre the wheelchair. Cleanliness of some fixtures and fittings in the shower room could be better but not of any big concern.

The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, professional, friendly, they always greeted us with a smile when we walked through reception. We arrived well before check in time, but had to go to an event straight away so, they took our bags, checked us in, gave us our room key and said our room would be ready for us later on. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. There was also a chilled water dispenser just down the hall that we could refill our water bottles with.

the bathroom was a bit old fashioned compared to the lovely bedroom, it could do with being modernised, that being said the water pressure was great in the shower.

It’s a great place to stay when visiting Loughborough Uni - it’s on campus! On arrival the staff were very welcoming. The Spa is a great addition - went for a couple of quick swims which was great after a day in the car and before returning home. Definitely returning.

Limited evening menu - we ordered steaks - one rare and one medium - they both arrived cooked through - young staff serving so as the food was nice enough didn’t bother mentioning it. Pillows were quite hard but I’m sure we could have addressed this if we’d found out prior to actually going to bed because all the staff were very helpful.

Perfectly situated on Loughborough University campus for visiting students, rooms very well appointed and comfortable, staff, always friendly, and very pleasant. Excellent breakfast and nice pool facilities

I know there are water dispensers in the corridor, but really a four star hotel should provide at least one bottle of still water in the room. Found it slightly odd to go upstairs to where our rooms were located on foot with no option of a lift, especially when travelling with a mixed age group. Somebody needs to learn how to use the coffee machine at the bar!

The rooms would benefit greatly from air conditioning They were stuffy and very hot despite open window and use of portable fan The bed was a little too firm for all of us and the bed linen although of obvious good quality was hot and heavy, a lower tog lightweight duvet would have been more comfortable. Although the self closing doors slam when released this wasn’t a problem during the night, but the groups of noisy guests gathered in the dark in the courtyards late into the night were disturbing.
