Room was really clean, very well presented, staff very helpful and friendly....I came with my son as we visited the Uni for open day and it was a long journey.....he used the gym, the pool , sauna and steam room. I used the pool, personally for me I would have liked it a bit warmer (but I have medical conditions so warmer better for me) but it was warm enough that I could stay in for a while, the steam room was great, changing rooms clean, towels supplied, showers nice and good stream of water.....had a meal and was really tasty, again staff amazing, no room for dessert....great sleep, reception ordered a cab for me, breakfast was good and set us up for the long 6.5 hour journey home...thank you, if my son does go to Uni then will be back.

Pool could have been warmer but that is my personal choice, it is most likely perfect heat for others,

Walking in the door I was greated by lovely staff. The walked me through the self check-in and explained where my room was after walking me to the hall doorway. They were patient with me on the self service check-in as I was new to it but it didn't phase them. The room was lovely, just what was needed. The bed was PERFECT! Big, comfy and so warm with proper pillows. In the room was extra appliances like ironing board, hairdryer... The room was clean, warm and room door is kitted with a double lock.

Breakfast is rather expensive if you only want cereal and a coffee. You pay for a full Irish (£16) even if it's only coffee you want.

Staff were friendly and accommodating Breakfast was excellent, more than enough choice We were there for a graduation and the evening menu was more limited because of this, but it was more than adequate and the food was lovely.

The fact that I had emailed and spoken to the hotel for an extra bed to be put in one of the rooms and was told this would be done and they would put us in one of the larger rooms. I actually rang on the day we were due to confirm this again, but it did not happen. However, staff at the front desk were very accommodating and sorted the issue within minutes.

Fantastic stay! Staff were incredibly lovely and polite. The room was very clean and spacious, a fridge in the room was a nice surprise! The bed was comfortable - yes the room was warm but the fan / window being open was enough. Most places are warm inside when the sun is beaming outside and this is a lot to do with personal preference. Shower was hot. The leisure facilities were great - heated pool, sauna, steam room, rain shower, large hot tub. There was a gym we didn’t use but it looked very big, the leisure facilities were really clean and we had a great time. It was nice being given the option to use the facilities both days (stayed 1 night). Breakfast was incredible and I can see why it’s award winning - very hot, really tasty, huge choices selections (usual breakfast, continental breakfast including smoked salmon etc, porridge, made to order kippers etc, fresh coffee and juices, bagels etc etc. Large car park. Typically quiet at weekends and busier mid-week. Overall, a truly wonderful stay and we already know we will be staying here again when visiting family. Thanks very much! Highly recommended!

Excellent location for a Uni based event. Good, clean, comfy rooms with all the facilities you would expect, including sockets and USB sockets by BOTH sides of the bed! This is surprisingly rare to find. Staff were very friendly. There was also a gym and swimming pool on site.

The dinner service was exceptionally slow. We waited an hour between starter (which only 2 of our 4 party had) and the mains. The starters were slow out but not as bad, maybe half an hour. We were served drinks straight away. When we highlighted the delay we were offered extra drinks free.

Stunning refurbishment completed in August 24. Super comfy beds and equipped bedrooms and bathroom. Wonderful spa/pool/gym. Easy free parking, complimentary drinks and nibbles in conference area. Fantastic bar and restaurant. Staff very well and helpful. Modern Scandi feel and lovely aroma.

Bathroom doorframe/wall area could do with an extra clean. Windows in bedroom would benefit from an upgrade. Better signage for bedroom numbers from all corridor directions and restaurant and bar vs name of the restaurant and bar.

The spa facilities were really nice and I enjoyed the sauna, steam room, rain shower and gym. It was small and compact but not too busy. The staff at the hotel were all really nice and approachable as well. The breakfast was delicious with good selection of hot food and cereals/cold cuts. Their smoothie was 10/10! I looked forward to that every morning. There were plenty of outlets for working and charging equipment. The shower water pressure was strong and hot! I thoroughly enjoyed my steaming hot shower, sadly no bath in my room.

I ended up having a room near the stairwell and the walls were a bit thin. I was woken up by a group of guests returning at 1am who were ?drunk/tipsy/very loud. Otherwise the room was quiet and comfortable.

The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly. Food nice in the bar area. Leisure facilities were good.

Extremely expensive, £240 per room for one night for us which didn't include breakfast! However we were in Loughborough for our son's graduation and had left it a little late to book somewhere so that's probably why the price was so high. Due to building work there was a long way to walk to our rooms and it was Noisy in the bar area. Breakfast we thought was OK at best.

Great location for the university with car park. Lovely warm pool and spa facilities great. The lady working there was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent too - super choice.

Limited evening menu in restaurant - there was an issue and we were not able to have what we had wanted due to the limited choice - we have particular dietary requirements, so had planned in advance and were disappointed with the change when we got there. The room felt really cold. I tried to turn the heating on for a short time, but it didn't seem to work and for the time we were there, I didn't bother saying anything. Whilst we did sleep well, the beds were the hardest we have come across and this may not suit everyone.

It was our first time at this hotel and we were surprised at how big it was - an amazing number of rooms. Really loved the layout and the various areas where guests could just chill out. The staff were fantastic too, from the reception desk to the bar/restaurant - even sorting me out with a sandwich in the middle of the night when I was really hungry. That was going over and beyond. There was a wide range of choices at breakfast too.

The room was hot when we got there. And as we were on the first floor, I did not want to leave our window open overnight and there was no air-conditioning in the room. There was a table fan but I would have preferred air-conditioning. There was a telephone in the room but it had no dialing tone so I could not call reception from the room. Using my mobile, I called the front desk number that was on our booking but no one answered, even after several calls. I settled for using the table fan.
