The Queens Head is situated in Belton, 5 miles from East Midlands Airport. It is a fantastic place to stay before a flight or just an overnight getaway for a break. This little known gem has a lovely welcoming atmosphere, with amazing staff where nothing is too much trouble. Great food and drinks selection, all meals are all prepared fresh from the kitchen. Belton has a local church that chimes on the hour and can be heard throughout this picturesque village. A special thank you to Sam and dawn for making our stay extra special and looking after us. 😊 Big thank you to Nick (the owner) who has big ideas on making the Queens Head even better!! I hope you will enjoy the video coming soon! Thank you again! (YouTube) Cannock Chase Explorers

The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean, spacious, and the furnishings in the bedrooms and restaurant/bar areas were smart and stylish. It was very quiet at night, and we got a great night’s sleep. The food was exceptional, and very good value for money. I think I had a whole packet of smoked salmon with my scrambled egg at breakfast 🤣 We had moved from another hotel as it was disgustingly dirty, and did not have a lot of time to look for another accommodation. However, The Queens Head did not disappoint. It was a great find, and we will definitely be going back when we are in that area again. I would highly recommend this place for food and accommodation.

Nothing.

We were racing at Donington. A quick 10 mins away. Country pub with rooms. I had miscalculated day so infact I didn’t get the expected room but they did manage to squeeze us in, literally to an attic, with a 4’6” rather than large bed. Good food. Though missed breakfast. It doesn’t start til 8.30 on a Sunday.

Our own fault but a 4’6” bed is awkward, plenty of room in the room for twin or King size. Shower room grout could do with attention, but we were last minute booking ins. No staff on site at night so entry and exit by fire escape route.

Beautiful rooms, we reserved a twin and a double. Both were lovely. Well equipped, well maintained and comfortable. Warm, friendly welcome on arrival, gorgeous breakfast with a massive selection. Restaurant downstairs served amazing food and staff were lovely and friendly.

Because the building is so old, unfortunately the sound proofing isn't very good in the purple room. It sounded like we were directly above the bar area and it was very loud until 11:30pm, However, being on the main road, there wasn't any noise from outside other than the church bells every hour on the hour! Only heard them a few times though throughout the night.

I stayed two nights on Mar 24 - 26. Hotel was recently refurbished to a very high standard. The staff all were attentive, friendly and open. My room, The Purple Room, was brilliant, overlooking the majestic church with a spire. We ate there on the 24th and it was delicious. All were freshly prepared for guests, the restaurant was busy, the service brilliant, we could have stayed as long as we wanted, and the table was ours. I started with the pork belly, then faggots and finished with sticky toffee pudding, wow! I came for a friend's reunion, one of us lives in Shepshed, and we plan on meeting up at least twice a year, and each time I will stay at The Queens Head in Belton. Did I mention the pub with ultra-friendly locals? Thank you for a memorable stay

I wish I stayed longer

Room was a wow factor. We liked the attention to detail. Coffee machine was a nice bonus also sky. Bathroom had bath and shower and ear plugs!!!! Breakfast was very good, not much choice for cereal but the cooked breakfast made up for it. Breaded black pudding was a nice change. Scrambled egg and smoked salmon was good. Samantha our breakfast server was lovely, nothing too much trouble.

We didn't realise there was entertainment (Saturday night) BUT it was not as bad as we thought it was going to be, finished 11pm so not too bad.

Food was excellent, had dinner and breakfast, both were absolutely lovely. Good portions and quality ingredients. And at a fair price. Only had mains, too full for anything else. Top nosh...

Shower needs replacing with better, more powerful one, could not get any pressure. Room was cold most of the night, windows are not double glazed which is one reason. Beds comfortable, clean just need to sort shower and heating.

The service at the Queens Head was exceptional, all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was first class, all food cooked perfectly and the fresh warm pastries were delightful. The location is very convenient if you need to be at Donington Park or East Midlands airport.

The proximity to the road meant that the room could be quite noisy if you have the windows open however they do provide you with complimentary earplugs which help to negate this.

Breakfast was excellent, tasty and beautifully cooked. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Facilities were very good, comfy bed and reasonable shower. We were able to have an evening meal in the pub despite not booking in advance. Food was excellent. Pub is situated in a lovely quiet village slightly off the beaten track so very little traffic noise. Even the locals were friendly.

Shower needed some adjustment to get a constant temperature but was fine once sorted.

The room was spotlessly clean and well presented. The bed was very comfortable and all the facilities were very clean and in good working order. Staff were very welcoming on all interactions from welcome, bar & restaurant to breakfast and checkout. Food was high quality, with good presentation and portion sizes. Evening meal was very good value for money. Bar offered a great selection of drinks, which were competitively priced and consumed in a very welcoming environment.
