I had a room at the end of a corridor at the back and as the hotel was not particularly busy there were not lots of people making noise in the corridors which I guess might happen at busier times. Consequently I had a good night sleep. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Tea and coffee available and was replenished when the room was cleaned whilst I was out for the day. The hotel is a bit out on a limb but was ideal for me as it was close to the M1 (Jct 23) which for me was actually very convenient but it would be difficult to get to by public transport. Convenient for anyone visiting the University which is a couple of hundred metres further along the road on the opposite side. I didn't take breakfast so cannot comment on that.

Rooms quite large, well decorated. Lovely large, well lit mirror in bedroom. TV was a decent size. Beds really comfortable, good linen. Tea and coffee in room. Small tables to sit at as well as a large surface under the TV. A great solid area next to surface to put your case. Shower was nice even though it was over the bath which gave you the option of a long soak or a quick shower.

No lifts! Carpets on corridors looking rough where bleach has been spilled in several large places. Some cracked tiles in bathroom , bath could do with sprucing up. It was very quiet! No atmosphere. Obviously just a quiet time. Could do with sockets next to beds for charging mobile phones etc.

Staff members Denise, Channel, Harry, Andy, all made my stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible I have a physical disability, they changed my room to a ground floor on arrival, extra pillows, waiter served caraf of ice water served to my table as I sat working Always smiling Denise, Chantell and Louise, Harry front of house manager, always keen to go the extra mile I am a regular at the hotel. Thank you for these long serving members of staff who treat me so exceptionally well. Food, cleanliness, polite, friendly staff, happy to accommodate at any point, not like a lot of hotel staff, not even a smile. Covid left a lasting dent in the motivation and standard of hotels in this country. NOT though, at The Link hotel in Loughborough Superb every time I stay

The hotel is located just of the M1 and almost next to the University. The town centre is just a short drive away. The room was spacious and had good facilities. We requested an iron from the reception, and it was delivered to the room promptly. The hotel lounge proved to be quite spacious and comfortable, and it was great as I could continue to do some work until late afternoon even after checking out. The staff were really friendly and supportive.

When we entered the room, it was surprising to see that a towel was left on the seat of the commode. We were not sure whether this was a fresh towel or not. Also, a hair dryer would have been very useful.

As I am Loughborough born and bread I really like the location. As I know this hotel well.if I get a good price I will always stay here when I visit my family and friends.

I didn’t like the fact that the air con in my room didn’t work. Room 110. As this was needed for my stay as the room was very hot and stuffy. Also the pillows was hard. Maybe the 2 spare pillow on the unit should be soft ones. In case of needing that second pillow like I did. 1 was not enough and the second was too much as it was very hard. A softer pillow in addition would have worked well.

Stayed here overnight on 5th August with my son. Checkin was a breeze and done by smiling faces :) (always makes a difference) Room was a good size with all expected amenities. Bathroom was clean. Good pillows, quiet room, and a pretty decent breakfast with plenty of options. Everywhere was cleana nd tidy.

One minor gripe was the lack of plug sockets near the bed to plug in a phone for nearside charging or any USB ports, but understand upgrading to such options is not that simple. The bar prices were a bit steep but either of these things wouldn't stop me staying here again.

Very good clean and comfortable room with usual facilities. Bed was comfortable. Automatic air conditioning kept the room pleasantly cool in hot weather. Had a good night's sleep. Price is good value but appropriate for the distance from town. Close to A42 and the M1 and easy access to Loughborough University and town (under ten minutes drive). No traffic noise. Easy parking.

Air con is briefly noisy when it comes on or does automatic changes making a noise like a drill, the bathroom fan is also very noisy, our sleep wasn't too disturbed by this however. Outside space for the bar in the evening was in the car park, inside bar/lounge area was very hot and stuffy. However overall this was a good hotel at a good price and I would stay there again.

Travelling home from Sheffield with my son the Link Hotel was more than suitable for our needs and met all my expectations. A good location just off the M1 that was easy to find with lots of parking. The staff were very nice and helpful and check-in was quick and easy. The room was good with space to move around and importantly was clean. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and what is crucial for me is that it's quiet at night and the curtains block the daylight. No worries there as it was silent and dark. Breakfast was very nice with a good fresh selection and again the staff were great. We only stayed the one night and left with a friendly goodbye from reception. P.S. Not sure why my review scores only 8.0 as I'd say it's more like a 9.0.

The only things I could fault were that the duvet on our single beds was a bit narrow and there were no sockets by the beds. Neither was a real problem.

I was surprised with the hotel.....didn’t have high hopes for it. but AI really did enjoy my night’s sleep. Will have no problem recommending this hotel to colleagues.

Met with my expectations.....except for one point. A guest was smoking Grass in a bedroom, the lobby had a quiet strong smell of weed, I didn’t report it but I hope the staff dealt with it. didn’t affect my stay as the aroma didn’t get into my bedroom ( I was staying on the ground floor)

Staff were very friendly both on arrival and when talking through the stay. We were a little worried about breakfast as some of the reviews talked about food running low, we were really impressed with the quality and quantity. The bed was particularly comfortable! Tea and coffee facilities were supported with a couple of biscuits, which is always welcome

Whilst the bed was comfortable, the pillows could have been a bit better. Other than that, it was all good.
