The staff were very friendly at check in and there was plenty of room in the free car park although you need to make sure you type in your car registration at the desk. One of the reasons I had rejected other hotels was due to having to pay for parking. The room was really big and the bed was massive and very comfy. There was plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk sachets which was great. One of my pet hates is when hotels are stingy with the coffee and milk in the room so this was a really nice surprise for what is essentially a budget hotel. I had taken my own coffee and coffee mate with me, fully expecting to need to use them! Shower gel, shampoo and soap were also provided as well as bags for sanitary waste. I really liked this attention to detail. There was plenty of hanging and storage space and the heating in the room was great. The shower was hot and powerful and the towels were clean and soft. The big tv and free wifi were perfect. Superb hotel for my 1 night stay.

Upon entering the room there was a really strong chemical smell, I assume from whatever products they had used to clean and disinfect the bathroom/room. It was so strong they had actually left the window open and I had to leave it open most of the time as the smell was that strong and didn't dissipate. I appreciate the need to sanitize and clean thoroughly however the smell was eye watering it was that strong.

Had a lovely stay here whilst attending Download Festival. The room was spacious and comfortable with the breakfast being delicious. The staff were excellent and wonderful to speak with. One of the managers helped me big time when it came to light that there was an issue with my booking as it was charging me for an extra person. If you are ever in the area, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Looking forward to the next time.

Only minor issue was there was no phone in the room to call for room service so had to use my own phone.

Very well presented and clean, bright and spacious throughout. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean, good sized and well equipped with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was included in our package and it was very good, buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice of fruit, cereals, pastries, yogurts, cooked breakfast items, toast and spreads, hot and cold drinks. It was better than some far more expensive places we've stayed and we would definitely stay again.

The air con unit flashed all night and was annoying but I was told by reception all units are due to be replaced in the near future, which will alleviate that issue. If it hadn't been for this, I'd have given a 10/10

Location, 15 minutes walk to East side of Loughborough university, bed was huge and very comfortable, very clean, easy check-in, breakfast delicious and plenty of choice.

I did email twice to try and included breakfast to my booking beforehand as cheaper, but they sent me a ‘standard email’ that only included dinner menu. Also squeaky floorboards outside room, that did wake me up, but not at an unreasonable time, so wouldn’t stop me booking there again.

Really convenient hotel for what we needed - a base for the night ahead of visiting Loughborough University. We were greeted with a friendly reception, even at 11pm at night, and were able to leave our car in the hotel car park and walk to the university. A full English breakfast set us up nicely for the day. My request for 2 rooms next to each other was confirmed instantly.

The carpets in the corridors were stained in places, but its a minor niggle.

The staff went above and beyond to help me out during my stay. I am really pleased that this email came through to rate the hotel as I had left some feedback in the hotel and hoped that the staff would be praised. The room was super comfy, perfect location for visiting my daughter at uni. The lobby area was really welcoming and a comfortable environment to hang out playing cards in the evening too x

Staff were friendly, breakfast with plenty of choice was good, room/bed okay.

The noise outside our room which was situated in the main corridor from reception with other guests walking past being very noisy, didn't really calm down until just before midnight, therefore difficulty sleeping. Complained in the morning, staff apolgised, this happened both nights we were staying. We stay here quite a bit, this was the worst it has ever been. Evening meal could do with sprucing up, not that good so little choice

Staff were friendly and polite. The room was perfect. Decent size, huge bed, spare pillows if needed. On Wednesday 15th November when I arrived at 16.45 approx the male and female reception staff were very efficient, helpful with questions, friendly and polite. Thursday 16th & Friday 17th the lady greeting me at the restaurant for breakfast was very professional, polite and explained everything I needed to know. Restaurant tables were quickly cleaned when patrons left and the place was very clean. Impressed to see hand sanitiser available in the restaurant and when entering the reception area. Good amount of breakfast options and drinks to have. Although bathroom was a little bit tired looking water was hot and perfect for myself. No issues parking close to reception even during a busy conference. Chambermaid kept room tidy and were friendly to say good morning to on day of checkout when meeting them for first time.

No lift but at least it got me walking after having a cooked breakfast! Squeaky floorboards leading along to rooms 200+

The room (including the bathroom) was clean, the bed was comfy, and it was nice having air con. The room was big too, I didn't feel penned in like some other hotels. There was plenty of hanging space, and I was glad there were a choice of pillows (2 spare on top of the wardrobe space).

I couldn't find a plug socket near the bed, and the bed side table lamp only worked on one side. The hallway outside of the room was dated and the carpet was stained/heavily soiled - I was a bit concerned about what the room was going to be like before I entered.... Obviously it's a high traffic area, but it just wasn't a very good first impression

We visited this hotel while staying in Loughborough for my daughter's graduation. It was clean, comfortable and well-located. Staff were friendly and helpful; there was a good vibe. The room was basic but had all we required and met my expectations of a three-star hotel. We stayed for breakfast which was fine and, at £12 per person, good value by UK standards. On the whole, it did what we needed it to.

Communication with the hotel prior to the stay was hit-and-miss. Could be improved.
