The Bell Inn was a lovely little hotel. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed with very adequate amenities provided. Ample car parking space. The staff were very helpful. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, a very nicely prepared meal at a very reasonable price, and breakfasted at the hotel before leaving for home. We would unreservedly recommend The Bell Inn. The purpose of our visit was to visit The Bressingham Steam Museum and Gardens. The hotel is a short drive to the attraction.

After a long and stressful drive from Kent to Norfolk and visiting the Bressingham Steam Museum we needed to take a short nap before our evening meal. Unfortunately the 'peace' was disturbed a by a loud and lengthy conversation from the hotel kitchen area sited near to our room.

The pub was in a quiet location. The room was clean, tidy and quiet. The bathroom was of a good size. The pub itself was nice to sit and have a drink, with a log fire to keep everyone warm. The meal on the first night was on the reduced menu, which still had plenty of choice. The second night was valentines day and the menu was excellent. The food portions were of a good size and the food well cooked and prepared. Would certainly recommend eating here. The bed gave a good night's sleep. The rooms heating worked well. The breakfast in the morning had a good choice and what we had was good quality. The position of the hotel meant that getting out and about was relatively easy. On our stay we visited Norwich and Bury St Edmunds, with no problems getting about. Plenty of parking in the car park which was away from the main road.

The breakfast was excellent, good choices and superb service. the location was great, set in a lovely village. the food and drink were of a high quality. The management and staff were wonderful, as it was very warm, they supplied a portable air conditioning unit, this was a nice touch and very much appreciated. We had our dog with us, she was well treated, they even have a dog menu. Overall we had a lovely five night stay. Highly recommended.

Hard to find fault, maybe the evening food menu could have a wider range of choices, having said that, the quality of the food was excellent

Quaint and chilled out vibe, great decor, loved the dog facilities and menu even though we didnt have a dog, was lovely to see. Service awesome, shown straight to room which was beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Owl room. Bed super comfy, linen and bedding luxurious, shower and bathroom neat, styled and modern. We had pre booked a dinner reservation which the pub accomdated. Food A**** was delicious! Breakfast in morning was also amazing, great selection and service staff throughout stay was friendly, impeccable. I'd left my coatigan on leaving, which the pub called me and left a voicemail that they would keep my jacket until I returned which was very kind and thoughtful, going the extra mile. All in all, a beautiful find, one we will stay again.

On first seeing the inn, we were sure we'd like it. We were wrong -- we loved it! The staff could not have done more to ensure my awkward food intolerances were literally catered for. Each person we spoke to was so helpful, efficient, and considerate. The room was delightfully wonky, a sign of its age and history. The beds were so comfortable that I didn't want to get up! It was incredibly quiet after closing time, and the only sounds I heard in the night was a Tawny Owl calling nearby. Breakfast was hot and delicious, and I could have easily eaten another plateful. We walked the very short distance to the Co-Op and, on the way there and back to the inn, villagers -- strangers -- greeted us with a cheerful "good morning". Visually, the village is incredibly pretty, with pastel cottages lining The Street, flint cobbled walls, vast open fields, pheasants strutting along the roads. I hope to return to The Bell Inn, Rickinghall, and to stay for longer. It's a delightful place, and I couldn't have loved it more. Thank-you, Fi and everyone!

We had to leave. I would love to have stayed longer than just one night.

This lovely, quaint, pub proved to be quite a find. The rooms are comfortable and quirky. The food is truly excellent - the website indicates standard "pub grub", which in no way does it justice. I had two delicious dinners from the daily specials menu. Whoever is in the kitchen can cook and the food comes out freshly prepared and hot. I left too early each day to try breakfast, which I knew would be the case, so I cannot comment.

Parking is challenging and you may need to wait until later in the evening to move your car from up the road and into the car park.

Looking for a weekend away for my partners birthday I found the The Bell, it was a great find, not too far from home located between Diss and Bury St Edmunds it is a wonderful old building. the rooms were all animal related. We stayed in the 'Hedgehog, which was very clean, with a very comfortable bed and pillows, lovely soft towels. Tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished. I was all you wanted. The staff led by Jorden and Andy were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was very good and brekfast was scrummy. We wish the sisters continued success with their wonderful pub, we shall be returning.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate our request for a late arrival due to being held up by a series of road closures and traffic accidents. Excellent service, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast choices were excellent.

The ensuite was very cramped, the toilet seat needed fixing as it kept slipping to the side and sealant around the shower tray needed replacing but otherwise we did at least have a decent shower and modern ensuite and lovely thick towels.

Great value for money. Staff were excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Very dog friendly. Even had a dog menu!! Good food, including breakfast. Spacious room, well furnished and comfortable, lovely bar and restaurant, good beer. Lovely location. Easy parking. Would definitely stay again!

Electric shower, ran hot and cold, but electric showers tend to do that. Just be aware rooms are above the bar, but ear plugs and an eye mask were provided, which was very thoughtful. The bar is not super noisy, just people talking and it closes at a normal time anyway.

Great location with an unexpectedly good dinner in the restaurant, pushing at top restaurant quality.

The room we stayed in was not the one we had been originally allocated which had a bath rather than shower…. and we hadn’t been told of the change. Although it was a comfortable room, the shower cubicle was very small as was the space between the radiator and the lavatory. Breakfast must have been cooked by a different chef from dinner the night before because eggs were not runny enough, particularly for Eggs Benedict , and bacon rather was baked hard!!
