We were a group of 4 and got 2 double bedrooms for one night. The hotel is in an old country building and includes a nice restaurant where you can have a delicious English breakfast. The rooms were nice and cozy, but one of the rooms was above the kitchen, so it was a little too hot (June - 23). The hotel management put a fan in the room which was not very helpful. Maybe they should put an air conditioner in the room or at least a portable air conditioner. Other than that, the stay at the hotel was wonderful.

Greeting - friendly and informative Evening meal - Beautiful food, very popular so book! Staff - Very friendly and accommodating Room and Pub - Full of character and charm, loved it, would stay again. Breakfast - again beautiful fresh food, amazing eggs.
Nothing! If I was made to find something then I would suggest levelling the bed in room 5 (sloping floor) as there was a slight feeling of slipping out of bed (the right way though - feet first!) but it didn't spoil our nights sleep, just aware of it when going to sleep. But that is being really picky!!! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The team were superb. Really helpful, welcoming and accommodating.
Our room was really bijou....very little space to move around and the window opened next to the kitchens extractor fan so was unbelievably hot when we returned from an evening out. It was stifling and claustrophobic not being able to get any fresh air into the room via the quaint window, but the weather was unusually hot and they did provide a fan to help try to alleviate the problem. All said, it was beautifully styled with a spotlessly clean and newly fitted ensuite.

Beautiful place, was a bit noisy till midnight or so but guessed it was a Saturday night and the bar was busy. Quite understable
My breakfast was so bad, got 2 burned toast, which was kindly replaced but it was so obviously burned it should not have been served at the first place. We were the only person eating at that time so you can't say that it was awfully busy that was missed. My scramble eggs were full of egg shells, which I did not complain about. Did not want to seem too fussy. My bad

Lovely quiet village setting with an old fashioned feel but with modern standards and excellent beer. They have a nice courtyard with solid garden seating. Rooms was clean and comfortable with a very good shower. Gentle background noise from the bar below the room but nothing to upset comfort- bar closes at 11pm. Breakfast was very good.
The only problem was with the evening meal as the steak was chewy. The staff handled the issue politely with no fuss, offering us free puddings, so all was well.

The property was lovely. The bed and bedding were the best we have experienced in a long time. The staff were very helpful but my evening meal was disappointing, lovely steak but too few chips to satisfy and a wait for sauce after three reminders. choice of gluten free desserts was limited to ice cream or one other. I had to have the “one other” or go to bed hungry! However, the breakfast was truly delicious and the service when the lovely staff were were less busy was excellent. We would love to stay here again soon.

The breakfast was the most delicious we enjoyed during our three week holiday in England, staying at different properties most nights. The bed was the most cozy and comfortable of all that we slept in during the three weeks. The staff were young, enthusiastic and delightful.
Despite the radiator in the bedroom, the room was chilly and it was hard to get out of bed in the morning. Also, we found it rather challenging climbing in and out of the bathtub as the bathroom was somewhat cramped and we had to maneuver around the toilet to get in and out, or awkwardly open the glass shower door with the bathroom door closed. There was no luggage rack and one of the chairs, stuck in the corner under the television, was rickety so we didn't want to put anything on it or sit on it. A comfy arm chair and luggage rack would be a great addition to the room.

Beautiful room and no need to look further for dinner: the pub below serves great food.
Well, it is above a pub and the building is very old so in the evening do expect to hear music and people chatting downstairs up til closing time. For me this was not a problem at all, as I had some work to do in the evening anyway. However, the music they played during breakfast in the morning, was a little bit to loud for me, as I could hear it very well while I was still in bed.

The room is beautiful, with the bathtub in there. Great shower - powerful. Spacious rooms. Amenities re-filled everyday - generous. The restaurant is fantastic. We had pizzas one evening who h were exceptional, the breakfast is also plentiful and delicious. Lots of free car parking too.
The staff are up early to sort breakfast for guests so both days we were woken up at 7am by the noise - not the end of the world as we spent all day out of the room but would have been nice to have a lie-in one morning.

The pub is very traditional and cosy. The staff are very nice, our room comfortable but small. It is in a lovely spot near the Wychwood Wild Garden and manor house
The staff often took a long time to bring things and items seemed to be forgotten. The food was nice but in my view a bit pricey. The shower was in the room and a big person would have had a difficult time using the en-suite toilet. Overall though we enjoyed our stay.
