- The historic building set in a beautiful, quaint village makes for the perfect setting for a few nights in the Cotswolds. - The food was very tasty and well prepared. - Nice beers available in the bar. - The room was very comfortable, cozy and clean.

- It is way, way overpriced for what it is as at the end of the day it’s not a hotel it’s just a pub (a nice pub) but just a pub in the countryside. In fact there aren’t services available at the place that would warrant the price they ask. To be fair though this is true for the whole of the Cotswolds in general, everything here is overpriced and made out to be more than what it actually is. It’s still worth visiting but there are other places in the UK that are just as beautiful and don’t want to be as pretentious or greedy! - The breakfast was nice but a little light on options and portions, especially for the more international market.

We were just staying for 1 night beautiful quiet location evening meal was excellent, breakfast was also excellent, the sunrise from our room in the morning was special. The room was a nice size and a very sensibly sized bathroom with places to put your washbags. The staff were all really friendly

It's hard to be critical but just a few tweaks would have been perfect a large mirror over the tea/coffee station instead of a picture would have made that room (Riverside) 10/10 just for ease of using hair dryer/straighteners. And a choice of a harder pillow but that's just me.

Everything! It exceeded our expectations by a long way. I didn’t manage to view pictures online so wasn’t sure what we would get. As a family of 5, Debo’s room was absolutely perfect. It was a suite with separate lounge area which had two singles for kids (paid £25 extra for the second one) epic bedroom with emperor sized bed, lounge area and dressing table. Our toddler chose to sleep with us, but there was oodles of room for a foldaway bed had we wanted one. Great breakfast in the morning. Idyllic location. Highly recommend.

Only downside was there being no shower. Lovely luxury bathroom but it only had the tap attachment for a shower. I tried to sit in the bath and use it as a shower but I absolutely soaked the place as there was no shower curtain (there was evidence someone else had tried this in the past!! ) Did my best to mop it up. Fine to bathe the kids but no so great for 6’2 husband keen to get washed, fed and on with the day. That is, it would be great on a romantic break maybe, but less convenient for a family with less time for the relaxing comforts of a lovely roll top bath. :)

This is a very picturesque gastro pub in the most beautiful setting in the Cotswolds. It is full of history as owned by the Duchess of Devonshire and photos of the Mitford girls are on the walls throughout. The breakfast was very nice - we had smashed avocado and tomatoes on toast with a poached egg for example. The dinner menu was good but quite expensive. We had one of the smallest bedrooms. The toiletries were excellent, made especially for the Swan. It was lovely to look out of our window and see the bantam chickens moving around. The walks around the Swan were great - everywhere is so picturesque and jaw droppingly beautiful.

The tea cups were so tiny -more like coffee cups and it would have been nice to have fresh milk.

The staff were superb, and super friendly. Good value for money overall. Great food, evening and breakfast, fast and enjoyable. Quite location. Room was fantastic, with your own little garden to enjoy drinks in the evening or first thing in the morning, if you wanted a little privacy. But with a large spacey outdoor main garden, to which everyone visiting seemed nice and friendly too. Now in our favourite list for future stays when travelling south, or just need a short break and change of scenery. Superb.

Cannot think of any real negatives.

Really lovely pub and very cute, decent sized room with large bed & sofa. Spacious bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion etc, hairdryer and the room was lovely and warm. Evening meal was excellent as were the cocktails & breakfast!

My one criticism would be like so many hotel rooms there was no socket near a mirror for the hairdryer, so frustrating that these things aren’t thought of, I had to use a compact mirror which wasn’t ideal. Other than that would have been a 10/10

Room very comfortable and clean. Warm. Spacious bathroom & bespoke toiletries Comfy chair & intersting books on the bookshelf. Regretted staying only one night as I will now never get to finish the biography of the eighth Duke of Devonshire - for whom the phrase “noblesse oblige” could have been invented. Beautiful location. Food good too.

The water in the shower was too hot for me and I could not work out how to make it cooler.

The Swan is in a beautiful location, amazing surroundings and a fabulous place to stay. The old stone buildings have been very tastefully converted with lovely decor. The staff are extremely friendly, incredibly efficient and very helpful. The food delicious with a wide variety of dishes. The whole experience was just superb.

the property was absolutely perfect for our stay, the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble for anything we requested.

The property was very clean and very well maintained. We had Debo’s room for 2 nights the room was very clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The bathroom was situated between the 2 bedrooms which was very convenient for us as we had our 11 year old grandson with us. The meals were all 5 star quality. The situation suited us perfectly as we were visiting World of crocodiles before arriving at the Swann Inn and then on to Cotswold Wildlife Park the next day, we will definitely recommend the Swann to friends and family who might be visiting the area.

the pub/ hotel was extremely pretty and comfortable. The manager and staff very friendly and helpful. We had a perfect bowl of soup before a wedding locally and delicious dinner by the fire later that evening. Delicious cooked breakfast all with fresh local food. We loved the whole place.

Our room was a bit cold and it turned out the underfloor heating had broken. The manager was very concerned and gave us an efficient blow heater so guess just bad luck. Possibly one more blanket on the bed would have been good but otherwise comfy. One broken bulb on the mirror but not a big problem.
