The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the garden. The bookable breakfast was great; lots of fresh produce and with delicious coffee. We were able to have breakfast 2x in the garden which was great. The owners were extremely friendly. The location was ideal; wonderfully quiet.... You woke up to the twittering of the birds. The B&B is within driving distance of several pubs and or cycling distance a star worthy restaurant.

The only downside to our room was that the bathroom was not en-suite (Superior King Room). The toilet and shower were downstairs, the room itself was on the second floor. In particular that there was a chance (although not very big), that you could bump into the other guests in the hall of the B&B, we found a bit objectionable. In the room itself it was not equally convenient to have breakfast; you had to either sit on the bed or on the couch to have breakfast. Particularly due to the lack of the en-suite bathroom, we did find the price-quality ratio a bit skewed.

The location of this let is outstanding. We were only there for two nights, but I wish we could have stayed longer. The owners greeted us with open arms even though we were delayed on the M25 and got there a lot later than planned (many apologies). A cold flask of fresh milk and a show round the room and its facilities even though Jenny had to be up early the following day to make breakfast for the other guests. The room was beautifully decorated and the soft furnishings were perfect. It's the little personal touches that made this property such a gem and we will definitely be returning for another stay in the Cotswolds. We ordered breakfast for the second morning of our stay and it was truly outstanding. I am not going to ruin the surprise by telling you all about the numerous items that were included in our brekafast but the hostesses were so attentive to detail it was a delight. Its location in the very small village of Idbury was perfect. Away from the crowds in the local Bouton, Chipping Norton and Stow but close enough to drive in and soak up the hustle and bustle or take in some of the walks in the beautiful rolling landscape of the Cotswolds. Thank you for your hospitality, we will see you again in another season x

We couldn't fault anything apart from only being there for two nights as we would have loved to stay longer but unable to do so due to other Eastet commitments.

The breakfast was very good and healthy with fresh fruit and breads, croissants yoghurt, coffee every morning with variety of jams etc. The room was light and airy, very tranquil setting, ideal for quiet getaway to explore cotswolds. The hosts arranged bookings for dinner each night at local pubs and restaurants, all of which provided exceptional food, you do need to drive to these as not really within walking distance but only 5 to 10 minutes by car.

Weather maybe, but that was it.

Lovely clean accommodation in a small village , ideal for a nice peaceful getaway. Jenny greeted us at the premises and was very knowledgeable about the area, even booked us a table at a nearby Restaurant. The village has got no pub etc but only a couple of minutes drive gets you to some lovely pubs/restaurants, we would recommend the Chequers in Churchill. Accommodation is ideally situated for reaching the nearby 'popular' places - Burford, Stow and Boughton on the Water .

We loved everything about the property. It's location is close enough to visit all the villages by car easily but far enough away that you're guaranteed a very quiet night. The bed was super comfy and we opted to have breakfast served in the morning which was amazing. Sat out in the beautiful garden, enjoying a fresh coffee and a lovely selection of breads and pastries with my wife was very special.

Jenny and John were very friendly & welcoming, also gave us plenty of info about the local area, places to visit/eat/directions. Stunning surroundings, peaceful garden that we were able to access and view from our room. 10/10! Very relaxing break! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nothing! Even the weather was wonderful!

The annex for guests is just perfect. Lots of character, comfortable, plenty of space, plenty of privacy. There’s a stunning garden which guests can make use of, and a delicious (and plentiful!) continental style breakfast can be ordered in advance for a time of your choosing. A really great location for access to Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water, so makes for a great central base.

Such a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable and homely, with beautiful surroundings. Extremely peaceful location and the property is very clean with charm and character. The breakfasts are superb and highly recommended. And our host Jenny was so welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend a stay at The Old School.

Only that we couldn’t stay longer!

My partner and I had a amazing time at The Old School. Jenny and her partner were very helpful they couldn't do enough for us. Gorgeous breakfast outside on the terrace. Very English garden roses trees, lots of wild birds. Would recommend this place if you wanted a nice relax break. Breakfast is an extra £12.50 each but well worth it.

Property owners gave marvelous attention to every detail. We felt very well cared for and lacked nothing. It was quiet and out-of-the-way, yet a short drive (or a very beautiful walk!) from idyllic Cotswold towns. We ourselves walked here from Stow on the Wold and walked out to Bourton on the Water—beautiful hikes. We definitely recommend staying here.
