Anton House is exceptional. Louise goes the extra mile to ensure guests are happy, providing free bottled water, fresh milk and biscuits and baking cakes for when you return after a long day's sightseeing. Louise is happy to recommend places to eat. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order (porridge was delicious), and Louise takes time to introduce guests to each other. Rain shower was lovely. Although parking was on the road we never had a problem finding space.

If you are tall it may be worth calling ahead and asking for a room on the 1st floor. We were in the attic and my husband had to duck a lot to avoid beams.

Our stay was really great. Louise was a really good host; very welcoming and went out of her way to make you feel comfortable and spoilt. The breakfast was delicious, cooked to perfection with quality produce. There was homemade coffee cake, cold bottled water and nice biscuits offered as well as a bottle of Prosecco as I mentioned it was my birthday 😊, how kind is that! The shower was brilliant, proper power shower and all the organic toiletries too. The guest house is a quick walk into Shrewsbury town so ideal location. I would highly recommend a stay at Anton Guest House.

The only thing we didn't like was the noise of the traffic in the early morning, if it wasn't so warm we wouldn't have opened the window so that would've prevented that.

Our 3rd stay at Anton's, Louise goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. Property is in a great position, easy to find plenty of on street parking nearby, room was comfortable, with a good bathroom. The breakfast was superb, with a really good selection and a added extras like the home made cake and biscuits and sweet make the stay extra special.

Very little, our room (the rain bedded room on the top floor) was a but smaller than before, but that was our mistake in leaving booking till quite late, but it was still perfectly comfortable for a short stay. And I found the pillow a bit firm, but that is my personal preference, my husband found it fine.

Lovely little b&b with everything possible you could need, friendly owner . It's about a 15 min walk from the town centre. Stayed in room 6 amazing comfy bed , extra blankets, and pillows if needed. The room was lovely warm and had all the added little extras of tea , coffee, biscuits, milk there was homemade cake in the dining area, bottled water to help yourself, breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice, I would happily stay here again .

Room 6, the water pressure was non-existent, and we couldn't get hot water through the shower. We were able to use another room shower, but that was only when it was not occupied by other guests.

Property ideally suited for a 10 minute walk into town. A lovely characterful old property with lovely clean room with en suite and comfortable large bed. Parking is on the road where there’s plenty of space. Louise is the most wonderful host, rooms have everything and more (robe, slippers, toiletries, tea & coffee etc). She was so welcoming to dietary requirements and even catered for a late breakfast in order to take in a parkrun. We can’t thank her enough and highly recommend a stay at this property.

The owner and her sister are very welcoming and friendly, nice little extras like home made cake, use of fridge in dining room, chocolates and biscuits in the room. Everything was spotlessly clean. Lots of choice for breakfast, all piping hot when it came out and very tasty. The location is good, just far enough out of town to be quiet but walking distance to the centre. Parking is on the road but this wasn’t a problem and we found a space straight away. I would definitely stay here again .

excellent location, fantastic host, Louise goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable, from the moment we arrived till the time we left Louise couldn’t do enough for us, lovely room (dove room 2) clean and tidy, comfy bed, well stocked tea tray. Good sized bathroom, great shower plenty of hot water. Breakfast was well cooked and very tasty, Louise also baked lovely cakes for the guests to enjoy. cannot recommend Anton house highly enough, will definitely stay there again if ever I’m in Shrewsbury again.

The location was great (10mins walk into Shrewsbury Town centre). Parking wasn't a problem and Louise was lovely and welcoming. This was my second stay in less than a month. The rooms are small but extremely comfortable and clean. The breakfast is lovely and freshly made cake is offered on arrival. It's not your modern hotel style rooms (nor should it be as this is a characterful home) but if you enjoy a more personal touch I would recommend this b&b.

The host is incredibly friendly and lovely. I was very late for the check-in but she was so understanding and helped with it, making it very simple. The room was super clean and beautiful. There was all I needed and more! Breakfast was exceptional and gluten free options were available. I particularly enjoyed the eggs but everything was delicious. The area was very quiet so I could have a proper rest. I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

We were made very welcome and literally everything needed for a homely stay was to hand be it a large comfortable bed, toiletries, drinks, biscuits etc and home made carrot cake available as an added bonus …. a really nice touch! Breakfast’s were also delicious with plenty of choice. The attention to detail is second to none and couldn’t fault this gem of a place. I have no hesitation in recommending. Thank you Louise
