The location is excellent with fantastic views and walking distance to the beach. Our room was nice and clean, breakfast has been great with staff being helpful and friendly.

Our spacious room only contained a small double bed, which was a shame. If the bed would have been slightly bigger our stay would have been perfect.

The room looked a bit on the grubby side There was mould on the wall in the children's room Wasn't enough towels to keep a family of 4 going for the 3 days before they come and clean the rooms

Beautiful views. Room was quiet and lovely and spacious. Dinner was really tasty, as was breakfast. Lots for children so very family friendly, our daughter enjoyed the play area, sand pit and running around the green areas. Pool was super warm (indoor that is, we didn’t brave outdoor).

Timings! We have a young child who turns in to a ‘werechild’ if she’s late to bed so we booked dinner for 5pm thinking that was ample time to get her to bed around 7pm. We ordered relatively promptly but our mains (which were delicious) came out at around 6.45pm. We definitely couldn’t stay for pud and the girl was in bed after 8pm :-(

lovely view - very clean. Breakfast excellent - waiters and waitresses very helpful and cheerful. They also catered very well for our family of 16 guests. The restaurant staff were wonderful when they arranged for our faimly of 16 to have an evening meal in the restaurant at short notice , Very much appreciated.

Just one small request - we would have liked to have drawers in our room as we were with you for 1 week and we had to keep some of our clothes, etc in the suitcase. This is not a complaint as we understand that we can request a room with drawers when we return.

The location was perfect, only a 20-minute walk into St Ives or 5 minutes by car. The hotel and the grounds were amazing, and the staff were incredibly polite and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, with a nice variety to choose from, and again, the staff were always cleaning away empty plates and topping up food very quickly. Evening meal in the main restaurant was also very tasty and again the staff could not have been more friendly. Our room was basic but large and came with all the amenities along with a lovely sea view.

My partner had trouble sleeping as the mattress was very soft in our room, but that's down to preference, really. We were disappointed that there was no longer any spa facilities available, as the weather was not our friend on one of the days it would have been lovely to have been able to have use of not only an indoor pool but also a sauna and a jacuzzi. I was told by a member of staff that they closed all this off a year or 2 ago, which is a shame, especially on those bad weather days. The indoor pool itself was fine, however little to no seating for if you just wanted to relax by the pool, and then the changing room had no cubicles for any privacy to get dried and dressed other than 2 toilets.

The grounds are stunning, it’s a really beautiful place to stay. The bedrooms are big and the staff are all lovely and helpful. It’s a short walk to the beach and in to St Ives. It’s hilly but doable if you are moderately fit. We managed it carrying paddle boards! I’ll definitely be back- we really loved our stay.

The shower wasn’t very good- could just about get it warm enough but the pressure went. Ended up having some pretty chilly showers! There was a wedding taking place and the noise could be heard in our bedroom as we went to sleep. The bar was pretty pricey.

Beautiful Hotel set on top of the hill with stunning views of St Ives. We had an accommodation only apartment with a garden view. We enjoyed being free to come and go as we wished. Our accommodation was good with everything we needed.

A very steep walk up and back from St Ives to our accommodation (and I mean very steep) also some really cheeky and noisy seagulls that made quite a racket really early in the morning. Also with noise from work and maintenance workshops that started early in the morning didn't give one much of a line in.

The Tregenna Castle is such a beautiful hotel and the grounds are really something special with a lovely view over to St Ives. The service from the staff in the restaurant and all the staff we met were so polite and helpful and nothing was a problem ever. The evening dining was very nice although a little pricey I thought for evening meals we only ate there twice. The Sunday Roast was very nice and reasonably priced. We did not have Breakfast so I cannot comment on that. The hotel is very clean and very beautiful. Our room was very nice we were on the ground floor in room 3. We had a Seaview room. Plenty of places to park and free parking . A nice woodland walk access from the hotel down to StIves takes about 20 minutes maximum it is a hill so be aware in advance its not as easy getting back up! There is a swimming pool and tennis courts and gym / Spa on site, we did not use any of those so I cannot comment on that. I would definately stay here again if we are ever in that part of Cornwall again St ives is beautiful and so is the hotel.

More Tea and coffee in the rooms as they do not top up your room you have to ask reception for more and also no bottled water in the rooms. Very noisy guests on our last night a group of people staying on our level shouting / banging doors early hours of the morning we were in room 3 which is on the ground floor level and you can hear everyone going by , but I would like to add that before they came it was very peaceful and quiet there. We did complain and I believe other guests also complained about them. There was a cobweb in the bathroom and some damp mould on the shower screen in the corner all these things you notice in the bath!.

Really enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave. The grounds are like a walk round botanical gardens. The staff are so friendly. The pool was warm (we didn’t try the outside pool). You can easily walk in to st ives in 15minutes (walking back is more challenging). Breakfast was lovely (there was no black pudding but there was fried bread so I’ll let them off). We stayed in the keynvor cottage which was like a home from home. It has been decorated very modern and was very comfortable.

Walking back up that hill. But I’m not sure the hotel could do much about that

Breakfast was very good, nice choice of hot and cold food, slight blimp on second day, no beans due to none delivery, third day scrambled eggs were under cooked very sloppy, other than that very good. Location of the hotel very good, walked into the town centre within fifteen minutes, walk back from the town centre to the hotel took longer due to the steep climb, decided to book a taxi the next time for the return journey at a cost of £7. Hotel has a lovely heat swimming pool. Plenty of parking spaces. Good accessibility for disabled. At present the hotel is short staffed so there is some things not to their usual standard but you are informed prior to your booking, this did not prevent us having a good break. Will book this hotel again should I visit St Ives again.

Better choice of food in the bar for those who would prefer a casual evening meal and not want to eat in the main restaurant. Sunbeds in the swimming area would be nice.
