Amazing location, which is why we booked here. Included breakfast was excellent!

The lift is broken and apparently has been for a long time. It is not mentioned anywhere that you will have to climb several levels of stairs to get to your room. We were on the top floor and it was very difficult with our luggage. I imagine that many seniors would not make it and feel it should have been made known on the booking so people have the option of booking a lower floor if they feel thay cannot make the hike.

Staff are welcoming and helpful and the location is excellent for train, shopping, sightseeing and restaurants.. My room was cosy, comfy bed, new carpet and good decorative order. Good shower with plenty of hot water. All round excellent value.

Minor niggles only: 2 night stay and room wasn’t refreshed. I tend to make my bed, rinse mugs in the morning so not an issue. but there was no information to stay they don’t. I personally like bins emptied, and more than one tteabag for 2 nights. Some limitation on slots for pre booked breakfast. if you need a specific time book ahead of checking in.

Breakfast buffet was really good. A nice selection to choose from, including gluten free items. I really liked the decor of the hotel and the area that lunch was served. Very comfortable and a nice distance from other patrons, so conversation could be kept private. The room was rather small compared to what we are used to in Canada, but very well appointed, up to date and exceptionally clean. Staff were very friendly and effecient. Mapa's restaurant had exceptional service and a diverse menu. With a our dietary restrictions it is sometimes difficult to always eat out. We found plenty of options to choose from and the staff were very accomodating.

The location was difficult since we didn't have a car. There were no taxi's in the area, so getting back up the hill was difficult for me. Next time I will know to rent a car to make getting around that much easier.

A convenient wee location; excellent customer service from the staff member who checked me in. I was riddled with a cold and not feeling 100%, so you can imagine my delight at having a super comfortable room, fresh sheets and a big cosy duvet! Room decor was beautifully done, an old brick fireplace with flagstones greets you as you walk in, old but lovingly maintained furniture feature in the room. Perfect for travellers who still prefer a hotel over a soulless Air BnB!

Upgraded my room to a room with a view. There wasn't one, just a wall outside my window with the tops of the buildings across poking through. To be honest given the dark evening and dark morning, it didn't really matter

Nice room for our overnight stay. The bathroom was clean and good water pressure in the shower. The bed was comfortable too.. we have been travelling for 6 weeks and that is the best bed I've slept in yet. Staff were very friendly and helped me to a different car park when the one behind them was full. But it was only a few minutes walk to the hotel and in a safe area with lots of spots, only 3 pounds for 24 hours too. Breakfast was good and the wifi was good too. Good value for money.

The TV reception wasn't very good and we couldn't watch it, but that is very minor. Could hear people outside from the room but it quietens off not too late anyway.

The room was comfortable. The hotel layout was interesting as the room was closer to the car park than to the reception bar area. Service was friendly. Nice to have a bar within the hotel but drinks were pricey. Hotel in walking distance from several good restaurants in Stirling. Breakfast was good, especially the Scottish breakfast and the porridge. The restaurant no longer serves dinner.

There could be a little more a la carte available on the breakfast menu. There seemed to be confusion in servicing the room. It was very difficult in getting non decaf coffee put in the room even though it was requested. Housekeeping was uneven; they emptied the trash cans but did not make the bed or replace the coffee packets. When asked, they left more decaf.

Bed was comfortable shower was lovely and warm the room looked bigger in the photos but there was enough space for both my husband and I - no complaints really. Breakfast was lovely and I enjoyed the fact that it was pre-bookable so there would be no waiting around for a table.

I had asked for a late checkout as we where going to a wedding 10 mins away from Stirling and it didnt start until 1 - I asked a good few weeks prior to arriving and was told to ask when I arrived and that it would probably be okay however the housekeeping declined our request which meant we had to then get up earlier to get ready and we had to go to the wedding venue really early - I think for next time if someone requests a late checkout it should be agreed there and then at time of booking so that this doesnt happen as this was a bit of a disappointment. Not anyones fault but that would be the only thing I would mention that was disappointing.

Very cute boutique hotel, which was beautifully decorated. The bed was comfy, there was lots of space, came with a wardrobe full of hangers, an iron with board and hairdryer. The bathroom was very clean and housekeeping kept on top of fresh towels and water. There was tea and coffee options in the room too and it was easy to just slip in and out to explore when we wanted to. WiFi is free and very fast too.

There are quite a few stairs and I did see a lift but it mustn't have been working as it was never offered to us for bags or accessibility reasons. Very pleasant place otherwise!

Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were very nice & polite. I thought the restaurant setting and staff were lovely I cannot fault them.

Upon arrival staff informed us that shower screen in our room was faulty due to previous guests but unable to fix due to being weekend. I appreciated their honesty. After our night out we returned to hotel around 10.30 and couldn't find tv remote anywhere in the room and only one cup so had to make my husbands tea after I'd finished mine. Had it been earlier I would have contacted reception. Not a massive issue but just a small detail overlooked.

The room was lovely and cosy. Bathroom was a really good size and had place to put things with a good mirror. Shower was really good too! Staff were really friendly and welcoming and more than happy to help us when we arrived late at night due to travelling a long distance and couldn’t enter the back door.

Being sent the code to enter the back door in advance, when you park at the back, as we had to call them to come and open it and it was pouring down with rain. The breakfast was quite small and we ended up buying another as still hungry. It also took a long time to come out in spite of being asked to book a time.
