Due to being temporarily on crutches I had requested a room with a shower rather than a bath - the hotel went one step further and gave us an accessible room with a wet room which was fabulous. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and always warm - the toaster is the only hotel toaster I've ever come across where you didn't have to put the toast through more than once. Staff friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the bar one of the nights and it was really good and very reasonably priced

Not a criticism, but more for info - the hotel is on the outskirts of Stirling town (approx 2 miles out) but there's a bus stop just yards away that will get you into the town centre. Bannockburn experience and battlefield is literally next door and well recommended

Hotel actually nicer inside than out.Reception staff were OK but regret to inform you when going into restaurant for breakfast your suppose to clear it with the staff, who then had a attitude that we went and got our breakfast. She approached us with " what room are you your suppose to clear it with me" I replied but nobody told us.There was also 2prs of socks and a piece of wire on the shelves from previous guests

Breakfast was awful, tattie scones don't think we're even cooked, everything was just luke warm,I was so disappointed being scottish and staying in England was so looking forward to it.I would opt out of breakfast if I was to stay again

Good sized room with a view of the park. Plenty of off-road parking. Good on-site restaurant and breakfast although I had to leave early so I didn't have the cooked breakfast. Helpful staff sorted out the problem of unsupervised teenage boys in the corridor outside my room.

Initially the receptionist couldn't find my booking. I had confirmed online. Once they did they were friendly and helpful. Some guests were teenage boys part of a boxing club who were not fully supervised by their responsible adults. They were messing about in the corridor. I needed to go to reception to sort this out.

Huge room with an equally huge bathroom - the latter was much appreciated. Very clean and bright. Room was quite hot, but a fan was provided and we could open the windows. Breakfast was buffet-style, so you can take as much or as little as you want. There was entertainment on our first night which was a pleasant surprise, and there was a fully stocked bar. The hotel is right next door to Bannockburn, so we looked out our window right onto the field. Getting a bus to the accommodation was a bit tricky, but there was plenty of parking so if we came again we'd probably bring a car. Staff were lovely and the other guests were also very friendly!

We booked a twin, but got a double. We didn't mind, as it was actually two singles stuck together and was pretty huge, but it might be worthwhile clarifying at reception before you go to the room. It's a fair distance, and after walking all the way we weren't bothered enough to go back. (Not an issue with the hotel at all, more of a hint - I'm sure they would have moved us or sent someone to alter the bed if we'd asked.) The first thing we did when we came into the room was to look for the biscuits, but there weren't any. The lock on the door was a bit tricky and it took some skill to get the card to register.

Stayed the one night as planned. Booked a Superior Room with park view. Let me get the bad things out the way first. 1. From my room I wouldn't say there was a Park View. Only a line of trees. 2. The TV reception was very poor. Hardly any of the channels where watchable. That's it for the bad parts. To be fair neither bothered us that much. The receptionist was pleasant, checking in was faultless. If I was picky I'd say that I'd rather pay for my stay at the end rather than before I had even seen my room. The room was clean and modern. The bed was massive. Would have liked two arm chairs and a bigger table in the room instead of one arm chair and a small table. The en-suite was tidy and clean and modern. Picky again but I like a toilet brush next to the toilet. Booked evening meal for 6.30pm. Met at restaurant entrance and shown to our table. Good sized menu. Plenty to choose from. We had for starters a prawn cocktail and a brucheta. Both beautifully presented and very tasty. Main course we chose, Steak Pie and Sirloin Steak covered in bbq sauce and grilled cheese. Nothing left on the plate at the end shows a good sign that we enjoyed our meal. Our waitress, Tracey, was very nice. Good for a chat and making us feel welcome. Slept great, bed was comfortable and pillows where firm. Booked breakfast for 9am. Breakfast was self service. Fantastic choice from toast, croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurt and of course full English breakfast. Fresh coffee and tea and fruit juices. Really enjoyed the cooked breakfast. After breakfast we packed the car, checked out and walked around the corner to visit the King Robert monument. Out of 10 I'd give the hotel 9.5/10 (if the tv worked better I'd have given 10/10) I did report the TV to reception on checking out. Will we return to this hotel? Yes definitely, we're already looking at the dates for our next visit.

Just me being picky. We enjoyed our stay.

Location, the room was very comfortable and finished to a high standard and the bathroom was large and luxurious, I had a very comfortable one night stay .

As a solo traveller finding out where to park my rental car was impossible as there was nowhere to temporarily park the car so that I could go to the checkin counter and find out where to park the car overnight . This resulted in having to park some distance away in a shopping centre carpark and then walking with heavy bags etc back to the hotel. The subsequent overnight parking fee in the shopping centre was very expensive as after a long day of driving I couldn’t waste anymore time stuffing around with car parking.

I loved everything about this hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, the food was excellent. We booked our meals for the evening and it felt like we were family. Tracey was so lovely and friendly and we chatted so easily. The lady who did the breakfast (Sandra?) was amazing. She booked everyone for breakfast, cleared tables and topped up juice etc with a smile. The receptionists were so friendly and helpful and kept a beady eye on my wheelchair for me. I cannot wait to come back, this is truly a wee gem. Thank you all for a lovely relaxed weekend 1😁

There was nothing I didn't like. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and always found something not quite as it should have been, but this one is definitely a jewel.

Location, food was excellent both evening meal & breakfast. Staff were accommodating, barman offered to put football on tv in the lounge for us Rooms were comfortable, no noise , plenty of tea/ coffee on tray, plus room & bathroom were a really good size and well decorated. Would stay here again.

The front door was in need of a lick of paint, all scuffed gives a bad first impression. The finishes in the corridors and the bath were slipshod. The tap in our room was not attached properly and swivelled round & we had to use soap from the shower dispenser as the sink one was empty. ( All ok in our sons room) I messaged via Booking.com re vegan food & bed choices, no reply. I then sent it via email and was told to give them the info at reception. Bed choice not correct in sons room and we were passed around to barman & kitchen staff re food, still waiting for promised vegan sausage At breakfast top plate still had food on it and juice glass had bits, we decided they needed to clean their dishwasher. Just need a bit of attention to detail to bring it up the scoring.

The staff were super friendly and the best part of this hotel. Especially when a lovely lady helped get a wasp out of the room when I had first arrived! The location is amazing right next to the battle of Bannockburn. The bar downstairs was cosy. It was a short drive into town. It had a view out to the robert the bruce monument! The bed was comfortable.

At the end of the day it is a high turn over motel so set your expectations. The toilet bowl had not been properly cleaned so I avoided the shower for my one night stay. But as long as you are not expecting the Ritz, it was fine for a stop over.
