Excellent hotel, in notable old school building, for visiting the fascinating City of Stirling. First and foremost good car parking, although on busier days this might get full. The room was of a good size and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location is a short walk downhill for pubs and restaurants (suggest drink in No. 2 Baker Street, eating choices are varied,) and a short walk uphill to the Castle, which is a must. There's a swimming pool as well, though we ran out of time to try this. Overall To Be Recommended.

Went to the bar for a nightcap; felt that malt whiskies were a little overpriced, though selection was good.

A bit noisey during the night with people running in the coridor. Breakfast was good with a good choice. of hot and cold food.

A walk-in shower would have been much better. If you have trouble walking then the location of the hotel is not for you.

Beautiful architecture, excellent service, phenomenal location, and the rooms were amazing. The staff were so friendly, and the facilities were top class. The staff were extremely skilful in their ability to balance their attentiveness with a relaxed atmosphere and respectful distance. Often misjudged by establishments in the UK and other countries we have visited; but definitely not with yourselves. We also have to add how we were taken with the astounding menu and quality of the food. We all enjoyed our meals enormously and it is great credit to yourselves that such cuisine was available without charging the earth. I must admit that I had so long looked forward to Haggis at breakfast again... Unfortunately, not all my family agreed but besides them, the breakfast in general was amazing. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to stay with yourselves again. This was our second visit after we were so impressed the first time, and we hope to see a third very soon. Everyone in town and all of yourselves made us feel very welcome; like we had 'come home'.

To be sincerely honest, there was nothing we didn't like. It's genuinely one of the best hotels we've stayed at.

Breakfast convenient and good variety Flowers beautiful Waitress very friendly Front desk staff helpful and kind Liked the parking lot enclosure, made our vehicle protected

Some breakfast items cold or not held at proper temp, even at 830am some items ran out Main entrance could be marked better. We came up the street, saw big lettering on building and entered at that back door. Lots of stairs. You need to figure out a way to ramp the entrance for elderly with wheeled suitcases OR have handsome Scot bellhop ready to lift Need little fans to check out at front desk. Room a bit stuffy. Window opens very little

The location was fantastic! The sitting rooms and sitting areas in the hotel were very good. The breakfast was great.

The bed was two single beds moved together. So our double bed was very uncomfortable, as we would fall down in the middle and a good night’s sleep was near impossible. The restaurant dining was a bit disappointing. One piece of toast served with a pot of pate. When I asked for more toast, I received 1 more piece of toast. Eventually, I did receive more bread for the pate, but I shouldn’t have had to ask, it was obvious that you need something to spread the pate on.

Location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Stirling city centre. Size of room was great, and bed really comfortable - had fantastic night's sleep. Really enjoyed our stay.

Our evening meal was not value for money. Serving a steak in strips like chips which was very tough did not meet our expectations and was not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was also a little challenging as there is no booking system for times to come for breakfast and the restaurant cannot cope when everyone comes for breakfast at the same time. The staff did their very best to accommodate everyone but it might be better to allocate times for breakfast as they do for dinner.

The staff were fantastic despite some difficult and needy guests. 1st - Arrogant man intimidating a female member of Staff to try get a discount for a steak, which had he looked at the website and listened to the patient Staff, he would have understood the rules and what an a-la-carte menu is and what was included in their deal. 2nd - Man at breakfast complaining that his table was wet, it had just been wiped by staff and was dry almost instantly after, he acted like a petulant child and was rude to the female member of Staff. The Staff were very kind, respectful and patient throughout our stay.

Certain guests with an aura of immaturity and self importance. The room itself needs some TLC, cupboard door loose, desk and drawers a bit of an iffy smell. Despite some of the events caused by guests, the hotel and Staff itself were fantastic and very professional.

We loved the massive welcome we got from we think her name was Anne when we arrived. She was super friendly and with a huge smile. We hope you let her know that she did a good job, also your bar and restaurant staff was so accommodating also. I have worked in this industry previously and with all that has happened over the last 2 years, it is always a nice gesture to let your staff know that they do a good job, as I always think you get more from your staff with a good appraisal. Just love the location and the setting. Will be back on our next visit. Thanks again

Great service, lovely staff and brilliant facilities and it's not an ugly building without character. I used the swimming pool and sauna. Good breakfast. Lovely location on the hill - great views. (Though if you have bad knees you might better get a taxi all the way to the front door. The street at the front of the hotel has a short stretch of very steep incline.) At the back of the hotel there are lovely ways along the town wall and the castle is also closeby. Very central location but also very quiet. Very happy overall with my stay!

Nothing to add here! Very happy overall. I had late check out as I had the deluxe room package but even normal checkout is at 11am.

The location was great. Right in the middle of the historic area. Parking was a real bonus in the middle of town. The building was interesting and had good features. The bar was comfortable, although the knowledge of the bar staff was limited, but they were very pleasant even though.

Not being able to have dinner in the restaurant did create a problem (they restricted it to only those who took the 'dinner' option with the room), however it worked in our favour as we had a fantastic traditional Scottish meal in Brea in the town, but only because we ate early (4pm). Once 6pm came the handful of open eateries in the town were fully booked. There was a very large contingent of young toursits who created noise until fairly late in the rooms.
