The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Evening meal was lovely, very generous portion size. Staff were on the ball all evening. Becky the owner of the business came over for a quick chat and finished up nattering for a while. What a lovely person she was. 100% would and probably will stay there again when in the area.
This is not a complaint in any way. Breakfast was served from eight. Unfortunately, we had to get away at 7.30, so we missed out on "the full english". A little earlier for breakfast would have been great. None the less, they did provide us with bacon sandwiches, pre-prepared to take away. So all was good.

Very warm welcome from Becky on arrival and for the continuation of our stay, Staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect The Bulls Head is full of History and character dating back to around 1570 and we found it very interesting looking at all the period features around the building We chose to stay for an evening meal and had a fantastic meal with plenty of options to choose from the menu The room was warm and homely and we had a good nights sleep in the exceptional comfy bed In the morning we were met by the lovely Becky for our breakfast which you choose what you you fancy and cooked to your desired taste Booking out and one again we were met with a pleasant and friendly member of Staff for our final transaction

We stayed at the Bull's Head for a weekend and would strongly recommend it to others! Breakfast was incredible - all home cooked and to order. Bacon was especially delicious 😋. Bec the host was incredibly friendly and welcoming and helped us out with places to see nearby. Room was everything we needed and came with a wide selection of teas and coffee - the staff were extremely quick to refill these and put anything right. WiFi was great. We also had a meal one evening (although weren't pressured to) and the food was excellent.
Nothing 😀

When I rang The Bull’s Head to ask if we could check- in early- they were very accommodating. When we did arrive- the staff were very friendly and professional. The Bull’s Head is an older attractive building in the middle of Swadlincote which has had to keep its charm downstairs as it’s listed, but going upstairs to the bedrooms- the owners have transformed each of their bedrooms into modern en- suite accommodation. Our room was light , airy with a luxurious feel. It was very clean and tidy in tones of white, mustard and grey. The curtains were thick, grey and fully lined with blackout linings. Should you need fresh air- every wind could be freely opened without any health or safety concerns. Our hospitality table had 6 x choices of tea, including breakfast, earl grey and herbal. 2x types of coffee- including decaffeinated ones, plus biscuits. Outside our door- there was a small communal fridge freezer where we were actively encouraged to take as many chilled water bottles/ fresh milk etc that we needed. Our room had both double ended bath and a shower plus all the towels we needed and a useful bathmat. Soap was provided as well. We also booked in for dinner- where we were treated to a great choice for starters, main and dessert. For the price we paid for one night £95- ( not including dinner) to have a warm welcome, with a well presented room and breakfast for two- with cooked and continental choices- the money we paid was phenomenal value for money. Should we come down to Derbyshire in the future- we will be booking in at the Bull’s Head again. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay exceptional.

Our room provided everything we needed..but didn't seem to have an hairdryer..lucky I brought my own. Also it was a small double bed..the mattress dipping slightly when used but still comfy. The manager was very polite and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. On the landing there were ironing facilities and a fridge with extra milk and free bottled water.Overall, we had a comfortable and enjoyable night's stay.
The bed could do with being bigger.

A nicely presented room in an old building. A fridge on the landing where you can help yourself to water and milk for the room. Breakfast in the bar with everything made fresh and brought to the table (no do it yourself toast etc.).
Stairs (in old building) uneven and no handrail. The pub doesn't open till 6pm so normal check in is then (although they did have someone to open the door as I asked to check in earlier). Pub closed again before 9.30pm so although they offered to pour us a drink on return we were expected to take it to our room.

Very clean. Excellent staff. Bed very comfy and shower good. Lovely evening meal . Loved hearing the owls in the trees outside
It was not their fault but the noise from passing traffic kept us awake most of the night. The property is on the corner of a very busy road. We would have liked a menu with breakfast options so we knew what was available. There was no cereals/ fruit juice/ yogurts etc laid out so didn't know what we could have. The offer was a cooked breakfast or cereals. Bit disappointed on the continental option.

Dave was an excellent host, friendly and welcoming.from the word go. Our room was clean and well presented, a mix of modern and in keeping with the building. . We had booked an evening meal which was excellent, staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble. Slept well and even though our room looked onto the car park and the pub is on a junction we didn't hear any noise outside. Breakfast was again excellent, , great quality produce and again Dave was an excellent host. We would 100% recommend the Bulls Head and will be returning next year. Thank you Dave , your kitchen team and all your lovely front of house staff.
Lovely welcome, Dave is a great host. Food was amazing and accommodation was clean, and well presented. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble

Lovely pub. Car park had no disabled parking designated which was the only shame. However it’s stepped access to so only certain disabilities could gain access unless they have a ramp ready to go.
Too many stairs to the bedroom which were steep and nothing stated. When I messaged asking for only one or two steps to accommodation nobody let us know it wasn’t very disability friendly. This is only because it’s an old building but fore warning would have been better.
