Booked for Bloodstock as one of the last rooms in the town and was pleasantly surprised at the high quality room, ample parking and lovely restaurant. Food was available all day and the indoor and outdoor seating area was lovely. A taxi to Catton Hall only cost £25 and took 13 minutes. The Riverside was a lovely stay and we will visit again.
There was a somewhat creepy vent with green lighting behind in the room which caused some hilarity in the middle of the night when you open your eyes and look up. Worth it for the quiet and high powered aircon which kept the room fresh!

We had a double 'Garden View' Room. Loved the decor, cleanliness and all the special touches - Chocolates, Flask for fresh milk. The Hotel had a very special ambience - interior very tasteful, strong and classy and I would imagine recently refurbished. Very reasonable tariff and a lot more 'special' than expected.
One tiny little grizzle - Garden View Room description - there was a lovely outside area but to 'view' it you had to stand up' move the net curtain. I assumed there would be a much lower window to glance through. Lot better though than a car park or a brick wall!

The property was lovely and clean, modern with all you could need (air con)etc You could take a little stainless steel holder to the bar for fresh milk if you wanted to make a hot drink in your room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location, by the river, is stunning and the associated walks were beautiful
One little grumble was the lack of a good cup of tea in the morning with the breakfast. The hot water was in an urn which is also used for make coffee so the tea had a coffee taste. Maybe have different cover tops so the hot water urn is only used for hot water. Also perhaps have a water cooler for drinks although water is available with lunch and dinner upon request.

We asked for an accessible room, as my husband uses a mobility scooter, and the hotel delivered above and beyond our expectations. The room layout was very convenient and the large bathroom space, equipped with a roll-in shower and plenty of grab bars, really set the standard for accessibility.
The housekeeping could have been better. Despite coming in to make the bed, etc., every day, the housekeeping staff never seemed to hoover properly or mop the floors (we could see the buildup of dust and dirt from day to day). The housekeeping staff also took away a couple of beer festival glasses that we had washed out and left in the bathroom to take home with us. Doubtless this was accidental, but this and the state of the floors speak to a certain inattentiveness to detail.

The room was very nicely decorated, there were a good selection of complimentary drinks available. A good sized tv and a nice bathroom with a great shower. The bed was comfortable and we were provided tow large pillows each. The room temperature was air conditioning controlled and could be adjusted up or down from 16C to 28C which was perfect. I was a little worried when i booked in, to see a wedding party taking place that evening, but to my surprise, there was no noise disturbance at all. The breakfast choice and quality were very good and reasonably priced for the choices available. The drinks were expensive with two double Southern Comfort and coke being £17.50 I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others.
Unfortunately for me, I am a very big man - at 6'5", my feet were hanging out of the end of the bed and the room layout meant it was difficult to get to the far side of the room past the bed and tv on the wall. The doors would be better hung the other way around as they need to be opened very wide to allow access into the rooms. As you enter the room, the bathroom wall is directly opposite the door. We had booked two rooms on the ground floor and entry with my mothers wheelchair was difficult for a single person to open the door wide enough and push the wheelchair at the same time.

Myself and my partner stayed in the Branston Suite and we couldnt get over how amazing our room was! The bed was clean and incredibly comfy with two little posh chocolates placed at the foot of the bed.The tea service carried everything - from coffee to hot chocolate. They provided a little milk cannister if you wanted to grab fresh milk from downstairs, which was nice if you didnt want to deal with the milk sachets! The bathroom was huge, with both a bath and a walk in shower. The bath was so big you could practically swim in and it was so relaxing to soak in.Room aside, the location of the property overlooks the river trent, which was beautiful view and was great for an after dinner walk.Bonus points for the evening meal and our breakfast, both of which where divine. We definetly recommend the mixed grill and duo of korean chicken! All in all a wonderful stay - we will definetly be back in the future!
The only thing we noticed was the ceiling in the bathroom needed abit of tlc.But that was our only issue and the pros far outweigh that.

Absolutely spotlessly clean room. Attention to detail shows. Excellent choice of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The bed is super comfy.. rainforest shower . Plenty of parking. electric charging points as well. Room has a meals and breakfast menus as well as a bar tariff. Great size tv I paid slightly more for a garden view, (but not worth it)
Extremely inconsiderate guests. And doors slam shut Very loudly. The corridor echoes too .. so the amount of doors banging all evening was really frustrating. Then at 6am a guest took his dog out .. yes slam went the bedroom door. As much as my window backed onto the beer garden.. which was a lovely view, if you put your head under the net curtain So you can't see it from inside the room when just sitting on the bed. So not worth the extra money .

We were really impressed with our stay, we booked the Branston suite, so the larger room with the bath, and it was so spacious and decorated to such a lovely standard, not what we had expected! Lots of lovely little touches in the room on arrival. The location of the hotel is alongside the river, so we were able to have a lovely walk the next day, and we could see this from our room. The bath was massive and a great addition for relaxing. The pub downstairs is lovely, again nicely decorated and the food was great, we had both dinner and breakfast.
Just a couple of things to note, it was quite cold in the room and took a while to heat up, the heating/air con system was pretty complicated and the radiator in the bathroom wasn’t working. With being above the bar, it wasn’t anywhere near as noisy as I would have expected however I could hear glasses clinking so if you’re a light sleeper I’d recommend ear plugs. Lastly, the breakfast wasn’t explained clearly to us, we were told to help ourselves and then our order was taken for a full English, we were then given a bill for 2 x continental breakfast (£6.99 each) for getting some cups of tea whilst waiting for our full English breakfasts. We sorted that out with staff at the end but it wasn’t clear when we arrived. very yummy food though!

lovely setting on the banks of the river Trent. plenty of parking outside the bedroom complex and additional parking for the restaurant. The restaurant was first class and was so hard to decide what I wanted for an evening meal. Very well priced and very good value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient without being over attentive. My room was on the ground floor and I expect it was for disabled guests, a large bedroom with plenty of space around the bed and a large wet room. The mattress was firm, the room was warm and I had a very restful sleep. In the morning the breakfast was again great value for money and the perfect set up for the day. I would stay here again.
I didn’t need to be in the disabled room so can’t talk about the general rooms.

The path along the river is literally outside the hotel. The breakfast was excellent, I reccommend the eggs royale and the buttermilk pancakes. The food for lunch and dinner was also excellent. Modern TV with freeview, also it has hdmi and usb connections. Room had a bath. Room had a/c. Friendly staff throughout. Comfy bed although quilt was meant for winter, not summer.
Upon arrival there was no signage to point towards the hotel reception. Bathroom tiles had black mold. When other room's doors in the hotel close, the whole room shakes loudly, not good when trying to sleep. The quilt was a winter quilt but it was a hot summer. The service in the restauraunt is slow even at quiet times, up to 45mins to wait for food.
