Great location, steps to the quiet beach, friendly helpful staff, beautiful refurbishment, very good breakfast. Room clean and quiet with lovely views.

I had a lot of luggage because of the folk festival. Although I knew the car park was small and I may have to park elsewhere, there was nowhere to pull my car in to unload/load it and no offer of help with the luggage, nor the offer of a trolley. I was disappointed with this poor service, when other aspects of service were excellent. I feel this issue has just been completely overlooked by the management. The obvious solution would be to make a drop off point for luggage in the car park.

Both reception staff were really friendly and couldnt do enough to help . My single room was really clean , had a partial sea view and was really comfortable. I slept really well . The view from the restaurant was fantastic with views towards both the town and out towards the isle of white and all the public areas were spacious and comfortable. A lovely too short stay , thank you

No vegan sausages available for a friend i was travelling with . We had to ask for extra beans , mushrooms and hash browns in replacement of sausages and eggs. It would have been nice if this was offered as an alternative

Locality very good. Breakfast plentiful Food excellent

The mattress on bed not comfortable. The fact that the lift non operationable and had been so quite awhile. Husband has heart problems walking up 3 flights of stairs unacceptable. Location of our superior room was on the top floor.

The reception, bar, pool and restaurant staff were, in the main, fantastic. Really welcoming, helpful and friendly. Great location close to the beach and with a wonderful conservatory area where you can look out to sea. Overnight was very quiet for the 3 nights we stayed. The breakfast was more than adequate in terms of cold and cooked food options and the quality and service was very good.

We had two rooms and both were quite dated and in need of an upgrade. Having said that, they were largely very clean and all facilities worked well (shower, tv, kettle etc). I was a bit disappointed that they don’t service the room for stays of 3 nights. We could top up tea/coffee by visiting reception but niceties like bin emptying and clean mugs were sadly missing.

The staff were amazing. So friendly and they all worked so hard. They are an absolute credit to the hotel! We ended up having dinner at the hotel as there weren't many restaurant options in town as it was still out of season and we really enjoyed it. The presentation and quality of the food was much better than we were expecting and we'd happily dine there again. Breakfast was also very good.

The hotel itself does need a bit of a face-lift in places, however they are busy doing exactly that and all rooms on the second floor are being refurbished so this will definitely improve.

Views are great, as expected, I could see Swanage from a Swanage seaside hotel. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was lovely, breakfast and evening meal. A well stocked bar and plenty of comfy seats. Although hotel was full, it was very quiet, day and night. Leisure centre was lovely, splash pool, jacuzzi, gym and sauna. Free to use for guests but local "members" also pay to use it. All very friendly and clean.

Not so much a "didn't like point" but just to be aware of, parking is limited, even the on-street parking. Need to arrive early to get a spot unless you are using your car daily, then it is just pot luck.

We were really well looked after as a large mixed age family by all the staff. They were all so polite, attentive and really kind. The views were absolutely stunning from the bedrooms, conservatory and garden. Having steps from the garden to the beach was fantastic and meant that we made full use of the beach. We were all able to park our cars in the car park, but also did not feel the need to use them as walking along the beach to town was an easy option, not that we wanted to leave the hotel. The evening meal was delicious.

It was really disappointing that the lift was still out of order in mid-October, having seen this on the website when we booked in August. My mother has reduced mobility and the stairs were a real challenge for her. It also meant she could not have the bedroom with the accessible shower which was on the second floor.

The lady on reception was lovely. It clearly is well looked after. The bar and dining area are lovely and the view over the bay is stunning. The garden is beautiful and there's a stairway down to the beach which was nice for a walk into town. My room was very clean (102) nice size for a single room, shower is decent. The view is a house opposite, but if you sit on the bed near the wall you get a fantastic bit view of the bay and beach. There is a mini gym sauna and plunge pool. Food and drink is reasonably priced. Would stay here again.

Lift was out of order on my stay, not bad for me as only in 1st flight of stairs but could have been trickier for someone that required it.

Our sea view room and en suite had been recently refurbished and the view was amazing.

Very limited parking but we were lucky to get the last space when we arrived and didn't use the car throughout our visit. Having a drink in the bar area would mean not being able to get a window table as they were not reservable. There were no headboards and no bottled water in the room but it was available from the bar. Rooms at this price would normally have that courtesy.
