The Green Man Boutique Hotel

This room was excellent value for money, very close to the airport for an early morning flight. No staff - all automated. Given a main door code and a room door code by email before travelling. Very pretty little room, clean, excellent shower room. Would recommend for a cheap, convenient place to stay before heading to the airport.

Had to use outdoor staircase directly from car park at rear of building, which was fine, but it was dark and although there was a light it wasn't working so had to be extremely careful, especially with a suitcase. Could be dangerous. Bed was a little saggy.

Very good value venue for overnight accommodation when collecting my Colleagues from Stansted Airport. Although I gathered it wasn't the responsibility of the Proprietor of the Indian Restaurant these rooms are above, I hadn't got the access codes I required through the Pre-Registration process, and ultimately he was more than happy to help. He benefitted from my Custom as well, so can also recommend the food and drink available here!

We really enjoyed our stay, albeit short, in a studio next to the hotel. The rooms are clean, cosy, comfortable and well equipped and we had everything we needed to rest after our journey. The hotel is situated in a quiet yet gorgeous rural landscape. The owner is a very kind and friendly person who saved us in the middle of a night upon our arrival in the UK by providing a private car transport from the airport where were facing a grim prospect of waiting for a commercial taxi for at least 2 hours. Can highly recommend this place.

Loved our room. Super cute little place. Easy to find and easy to access the rooms as you get a code sent to you which is great because you don’t have to faff about finding anyone Beds were super comfy Top marks for the boiling hot water too 🤣

Unfortunately our bath tub was forgotten with the cleaner so I had to clean it before using but other than that tiny hiccup it was fab

The hotel was extremely close to stanstead airport, which is why we booked. We really were not expecting the rooms to be so quaint. It was a basic room but with added touches to make it feel really nice, and not just a pre holiday room.

The quirkiness of this hotel and the trouble and value it put into making this people welcome and at home. I would totally recommend this hotel for people having to stay in Stansted as a stop over for an early morning flight the next day

A reasonable price for a good quality room

Outside could do with a tidy of rubbish and unfortunately a little noisy in corridor as other guests arrive but only 5 rooms so not unbearable

Location was great. Room was great for the price. Food was outstanding in the restaurant but staff need to pay more attention to guests.

Couple things ideally need addressing to make this faultless. Smell of rubbish under the stairs was a big concern upon arrival along with the boiler overflow constantly draining to the entrance for the rooms.

Lovely looking room, good food in a thai restaurant downstairs, clear self check in instructions and secure parking (free for a day of staying and £8/day for following days). There’s a bus to Stansted but it’s stop is 20mins walk from the hotel.

Could have been warmer in the room.

The room was nice, it was quiet sadly the Thai restaurant smelt amazing. ( Sadly as in I didnt have time to pop in)
