Location of the property was superb, views of the lake from every room. Breakfast freshly cooked to order not served "under lights", served in a large, airy dining room with original oil paintings on the wall. Dinner excellent, home cooked and delicious. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Dogs welcome in some areas. Disabled facilities were required, so our room was changed during booking process to facilitate this.

Room was slightly smaller than we would have liked - perhaps this was the only one available when we booked - I didn't realise there were larger rooms available, but know now, so will enquire next time.

The views are superb with the location in a valley by a lake. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, giving good information about the local area and attractions. Food spot on, pricing very reasonable, rooms comfortable with the lake view rooms only noisy if you leave your windows open as they are beside the road that runs parallel to the lake. A small price to pay. No aircon, but not required, it is Wales, UK after all. Parking to the front and rear of the property seems ample as the hotel was fully booked during our stay and even with our late arrival it still had spaces available.

The location is truly stunning. The hotel and restaurant is beautiful and charming and the staff very friendly. Lovely, fresh food and a good selection of drinks at the bar.

The reception for the hotel, waiting area for restaurant and line for the bar were all one in the same so checking in and out/arriving for dinner/ordering drinks could get busy. Also we were staying above the main building and there isn't any soundproofing so we could easily hear the restaurant music and noise downstairs from our room. All stopped around 10.45ish which is perfectly fine, but take earplugs if you want an early night!

Beautiful views of the lake and mountains. rooms very clean and the beds are comfy. Ryan that was working on the bar was very friendly and knowledgeable. There was a young man on reception when we arrived and then in the restaurant in the morning didn't get his name but was wearing round black glasses who was very friendly and helpful. The food is always very good but our lamb dish was very over seasoned this time, but always great food presented very well.

The weather wasn't on our side this time and the evening was quite chilly and we couldn't put any heating on in our room but found a blanket

The location was beautiful and the staff were cheerful and professional. Both breakfast and dinner menus were very good (loved the sausages at breakfast and the chicken supreme was absolutely delicious! The BEST.) Appreciated the variety on the menus. Room we had was comfortable and we enjoyed the patio and lake views very much. Liked the split lighting in the bathroom and enjoyed the toiletries. My partner has a prosthetic leg but was able to use the over bath shower as it had built in handles to help him get in (an issue with many hotels who like streamlined baths/showers, but of no use to older/disabled guests) All the staff had a smile and were courteous and helpful. The whole ambience of the hotel was relaxed; which is what you want when on holiday. Also enjoyed the fact that it's only 8 miles to the coast; and the opposite direction offers plenty to visit on a short break; the Corris craft village and the Osprey project which, because of the current chicks, was a fantastic experience!

Didn't sleep very well; the pillows were too soft for me (my partner brought his own) and we both thought the mattress was too soft; but that is such a personal point of view. Maybe give a choice of firm/medium/soft pillows? The tv reception was a bit complicated, but it was explained very well and appreciate that it's a problem with reception because of the location. The coffee wasn't hot enough at breakfast! (Now I'm really nit-picking)

Excellent location opposite a lake and with hills in the background. The hotel itself was clean and tidy with a really comfortable lounge to sit in and admire the scenery outside. It's big enough so that although it was fairly busy you never felt crowded by other guests. The two meals we ate were really good, well presented and tasty. The cooked breakfast was also very good. Our room was fine for us, comfortable bed, tea and coffee and a clean bathroom. The staff were friendly and efficient. All in all our stay in July was very enjoyable and we will be staying there again at some point.

Nothing I can think of.

Food - excellent. Breakfast and dinner. Only sad part was desserts being available one day that weren't available the next and hadn't been able to try them. Grounds overall - very nice. Clean, tidy, picturesque. One complaint is day-visitors taking all the parking spaces when they aren't paying to to stay there. Also very quiet location, even for being right on a highway. Staff - very, very friendly and willing to answer any and all queries. No issues with any staff at all.

While I appreciate we had a "cheap" room, the room itself was incredibly small and hard to move around. The shower is in the main room - not even the bathroom - and there was virtually no space to move around inside the toilet "area" (I'm not going to call it a bathroom). One other thing is that I would expect in the main hotel lobby area for there to be coffee facilities to be able to take a coffee to go - we had to leave at 7:30am one morning, breakfast hadn't started at that time, yes I could make coffee in the room but I couldn't of taken the cup with me. Some hot water, coffee/milk/sugar packets and to-go cups in the lobby would of been appreciated and it's minimal cost to the hotel

Breakfast - good to have a starter of fruit/cereal prior to the main course (good selection) Dinner - This was excellent although it would have been more appropriate to have confined our selves to just a starter and a sweet or to eat earlier in the evening.

Treating location as a separate issue we would have preferred a room overlooking the lake but this was not an option on this occasion due to prior bookings which we accept. With regard to our accommodation the beds were a little too high for a person of small stature.

Exceptional customer service. Shout out to Ryan too. Very friendly, attentive and considerate. We told the hotel we'd be arriving late, after the restaurant closes and Ryan told us they'd have food ready for us by the time we arrived which was 10pm. We also arrived slightly late for breakfast but we called to give our orders and they had it ready. Small touches like this are incredibly important, especially when making a trip to de-stress. We will be visiting again. Most likely annually. Absolutely gorgeous location. Even the drive to it was incredible. This is a must visit. Oh yes Great WiFi too.

I didn't get mobile phone reception. I'm with o2. But we were able to make calls over WhatsApp and there's a landline in the room.
