Sarah, the owner of the hotel, was extremely friendly and gave us lots of tips on the best places to visit. The place was very clean and had a big garden. The hotel was well situated. Wells is a 5 minute drive away. It is worth visiting the Cathedral and Bishop’s Palace Garden. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are also fairly close. The hotel was very quiet. There is a nice pub called the Pheasant Inn just down the road - about a 10 minute walk away. Breakfast was included in the price. A cooked breakfast was available if we wanted it. The food was well cooked.

We stayed three nights in Worth House rather than in Wells to explore this part of Somerset. This proved to be an excellent choice with Sarah providing us with a first class experience. On arrival she made us a pot of tea with biscuits to sit out and relax in the garden whilst she booked a table at one of the two nearby pubs for our evening meal. Comfortable beds and breakfasts were superb especially the smoked salmon. She was a delightful host and I have no hesitation to recommend a stay here.

Not being able to stay a fourth night!

Sarah was very welcoming and the house was on a secondary road in the countryside a few miles outside Wells. This meant that it was very quiet at night and the views from the room were lovely. The breakfast was excellent and used local produce. It was all very relaxed.

The room was warm when we arrived but unfortunately Sarah had been having trouble with the (large) boiler and it packed in overnight so it was chillier in the morning. But she had lit a fire in the breakfast room and told us the new boiler was on order and would soon arrive. There was nothing she could have done about it but she was very apologetic nonetheless.

A lovely place to stay and so big. Room was spotless and comfortable. We loved the idea they had of a lounge room for guests with back ground music and a stock of alcohol called the honest bar, you help yourself and write in the book what you've had and pay at end of break. Brilliant idea. All staff and host were fantastic and friendly. Breakfast was alot of choice, from continental to full English to eggs with salmon. Ideal for us as we had 3 dogs and they had a garden so dogs were happy. Local pubs close by. Highly recommend and we will definitely be staying again.

Location was quiet and rural with a large car park. Very well situated for Wells and the surrounding area. Breakfast was great. Owner was very helpful in suggesting places to eat for the evening. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable.

Absence of hooks on both the bathroom and bedroom doors. Cobwebs on the ceiling above one of the beds and around some of the pictures.

onsite parking. Next to a road but quiet. Good breakfast, good variety. Wi fi signal a bit erratic - common for the area.

Only because I had two dogs who couldn't manage the steepish stairs, I carried them both downstairs for a last 'comfort break' at 10pm and there were no lights on so a little disconcerting. There was probably a light switch somewhere but I couldn't see it because it was dark! (There was an emergency exit light at the top of the stairs)

I had the best time at Worth House! If you're brave enough to solo travel to and from the site of Glasto Fest every day, and don't mind a 20min drive each way- this is the place for you! Sarah was super welcoming and made me feel at home, the room was cosy and comfy and the grounds were so peaceful- the perfect way to unwind when returning from the festival and I will definitely book again in the near future.

The full English breakfast was excellent and there was a good choice of cereals. The accommodation is relaxing and comfortable, with many period features including original flagstone floors, and lots of places to sit and relax both indoors and out. The location is great for exploring North Somerset attractions such as Bath, Wells and Cheddar, and there is a good pub within walking distance. The en-suite bedroom was cosy, yet spacious, and is decorated in a lovely style, Sarah is an excellent host and was always available by email or text to answer any questions. She was particularly accommodating when we needed an early breakfast for our visit to Bath and she gave us good tips on local attractions and parking. The accommodation itself has plenty of off-road parking.

I only wish we could have stayed longer!

We really loved the way the room was decorated and it was spotlessly clean. The breakfast room was well presented and you could not fault the full English. Sarah the landlady is a lovely host and very thoughtful and caring. The location was excellent for what we wanted to do and see in the area. It was a short drive to cheddar where we had a great visit. We got a cab into Wells three evenings. We recommend the Thai and Greek Restaurants. Also had a good meal at the local Pub which was about a ten minute walk. Have recommended to friends.Everythi

There wasn't anything I didn't like but my mobility is not that good; Steep staircases (but very helpful staff re carrying luggage up and down). A non-slip bathmat in shower.
