Tony, the charismatic Owner of The Covenstead already has a devoted following and stellar Reviews that testify to the magical escape he offers Guests who enter that enchanted wonderland that is The Covenstead. There is simply nowhere like it on Earth and I count myself lucky to have spent time there. In this age of commonplace, corporate hotels, The Covenstead is absolutely unique. It is a treasure-trove of all things Pagan, Peculiar, Witchery and Wonderful on a prodigious scale. Every inch of space is crammed with Fascination. Every room - bedchambers, parlour and dining-salon - is captivating. In sheer contrast to the otherworldly, spellbinding ambiance of The Covenstead, Tony and his Staff are down to earth, warm and welcoming and full of vitality. One of the Pleasures of staying at The Covenstead is being part of The Covenstead Family. Tony and Staff have mastered the art of true hospitality; being friendly and engaging, yet remaining professional and courteous and attending smoothly to all the tasks that ensure a Guest has a wonderful and memorable stay. The breakfasts at Tony's are simply the best I have ever had. The delightful menu of juices, hot drinks, croissants and fruits followed by a perfectly cooked and stylishly presented scrumptious main course is enhanced by the pleasure of all Guests sitting round a long baronial dining-table so they can enjoying socialising. The Covenstead is the sort of place that draws together kindred spirits from across the globe and international travellers are frequent Guests here. It is true that Glastonbury is a place of pilgrimage with Old World and New Age attractions, but it is most often observed by Tony's Guests, that visiting Glastonbury and not staying at The Covenstead would be a somewhat hollow experience. It was a pleasure on this trip, to see Tony, Donna and Beth again and also to meet Emma, the newest recruit who was a joyful, perfect fit with the divinely decadent ethos of The Covenstead.

Emma gave us a very warm welcome, so relaxed and friendly. The place is so well decorated with so many interesting things to look at. We were also allowed to use the dining room in the evening to eat our takeaway. Met 2 other lovely couples and we all had a great evening, chatting with other people who love Glastonbury. My friend and I had a huge room with 2 double beds, so comfortable. Perfect bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast was exceptional, so good I could have eaten it again đ. Met Tony the owner and he was very friendly too. The morning waitress was lovely too. Such a wonderful and memorable stay, can't wait to stay again đ, thank you so much

we loved this place so much so I will be booking again - staff super friendly and the house and it's contents are another level full of historical things . amazing pictures books and all sorts of treasure that we were warmly invited to use . I loved the idea that it's full of a person collection of occultism and the new owners have treated them respectfully. you definitely don't have to be into occultism to love and enjoy the treasures and the vibe of the house is so warm and welcoming X ps pics don't do it justice
everything - beds very comfy very clean and the bedding smelt amazing I've stayed in Glastonburyany many times and this is definitely the best one . and the breakfast was delicious.

This was the first time to stay at the Covenstead and it didnât disappoint. It was a very unique place where there was communal areas where you could pick a book (they had plenty) and you could take it either to sit in the sort of living room or take it to read in your room though there was a kitchen and sitting room right upstairs, which is where I was staying to have a cuppa which was handy. The breakfast area was one huge table and everyone sat next to each other so very community minded but it worked. I had a full breakfast that morning and it was cooked just right? I canât remember the lady and gentleman running it over the two days I was staying but they were very friendly and any problems they would help though I had none. Loved the view also over the ruins of the abbey, so a very big thumbs up. The covenstead was very conveniently situated near all conveniences of the high street and the abbey entrance and it wasnât a very far walk from there to walk to the Tor and chalice well gardens. I hope next time I visit Glastonbury I can stay at the covenstead for longer.
Though the building was situated conveniently near the high street where all the shops are, they do not have private parking. There was parking outside the place but for only I think it was 30 mins but you could leave your car there all night then move it the next day. I had to park in the main car park which you had to pay for parking during the day but was free in the evening. I believe there are some free parking on some of the streets just up from the covenstead.

Just WOW! This was not just a stay but an experience. We were made so welcome from the outset. So much to look at in this wonderfully themed hotel, absolutely spotless and comfortable. Our room had a gorgeous view of the Abbey, the bed was so comfortable, our bathroom beautiful and the kitchen and sitting room on the same floor was just perfect for our early morning cuppa and an evening drink. The breakfast was delicious, wonderful choice and freshly cooked. Lovely vegan options for me. This place is the best in Glastonbury and I visit every year. Thankyou to our wonderful hosts who really go out of their way to ensure a truly magical experience â¨đŤ

Absolutely loved our stay at The Covenstead. All the staff were super friendly, chatting about our stay, offering recommendations for our trip and so welcoming. The Covenstead is such a beautiful place to stay. The decorations are amazing & it was exactly the experience we were looking for whilst in Glastonbury. Our room was comfortable & the bathroom a great size with a bath & a seperate shower unit. The WiFi was brilliant. Everywhere was super clean. Nice to have a room downstairs to relax together in the evening and a kitchen area available to make hot drinks with another lounge area next door. Also a garden area to relax in too. So much thought has gone into this place to make the guests experience as nice as possible. The best bit was the breakfast - so many options to choose from & able to cater for Veggie & Gluten Free absolutely fine. Really nice and relaxed talking to the other guests over breakfast or you can read one of the many books available on the bookshelves or do some Tarot cards. I will definitely be returning here again. The best place I have ever stayed. Thank you to the team at The Covenstead for making it such a beautiful experience for guests.

The owner is one of the most amicable and hospital individuals you will ever meet. Due to heavy traffic, I arrived there very late with my two young daughters, he went out of his way to meet me at the establishment and still took time to show me around this incredible place and also entertained the girls with stories who were a little dazed and tired by the journey. Our room was lovely - two good-sized double beds and a nice-sized bathroom. As we were at the back of the house it was quiet and could hear no traffic noise. Breakfast was incredible and one of the staff members even kindly gave us a free family pass ticket for the Abbey. The location couldn't be better - the center of the village. When it was time to leave my daughters didn't want to go. One day we will return.
Nothing - all was excellent.

Everything about my stay was ideal! The owner was there to meet me when I arrived and gave a great short history of the space. Itâs very eclectic and thatâs why I choose it! Itâs right off the bus route and across from the Abbey. Itâs quiet and super peaceful. The breakfast made to order in the morning was spectacular! The staff was hands on in the morning, engaging and super helpless and informative! I canât wait to stay again when I have more time to explore Glastonbury. The house is like a Museum to explore!

We were greeted by Freya and introduced to The Covenstead house which felt warm and welcoming throughout. We stayed in the Herne room two floors up which gave us an amazing view of the Abbey grounds across the road with St Michaels on The Tor rising behind. Yuriâs mural accompanying you up the stairs is amazing. There were many interesting books in the common areas and the dining room shelves had more tarot decks than I could count! The WiFi worked well. All areas were clean and well maintained. There was an extensive breakfast menu for all tastes (and there was plenty of it). Thank you to the hosts (including Athos) for a memorable stay.

The decor and furnishings are certainly ubusual but we rather liked them. The situation in the centre of Glastonbury is excellent and at the time of our visit parking was no problem at all. The breakfast was excellent with everything cooked perfectly. There is a useful communal area with various useful facilities. However the main compliment is reserved for the staff who were absolutely brilliant, so friendly and helpful, especially when I had a minor emergency.
The bedroom pillows could be a little softer but that's a very minor criticism.
