Everything, from the warm greeting on arrival to the excellent room and fantastic breakfast. Knocked spots off the 5 star hotel I stayed at in early March at a faction of the price. Please note, The Moorhead is in a very rural location. If you must have a town or city around you then don't book but if you value peace and tranquility with nothing but bird song this is the place for you. If you need to stay connected then there is excellent Wi-Fi and TV in your room. The beautiful, wide ranging, breakfast includes freshly laid eggs on the premises and the most tasty, to die for, sausages. Very, very highly recommended.

Nothing - Ideal get away location but you must like the countryside.

The security when entering and leaving the facility, given its location is impressive. Rebecca welcomed us at the entrance to the building with a warm smile, it felt like we’d known each other for ages! She’s pleasant and the services rendered was top-notch. The breakfast was AMAZING. We ate filled to the brim and there was food in excess, it felt like a feast! She made all we asked for and some more. The room with bathroom en-suite was clean and everything in it including the bathroom was as advertised, the mattress was particularly comfortable. There’s an area of the room with couch facing the fields and a centre table for relaxing before going to bed. We came with our 3-month-old daughter and it wasn’t a regrettable experience. We will def be returning to the Moorhead B&B if we’re ever in the area again.

This B&B is simply beautiful. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and had everything we needed and more. The breakfast was delicious and there was such a great range on offer- I am vegetarian and Rebecca had veggie sausages in ready for me. Rebecca is an incredible hostess. I was sadly taken ill during our stay- Rebecca checked on me regularly via message, delivered breakfast in bed and offered anything else I may have needed. She is just so kind. We can’t wait to stay again soon!

There is nothing to dislike about the Moorhead!

An absolute gem of a place, situated deep in the beautiful Shropshire countryside with no sound of traffic. The room was immaculate, we received a wonderful personal welcome and the quality of the breakfast was exceptional. We went a lovely walk through the landscape directly out of the front door and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the place. Idyllic.

There's not really anything I can fault with the place - Becky was a wonderful host and I can't think of anything.

Rebecca was a genuinly lovely host. Super clean room. Loved the front lawn where I soaked in the sun in the lush grass. The biggest bay windows I've ever seen. And dead quiet at night except for the owl. They have some ponies in the paddock you can say hello to. The breakfast was phenomenal. Fresh blueberries, strawberries, bananas. Vegetarian ful english breakfast, milk in lovely glass containers. They do have a friendly cat but I don't think it goes in the B&B itself (for those allergic). There is a traintrack a few hundred meters to the east, with sporadic trains coming by, it added to the atmosphere rather than detracted. Would stay again 100%

Very welcoming host. Spotless, well furnished room with a huge shower and wonderful bay window outlook with a couple of chairs where you could unwind with a good cup of tea after a long journey. Had a super peaceful and comfortable night’s sleep and an excellent hearty breakfast that catered for both gluten and lactose free options. Thank you Rebecca.

All was good

The Moorhead is situated in its own grounds in beautiful countryside. Rebecca, the landlady, was bright and helpful throughout my stay. Her breakfasts and packed lunches were enjoyable and healthy.

Great room. Lovely decoration, spacious and very clean. Bed was comfortable, quilt cosy and thick and the Shower was piping HOT ! Really good breakfast and a lovely host. Excellent place !

I like a warm room and it was a bit chilly when the Radiator went off. Used the provided blanket and got into bed !

I particularly liked the lovely variety of fresh fruit for breakfast. We stayed to do the UK Triathlon Ultimate at Alderford Lake- 2.4 mile swim, 112 miles bike and a marathon at the end, so the peaceful property and the attentive host, Rebecca, suited us perfectly. We were able to order sandwiches in the evening, which meant we could get an early night. The property is in acres of farmland, and was gated, so we felt very secure leaving our bikes in the car on the last night.

The property is clean and exceptionally well appointed with everything I needed for my short stay. Fab breakfast too. Rebecca was a great host happy to answer a specific question I had before my stay to ensure I could even charge my car!
