Lovely rural location. The shepherd's hut was adorable, set in a field, but with its own dedicated garden area with a table and bench. The shepherd's hut is private and absolutely lovely, just perfect for a couple! Clean and well equipped too. There is a great shower, and bathroom facilities, fridge, microwave, kettle and cutlery and crockery, and drink making items. A TV and little table and X2 chairs, but we ate outside as we had glorious weather. The bed is sumptuous, lovely and comfortable. We took our two dogs with us, and it was the perfect size for us all to stay in. The owner was lovely and we met Digger the family dog who is just adorable! The field does have some elderly sheep in, but our two puppers quickly adapted to them wandering around so it worked out perfectly! Wonderful stay and we will be back again! Good location too, we went to Chirk castle, into Whitchurch for fabulous fish and chips at Gardiners chippy and into Wrexham for a lovely meal at the fat boar!

Nothing, it was great!

After a busy few days with varying accommodation quality in earlier stays, it was an utter pleasure to find myself at Mulsford Cottage with the lovely and kind owner who made me so welcome. The property is surrounded by pretty countryside and my room which had a double and single bed in it, had windows on three aspects. It is a historic house and the rooms are decorated prettily and appropriate to the premises. I was given use of a lovely bathroom with Victorian bath, which sadly, I didn't take advantage of the bath due to a slight illness. I had use of a large lounge and was cossetted with a log fire and arranged supper provided by the host at additional cost. My bed was extremely comfortable, beautiful linens and lovely towels and fresh milk provided for the hot drink facilities in the room. There is a llttle dog in the house, and I am not normally a dog person, but he is a sweet little thing and very friendly. I would absolutely recommend the property and hope to stay here again.

There is nothing about the property or it's surroundings that I did not like.

The owners were warm and welcoming and despite the fact we arrived rather late, we were greeted with tea/coffee and cake. The room was spacious and clean and the cooked breakfast the following morning was superb. I can honestly say our stay was perfect as it didn't feel as if we were staying in a B&B but with family. It really is a little gem and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone planning a stay in the area.

A very minor point, our room had a lovely roll top bath in the ensuite but no shower, although we could have used a shared shower on the upstairs landing, it would have been ideal if there had been one in the ensuite, but this is just my own personal preference.

Idyllically situated in the Cheshire countryside. The property was immaculate with beautifully presented rooms and an attentive host who could not do enough to make our stay memorable and a place we would want to return to. For those who want a peaceful few days away to wind down in quiet surroundings with everything in place that you would want. This is the place.

That we were only able to spend a couple of nights!

Beautiful hut, stunning quiet location, everything we needed for a relaxing break. Lovely host, on hand if we needed anything but allowed us to have our privacy. Safe secure garden for our dogs to run in.Loved the resident sheep and dog .

Very hot in this recent weather, did not cool inside until late in the night, even with everything open. Could do with a external shaded area to sit under as sun field all day.

The location was rather remote, but very beautiful, setting in a lovely garden. The host was very kind and friendly, and managed to put together a lovely evening meal for us at short notice. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

We didn't always have cups or milk provided in the room, which could also have done with a couple of comfortable chairs.

The breakfast was excellent. House and gardens were lovely with superb views all round. The host was particularly nice and hospitable. Being able to bring our old dog was a real boon as he doesn't like kennels. Though I can see other more frisky dogs might have an issue with the resident two who are very friendly but it took a little while to settle in.

Our only grip was the shower room. It is very small, only one person at a time can use it. The other room had an enormous bathroom which looked fabulous.

It was well located and there was a fenced off area so that our dog could be outside and we didn't have to keep her on her lead or watch her all the time. Lovely views from the front of the shed. Felt private although it was very close to the owners house.

Generally the premises were clean apart from the shower room which was a little grubby and there were toothpaste marks on the bathroom shelf and a wet towel!

We did not have breakfast, so cannot comment on that. Large comfortable room with windows on three sides, quiet, peaceful. Lovely location, not very far from Malpas which is an interesting friendly village. The hostess was very kind and considerate.

Access was along a very narrow lane. The room had a private shower-room right next door, but not actually en-suite. Latches on the doors made them noisy especially during the night.

We stayed along with another couple of friends whilst attending a local wedding. Lovely property and host, Kate who was accommodating, welcoming and hospitable. Very nice rooms and comfy beds. Cosy, beamed lounge and bright breakfast conservatory and good breakfast too. Friendly dogs. Delightful location and outlook across fields.

Can’t think of anything!
