The location was stunning. Beautiful scenery, perfect escape from city life. The hot tub was wonderful. Watching the sheep and bunny rabbits was a highlight. The kitchen and bathroom area was clean and tidy. And the main hut had everything you could want. The welcome package left by the owner was a lovely surprise with some eggs and some milk and a small bottle of wine and cider. The surrounding area was so picturesque and close to Whitby and robin hoods bay for a walk around the quirky shops and amazing fish and chips.

The only negative for my stay was the weather. But the rain beating off the hut just added to the cozyness of the hut. So the negative was a positive.

Loved the attention to detail and how much effort has been put in to make your stay pleasant. The host went to a lot of trouble to make sure we had everything we needed... even an excellent bottle of fizz! The log burner in the hut was fabulous we were well stocked with logs and firelighters, this is unusual as other places tend to leave you just a few, and it was really appreciated. The hot tub was fantastic, we lived all the gentle lighting and the views and tranquility was perfect. We felt we were the only people in the world! We really can't praise the hosts enough for the effort they went to. They were so kind and attentive. Best place I've stayed at by a royal mile.

Went for peace and quiet,and you get that in abundance here,very quiet and peaceful,the hosts were lovely,nothing was to much trouble for them,and the family food van on site(Vagabond comfort foods)delivers right to your door,and the foods very good.so if you need somewhere to unwind,I'd highly recommend this place.

The hosts were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The hut had everything we could have needed, the kitchen was fully equipped including an air fryer, toaster, microwave. The location was unbelievable, looking out over open fields, the only sounds being the local sheep and wildlife.

Such a lovely little hut with an amazing view!! the hosts had thought of everything from having a torch to use to having mayo and ketchup to use in the kitchen!!! There was also a blanket left for the dogs to use which was just really thoughtful!! Just wished it was warmer so we could have sat outside more and thats why we have booked to go back in July!!!

Nothing!!! we did end up going in the middle of a storm and the host was really helpful and easy to contact!! Nothing was ever too much trouble!! For people going with older dogs we used our own ramp as the steps were tricky for my old 12 year old german shepherd to use as she fell through them as there is not back to them but was no issue, we just set the ramp up

Location was amazing, stunning views, hostess was great and provided anything we might have needed. Will definitely be returning very soon. Was a great place to stay. Super comfy and cosy <3

Nothing at all, everything was perfect

The owner had gone above and beyond before our arrival, from milk, juice and even a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge to cereals, jam/marmalade, sauces, tea, coffee, sugar etc plus half a dozen eggs when we arrived. For the wood burner there was ample kindling, logs, firelighters and matches plus the promise of more if we needed them (which we didn’t). Basically we liked everything about the place !!

Having to leave after 2 nights 😢

We loved the one night in this beautiful shepherd hut so much. Everything in there is made with so much love, so many lovely details! It was a cold night but there is a little chimney which can be feed with briquettes and the bed was so cozy and warm. In the second hut there is the bathroom and the kitchen, fully equiped with a nice breakfast maker and an air fryer instead of an oven. The host provided food for an english breakfast (15£ for 2 persons) which can be prepared by your own in the kitchen. The communication was always friendly, helpful and easy! The host is super nice and kind. We enjoyed the stay so much. Highly recommended! Thank you. We'll come again! P.S there is also a barbecue in front of the hut 8-)

This is my second visit and I love the hut. it’s so cute, perfectly equipped with everything you could need, set in beautiful landscape and so quiet and peaceful. it’s a short drive to Whitby for a day out. Alex the host is so lovely and really looks after you.

The location was superb with views across the valley towards leaholme...very quiet with only a few cows and sheep for company. The huts were clean and everything worked fine. Alex said call her if we needed anything, but all was good so we didnt have too. Good place if you need peace and quiet.
