We were very well looked after by the owners while we stayed. We liked the continental breakfast delivered each morning with lovely fresh produce. The view from the window is superb and we were lucky to have sunny, warm weather while we were there. The bed was comfortable. We think it is a super king in Guest Room 1 which we had. The pillows are a bit flat compared to what we use at home but we slept well nonetheless.

There is nothing we'd complain about and the owners very kindly gave us lots of useful local information. The property is a B&B and the owners are charming, responsive and experienced.

Superb huge delicious and nutritious continental breakfast delivered in a basket outside your bedroom door, so you can wake up naturally if you like and eat it at whatever time suits you Cereal, muesli, melon strawberries blueberries, bananas croissants bagels, various types of bread to toast, honey, jam, nutella marmalade etc. Ready in the fridge on arrival was fresh orange juice, water and a large tub of natural youghurt. A cafetiere was provided, and a selection of T bags including the all important Yorkshire tea You choose to eat what you prefer and leave the rest, or even make yourself a little packed lunch We told Coleen we were vegan and veggie on here before we arrived and she did us a healthy version of the breakfast, with soya milk too Alderbaran is immaculately clean and extremely well maintained to a very high standard. The modern hot shower was lovely Our king-size bed had a full depth memory foam mattress and was super comfy Craig and Collen have a huge beautiful garden that you can wander around at will, and you can choose to eat there if you like too We found it perfect for stargazing with very low light pollution There is a country pub a 12 minute walk away that serves food till 7 30 pm Highly recommend, we'll be returning soon Mike and Diane

The room had everything we needed, was well fitted out and comfortable. The breakfast basket each day was excellent and varied plus there was a supply of milk, juice and yoghurt in the fridge in our room. The location of the property is ideal for trips into Whitby or for exploring the moors. The owner of the property was more than willing to share her knowledge of walks and local things to see and do. A very pleasant stay.

English weather.

The room was amazingly clean, bright and well equipped with a mini fridge, tea, coffee and kettle. A picnic basket of goodies was out outside our door every morning and had so many yummy things in it. Fresh fruit, crumpets, bread, croissants, cereal, jam, Nutella and chocolate biscuits. Plus there was fresh milk, butter, cheese and yoghurts in the fridge. The bed was so comfortable and I had such a good night's sleep. It was en suite and the shower was also amazing. They provided toiletries too which was a nice touch. We didn't arrive until late and they were very accommodating l, Colleen, the lady of the house even recommended us a takeaway to get food delivered from. The back garden was absolutely amazing and peaceful. We sat on a bench drinking a glass of wine and just soaked the peacefulness up. Honestly was the nicest b and b I've ever stayed in and it was only a 10 minute drive to Whitby. We drove our own car in but you could easily get a taxi.

Excellent continental breakfast that was left outside room door. Lovely view from the bedroom overlooking the beautiful garden and Esk Valley. Comfortable king-size bed. Lights and power sockets by the bed. Fridge in room stocked with bottled water and a few other items. Easy short drive into Whitby. Parking outside property.

Although the bathroom is private and next door to the bedroom it isn't en-suite.

What a lovely stay! Thank you Colleen. Clean, quiet, beautiful location/house/garden. We felt very welcomed. House is located at the top of stunning Carr Hill Lane in village of Sleights. Views are Mega. Bus stop near by (used it once during our 2 day stay, no problem). Whitby is only 3 miles away & we have walked through fields using footpath as well (can be a pit tricky for some but we had good fun. "The Bridge Inn" in village called Ruswarp was only 1 walking mile away from Whitby so it was lovely to rest our feet for a bit & enjoy nice pint).

Long weekend away in Whitby for my wife's birthday. Choose Aldebaran B&B for the location, price and views to which it didn't disappoint. Coleen was a fabulous host!!! The passion is clear to see, the small details throughout were a gem, super clean and tidy, also very welcoming - really felt like home. Will be back again for sure, thank you both. David & Becky

What an absolute gem 💎 this is a stunning place to stay, beautiful, spotlessly clean B&B. The hosts, the bedroom/bathroom, down to the stunning views whilst eating your breakfast in your room. This was provided in a well stocked breakfast basket left outside your door in the morning. Everything about this place was 10 out of 10. Too much to comment on, you need to visit to see for yourself 😊

The host was amazing, we had EVERYTHING we needed, comfy bed great bathroom, and breakfast came in a basket each morning and could have fed 4!! All the options under the sun. Incredible. We were there for a wedding and we even borrowed some scissors to help put the ribbon on my car!

Nothing, it was perfect! Maybe the parking is a little tough but manageable

Everything was perfect, from beginning to end. The cleanliness of the room was second to none, the water pressure of the shower was outstanding. The bed was super comfortable and the view onto the garden was just stunning. Breakfast was delicious and more than enough to satiate the appetite of two adults.

Keep doing what you're doing, everything was fantastic!
