Staff members were helpful, polite and friendly. The accommodation was an experience. Had to walk through a herb garden to the quarters. Really nice. The location was great; peaceful with bird song. Well proportioned with everything you could need. The bar/dining area was interesting. Pictures, a large fireplace; what caught my eye was the cabinet with woven reincarnation of food stuffs long since made redundant. I though they were real at first. The different types of outdoor seating was amazing. I aim to try the rooms as they were all unique, quirky. Just what I like. All in all it was a pleasant environment with all age groups catered for. I will be visiting again.

Lovely room clean and well decorated, Super comfy bed and good size bath. hotel staff very polite and helpful Also lovely complimentary strawberries and cream in the room.

Booking.com has the rooms listed as pet friendly with additional charge however on The way there was told the room we booked was not pet friendly and the only option is to upgrade room by addtitional cost (£85 later+£15 pet charge ) or cancel the booking and lose your money (£214.50) as it is non refundable.. So check with hotel before you book due to the listings being incorrect

An amazing, quirky boutique hotel which surprised and delighted at every turn. Our room was comfortable, unusually furnished and quiet. The food in the 'pub' was anything but 'pub food' - it was full of flavour, delicious, with generous portions.. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would score this hotel 10 out of 10, and would happily return. Thanks guys.

I cannot think of a single improvement. The price was a little high (just over £400); just under £400 would have felt more comfortable, but, hey, we had a great time!!

Staff and food excellent.Accommodation comfortable.

Accommodation a little expensive for what was still a pub with rooms.Too many unnecessary ancillary items e.g slipper and dressing gowns,Roberts radio, unnecessary for this type of accommodation.

Dinner and breakfast were sort of pub food, but better than a normal pub. Breakfast granola v. good indeed. Room and bed very comfortable.

Door closers required on bedroom doors, as some people just allow their doors to slam. More a pointer - this is a public house, and rooms above the public areas can be noisy until after closing time. There are other rooms that would be mor acceptable to light sleepers.

Lovely spot in countryside and nicely decorated and comfortable. Great pub.

I thought the room was a bit disappointing for the price, as in it was pretty tiny. The linens and bed were good quality though.

lovely, we’ll thought through rooms. the private garden area to the front of some rooms was a real bonus in the morning to enjoy a coffee in as the sun rose. The restaurant had a great gastro pub menu, everything we had was great-particularly the service!

The rooms are located in a very beautiful building, which is decorated in a very welcoming and cosy way. The staff was overall friendly, and the food delicious. I found the location very convenient to explore some of the surrounding towns.

The only issue I had was a very poor mobile connection but calls from the landlines are fee.
