The location was just perfect for our visit to Blenheim Palace. Just walk down the road and turn left to the rear entrance gates of Blenheim. The room was clean and comfortable and lots of character for a 17th Century Building. Car parking is out the front of the building roadside, but they can provide 24 Hour parking ticket at GBP10 which is a tourist long term rate. The cooked breakfast was really good and the staff were friendly. The town is very pretty and good selections of pubs for dinner. I would stay again at this establishment.

The only thing that we did not like was we arrived after 5.05 pm after the shop was shut and the staff were obviously tired after a long day and quiet grumpy so we waited until other guests let us in and found some one to help us. It did not spoil our stay.

Been to The Blenheim Buttery several times and it has never disappointed. Our recent stay was no exception . The Staff were very welcoming and friendly as always.

We usually stay in a Superior King room ( Number 4 ) This time we were in room 5 and although we preferred this room we were a bit disappointed in the bed. Think the mattress needs an upgrade as it really dipped in the middle and was rather uncomfortable !!!! Not really a problem but just a suggestion for future reference for guest comfort. We look forward to our next stay at The Buttery. Thank you .

Lovely quirky place in a great location for Blenheim Palace for the lionel richie concert. The room was so cosy and romantic with lovely old beams . The breakfast was also excellent. . Would be good to have a fruit option though.

As im a housekeeper in a hotel I stripped the bed ready. I was a little disappointed by the state of the pillow protectors which were stained and the one on the bed had seen better days. The mattress too had a big stain on it.. The bottom of the door on the shower was pretty awful and needs a good clean. Maybe invest in some new protectors. I would stay here again most definitely. Just a few things that need improving. We stayed in room 5..

A quiet place to rest and recover before another day at work. Guaranteed good night sleep and a good breakfast to set you up the next day. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and the price is decent.

The parking is on the street and you cannot always find a place to park nearby. If you come at around 4 you can park right infront of the building, if you arrive aroun 8-10pm you might have to drive around a while before you can find somewhere to park If you arrive when the cafe is closed there is an out of hours entrance with a phone number you can call, sometimes it take them a little while to answer.

Yvonne was so friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights and the fabulous breakfast was such a treat! The location is perfect to explore Woodstock, Blenheim and surrounding areas. If you need a taxi, ask Yvonne because her contact is so much better than one of the local bigger taxi firms. We had a lovely stay, so glad we chose the Blenheim Buttery, thank you!

Parking is an issue in all of Woodstock as the car park by the fire station is 12 hours only and parking on the high street is between 1-3 hours only. Maybe there is 24hrs somewhere but we didn’t have time to find it.

Great location, lots of pubs etc nearby. Very easy to get to Oxford either by car or using local buses. Excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Visitor parking permits are extra (£10 per 24 hours) and can be purchased at the accommodation. This took the stress out of parking in a small place like Woodstock as they can be used anywhere in the village centre.

It was quite warm when we stayed and it could be difficult to get enough air into the room. However the staff provided a fan.

Very quiet and easy to leave and re-enter (unless the door sticks!)

One breakfast served with very overcooked poached eggs, These should never have been sent out, but they were replaced very quickly. The waste to the bathroom sink had no grating or plug mechanism fitted and there was a cap from a toothpaste tube or aerosol can floating in the waste pipe, which could have caused a blockage. This was reported but not attended to during our stay.

location was perfect in the market square, 5 minute stroll to the Woodstock entrance to Blenheim Palace grounds, quaintly attractive hotel, restaurant and coffee shop with modern amenities. Check the website as the Buttery has complimentary offers and discounts with local restaurant. Comfortable nights sleep, breakfast choices to suit all appetites. Staff where very helpful and available for any queries, local information.

minor detail our shower cubicle was looking tired, no complaints on cleanliness.

fantastic location, very close to Blenheim palace and located right next to town hall. so absolutely central to the town. Nice cozy period property and restaurant underneath. Staff was very pleasant and the lady who managed the booking, admin and even restaurant I guess was simply amazing. breakfast was exceptional.

Rooms weren’t properly soundproofed. so could hear squeaking sound when someone passes in the lobby or even someone walks in the room above

it was centrally located, only a few minutes walk to Blenheim Palace. it was also on the main high street. I stayed in the twin room, beds were comfortable and bathroom a good size. Full English breakfast was very good.

As this is an old building there is no air conditioning so some travellers may find the rooms get very warm, particularly in summer. There was a fan in the room. I had no issues with this but others might. Also, while the English breakfast was very nice the breakfast menu was limited. As a celiac some fruit e.g bananas or apples etc would have been nice. Thats just me being a bit picky I guess.. The rest of my family had no issues with breakfast and thought it was very nice and very filling!
