The breakfast was great! Wide variety of options. Good quality items. No limit on choices. The room was a lovely style. The bed was a bit firm for me but still had a nice quiet nights sleep. It was a nice touch for them to write me a happy birthday message in a card with some brownies. It was greatly appreciated thank you! The staff were really friendly and there was always someone on hand if needed. The bar area was nice to relax in and had a great choice of bar snacks/food/drinks.

There was a festival on which made it difficult to park on the weekend we stayed. If the visitors to the festival weren't using the hotel it would have been a better idea for them to be allocated an area for parking, so other hotel guests didn't have to struggle to park or park on the grass.

After our last stay with a 'louder' set of friends, I expected to have a bit of a frosty reception, but it was completely the opposite. The staff obviously remembered our last visit and commented about it, but we're very chirpy and tongue in cheek about it. This made me relax abit quicker. I can honestly say the staff really are genuinely friendly & provide a very warm service. The room was spotless as always, and the bed is extremely comfortable. The breakfast was as good as always, even had scrambled egg. It was lovely to be greeted by a very bubbly member of staff first thing in the morning. We will be visiting again.

Superb - professional and natural welcome at check-in / check-out and by all of the staff we encountered. Lovely high quality setting and atmosphere. Our room was fantastic with personal touches. Food and beverage was excellent in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast was equally excellent with a wide choice of items - car parking very easy and plentiful.

Rather a lot of email communication beforehand asking about additional items, check-in digitally etc.

Beautiful almost secluded place. Staff greeting were fab. Room was beautiful and spacious with a lovely view. Pillows are lovely and comfy. Nice thick curtains blocking the light when closed. Lovely style bathroom.

The only issue I had was the loo roll holder was loose in the bathroom (just needed re-fitting, really easy) and that there was a small amount mold on the silicone around the shower screen in a corner. Silicone either needs replacing or just some mold buster spray on it, easy job.

Sandburn Hall is a beautiful Hotel in beautiful surroundings. There is plenty of free parking. The rooms are clean and stylish. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is buffet style but plentiful, there is something for everyone. This is our second trip to this Hotel and we will most certainly be back.

There was nothing about this trip we could fault. As this is the first time we have visited in the summer months we were able to have a walk around the grounds which are stunning. It really is perfect inside and out.

A beautiful location and so so comfy, rooms are decorated beautifully and the view outside is stunning too, perfectly clean and wonderful staff. An amazing wedding venue too and delicious food!

Our only gripe (and a few others too) this is a wedding venue, you see how much they charge for one night stay, but to check in just 2 hours earlier is another £40, I feel like they could try to accommodate this more, a 2 hour drive followed by getting changed in a locker room and having to leave the event to check in later on are all less than ideal experiences.

Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, this hotel emerges as a serene sanctuary, marked by a blend of comfort, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches that cater to both leisure and business travelers. The beds provide an unparalleled level of comfort, ensuring a restful sleep. The cleaning staff deserves commendation for maintaining impeccable cleanliness throughout, with spacious rooms that feel like a breath of fresh air. A unique charm is added by the hand-made wooden ducks adorning each room, which guests can also purchase as a keepsake from the reception. The hotel's lobby extends a warm welcome with its cozy chairs and a fireplace, setting a tranquil scene that overlooks breathtaking natural vistas. This view promises an idyllic retreat during the warm summer days. With the added conveniences of large, complimentary parking and high-speed WiFi, the hotel meets the practical needs of guests, especially those traveling for business, without sacrificing the essence of a peaceful getaway. In summary, this hotel stands as a potential paradise for those seeking tranquility, comfort, and a touch of home with its unique wooden ducks. It serves as a perfect escape, especially in the summer, offering amenities that cater to both relaxation and business needs. However, guests should be prepared for the remote location and may need to look beyond the on-site dining for culinary satisfaction.

The hotel’s secluded location, while part of its charm, presents a logistical challenge. Situated in what feels like the middle of nowhere, access to the hotel without a car can be problematic for guests not prepared for the remote setting. Additionally, the dining experience at the on-site restaurant falls short of expectations. Given the hotel’s otherwise stellar offerings, the dinner menu does not align with the high standards one might anticipate from such a reputable establishment.

The food quality at breakfast was excellent (special mention for the fantastic omelette!), although we did have to get our own drinks from a machine. The design of the hotel and of the rooms was impressive, and the room had superb facilities including good lighting, so often ignored by hotel designers, and an excellent bathroom. (But we do dislike those awful anti-theft coat-hangers, and there was only one choice of pillow…hard..)The staff were excellent…professional and welcoming at all times. In summary, we found this to be a superb hotel, well-run, clean and friendly. We would most certainly like to return and would strongly recommend it to others This modern hotel is truly exemplary. A great stay.

Unfortunately, the restaurant (and hence breakfast) is accessible only by a walk outdoors. A covered walkway would be a bonus! But overall there was very little to criticise.

The hotel was immaculate and very modern. Could not fault the rooms or facilities at all. We were a large group there for a wedding and so got to see several rooms and they all looked equally lovely! The staff were super helpful they couldn’t have done more for us! We didn’t catch the gentleman’s name on reception/bar but he went above and beyond to help us getting ice and towels to help store the wedding cake in the car boot overnight when we were let down by the events staff having no fridge! He showed more care and attention than any of the staff actually involved with organising the wedding!

Nothing, it was all excellent!

The room was lovely and big. Very comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The wedding venue was just stunning and everything the bride and groom wanted. As their bridesmaid, Tara made everything so smooth for us and calmed our nerves. She really was amazing

As lovely as the hotel is it is very expensive especially for just one night. We had to book last minute because I simply couldn’t afford to stay with the bridal party. I feel the rates should be lower or at least have things included such as breakfast
