The location is excellant and good transport links. The breakfast is very good and good value. Staff were very polite & helpful.

Bathroom a bit smelly, at busy times you have to be patient waiting for the lift. A bit of a lottery getting a parking space in there car park, it is only when you talk to reception they guide to an alternative carpark, would be nice if they put this on their website.

I booked my room after checking out of an awful hotel. It was affordable, the staff were great and helpful, the room was clean and everything was working. The shower is a decent size and the bed was very comfy. It's only 8 mins from York city centre so the location is also great. It was my first time staying at a Radisson and am happy to say I'll do so several times more because you get what you expect.

If I have to nitpick I have to say the shape of the sink combined with the angle of the tap makes it difficult to wash your hands. Again, this is more of a minor inconvenience than an issue.

Location was fabulous, central to shopping, restaurants & sights and overlooking the river Ouse. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and proactive checking there was enough food and was hot.

The bed mattress was a bit too soft for our liking. Because we’d asked for a river view room we didn’t realise that there were several bars on the opposite side which were noisy until quite late at night. Hotel had been refurbished but in our room the ceiling in the bathroom had paint removed when the edging tape was taken off. Also the bedroom wall had it’s dark paint touched up which was glaringly obvious.

Almost everything about the hotel was brilliant, room, location, breakfast, parking and most of all the bed was incredibly comfortable!!

The lighting in the room was very dark with only two spotlights and a small standard lamp in the corner with a dark red shade. It really needs a light fitting in the middle of the room, Luckily the days are lighter for longer at the moment but it would be a little different in the winter months.

My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely city break at the Radisson Hotel York. We chose the Radisson based on a previous stay at the Radisson Blue near Heathrow last year. Our bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of storage for our clothes and luggage. Breakfast included an excellent selection of options served in a light and spacious dining room. The hotel staff were helpful, courteous and professional. The hotel is in a central location close to York Railway Station although we chose to drive to avoid the rail strike which coincided with our trip. The hotel has its own car park, which was full when we arrived, so we used the NCP car park which is only a few minutes walk from the hotel. With the discount offered by the hotel it cost no more to park here than the hotel’s own car park. The hotel has a gym equipped with a rowing machine, exercise bike, cross-trainer, two treadmills and a weights machine, perfect for a pre-breakfast workout (the gym is open until 10pm each day). All in all an excellent hotel for a city break and we very much enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is in a great location on the river close to all the shops, bars, restaurants and points of interest. The hotel was clean, well laid out and had a nice modern interior. The staff were very attentive and couldn't have been more helpful. There was parking on site under the hotel, with three disabled spaces to the side of the hotel with easy access through to reception. We had breakfast each morning in the restaurant which was good with plenty of choice. We also made use of the bar for drinks which we also enjoyed.

I can honestly say I can't fault the hotel at all and would have no hesitation booking this hotel again.

Everything, my wife and I held our wedding reception at the Raddison in York. The staff could not have been anymore amazing to cater to our every needs and to make sure the day ran as smoothly as possible. We even had surprises left in our rooms, like Swans made from Bath towels, a bottle of rose wine, chocolates, cards and custom made champagne glasses. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in York. The event planner for our reception Valentina was amazing, she deserves a payrise and a holiday and even that's not enough. Thank you for making our day one to remember.

Everything went perfect so no complaints here

Hotel facilities generally good and was impressed with the tidyness and cleanliness of the public areas as well as bedroom. Liked the handrail in the shower and that there was some shelf space and hooks near the wash hand basin. Both dinner and breakfast were good.

Although I knew I had booked a smaller than average room I was still taken aback at the lack of space given the price I paid (and I know it was high season). The bed on a platform was awkward to get into as it slid towards the window as I climbed in (I am a short person) and it parted company from the headboard too. Don't like rainfall showers because forceful water is too far away from me. Steps into lobby make getting in hard work with luggage, Once in I saw that there was a sloping entrance at the side but it wasn't signposted.

This was a good location and the staff were lovely. Beds at Radisson are always comfortable.

There was too much furniture in the room which was very small. There wasn't room to walk past the end of the beds without hitting your hip on the chair by the desk. No fridge in the room. I like to take fresh milk but there was nowhere to keep it. The shower hose was too short. I was just about ok but my five foot ten daughter had to crouch in the bath to fit under the shower head. Water pressure dropped considerably when you took head of wall fitting. Lack of very much fresh fruit at breakfast. And the melon tasted weird.

Hotel is reasonably well located. Within the older part of town,10 min walk to Shambles street, yet in a quieter part of town.Lots of restaurants within walking distance. On the weekend, there were plenty of extremely loud younger people all along the river bridge drinking and making merry and little rowdy, so the secluded location was actually good.

The housekeeping mostly. No soap refill throughout our 4 day stay, the beds were not made. 2 days out of four, forgot to refill the tea bags with the kettle. On the last two nights, the air conditioning didn't work. We did request at the front desk and the lady was very pleasant, but nothing came out of it. The day we had to leave, we pre-booked a taxi to take us to the station the previous night, but none arrived. It did create a bit of stress. Eventually managed to book an Uber at the last minute. So service though extremely pleasant, was not effective.
