Overall, the property was clean.The room smelled fairly good. The bathroom was clean.

The carpet needs to be deep cleaned or replaced. The hallway had an odor. The comforter needs to be replaced. It had stains. The towels were dingy. A little bit before checkout at 11 AM someone from the staff tried to enter the room without knocking. I went to the front desk to tell them about it. He didn’t think it was an issue. He stated that sometimes people don’t call to check out and the housekeeper was looking for rooms to clean. I tried to explain to him that they should knock first and should at least until 11 AM before entering rooms.

The location was great. Easy booking. Bed was comfortable. Price was great

The staff didn't seem to be able to handle complex situations from other guests which then trickled into their inability to be focused on the next guests questions and concerns. Requested extra towels as our room came with 3 sets and the booking was for 5. Was told that towels would be brought when they were finished washing but that never happened. Saw the housekeeper on our floor before going out for the day and requested them to be left in my room but that never happened. Needless to say, we used the beach towels that we had brought from home. Bed linens were stained from previous guests. They smelled clean but you all need to dispose of stained linen that doesn't come clean when washed

This was my first encounter with this hotel and I travel a lot. This location was perfect. It was surrounded by any and everything you need. The room was clean from front to back or I wouldn't have been there!! The beds are very comfortable, bathroom was fully stocked with more than enough toiletries, and it was quiet. I only stayed one night but it was a very pleasant experience. There is an outside pool that was available for use which was good. The breakfast was excellent at this location. There are not too many hotels who believe in flavor.... well if you want a breakfast straight from your moms kitchen this is the place. Staff was the best from beginning to end. I liked everything nothing bad to say

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. The hotel is located at the very end of a dead end street in an area with several hotels, so it felt a little secluded, which was fine. We were in town for the SEC baseball tournament and the hotel was only about a 15 minute drive from the Metroplex, so it was very convenient.

I wish there was a better way to deal with the water in the floors spread by people leaving the pool, because the elevator and first floor hallway between the pool and elevator were constantly wet.

This is our "go to" Everytime we come to Birmingham especially when we have to go to UAB hospital. Right off Lakeshore Dr. Off of I-65 which is just a few short miles to the hospital exit. Hotel sits back by itself in a quiet area. There are several restaurants close by, a Starbucks, a Walmart, Dollar tree, and Sam's club. Hotel has a pool, hot tub and gym as well. There's usually a good class of folks that stay. We always feel safe there. I've never seen any drama or shady folk lingering around. Not having the hot breakfast and using COVID as the excuse is the only downfall....

They should go back to a warm breakfast. Too many hotels have took advantage of this COVID pandemic. There are easy safety protocols that I've seen at other hotels that work well. It seems to be a cop-out at this point, a way to save money and it doesn't go unnoticed by people who travel often.

Drapes did not close completely. Middle portion of drapes were "shears" only. List of nearby restaurants was woefully out of date. Some restaurants had moved and several on the list were no longer in business.

This hotel was everything we needed. The rooms were very clean and roomy. It was a very updated hotel. The beds were so comfy. The hotel was back some off the main street, so it was very quiet. The lady at the front desk was super. The breakfast wasn’t huge, but it was more than enough. The hotel is convenient to shopping and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place.

I thought it was an exceptionally good value for the quality and cleanliness of the room. The bed sheets were so taught and tucked you could have bounced a quarter off of them. The coffee was made really well, and I particularly enjoyed the omelette style eggs.

I have no complaints.

The part of town was remote. Very little dining available within a close proximity. Not the hotels fault, but just the same, it would influence my decision to stay there in the future.

Location was good - it was quiet and easy to get to from interstate. I liked that breakfast was bagged in these times of Covid protocols and was not an open buffet

Complementary breakfast was very limited as it had only a tiny yogurt and tiny pastry with a juice. Fresh fruit would have been nice.
