Aloft Birmingham Soho Square

Von was fantastic! Upon arriving at the hotel, he made us feel very welcome. He had a smile on his face, helped us add our Bonvoy number to the reservation, answered questions related to parking our vehicle. He was very friendly and attentive. When we went to the shop area of the lobby, he volunteered information on how it worked and what some items were. It was nice to see a kind, friendly face upon arrival and during our stay.

We would have appreciated having lotion and a showercap as part of the amenities provided in the room. That said, we didn’t ask at the front desk, if they are offered upon request, as contrary to other places we’ve stayed at in the past, there wasn’t a sign in the room—something we’ve seen during stays other places.

Well thought out and stylish room for modern times. Spacious desk area. Plenty of electric outlets for electronics. Lots of space to place and store stuff. Good coffee maker coffee with pods, tea bags, suger, etc. Very comfy bed. Lots of light. Very clean. Located in a good neighborhood.

Only 2 down sides were bathroom door and shower. Door to commode/shower area slid on a track that was WAAAYYY too hard and heavy to be moved easily. The shower head, which had a nice powerful water flow, was too large for space and it was impossible to stand outside shower and turn it on without soaking yourself and the floor.

Everything was excellent staff is fantastic, love the layout of the rooms and the variety of restaurants in the area.

Every room should have a microwave and add more bottled water, condiments and coffee in the rooms .

The walkability is amazing! We l9ve the cleanliness and the hotel parking. Charlie, one of the managers, was exceptional. He answered our questions and was so polite!

Location is perfect. Free parking. Cool lobby area.

The staff was amazing. Super friendly and very courteous. The location is not far from where I was going. The mirror door for the bathroom was cool. Never seen one of those before!

I went on a solo trip on Valentine's Weekend. Walls are super thin (this is the con). I was basically at the center of "how babies are made" scene. One room got engaged, another pulled an all-nighter, and the top room had a baby crying. I found it humorous. 😊

Excellent location in very safe, walkable neighborhood. Rooms are due for renovation in 2024 I think management said...and will increase status = rooms are "okay" now, but could use update.

from the first walk through the door the staff greeted us warmly and made us welcome. Proper signs for social distancing were posted and all staff and visitors in compliance. Pets were warmly welcomed and cooed over. Its in a lovely neighborhood and great food nearby. A microwave in the room would have made it 100%

no microwave in the room. Bedside light could only be turned on from one side of the bed

We have had great luck with Aloft Hotels. We travel with our dog and their pet policies are very welcoming for a nicer level of accommodations.

The staff was amazing! So friendly and helpful! The location was excellent!! We were able to park and walk around and enjoy the vibe of Homewood!
