Super 8 by Wyndham Juneau

We got to the Super 8 after several days of travelling, including a missed connection in Germany that had us getting to Juneau a day late. The Super 8 staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful. When we called and explained our situation, they arranged for us to rebook our room for a day later. The room itself was excellent. Clean and large, and our two kids loved the stuff bear in the lobby. Special thanks to Angel and Mary at the front desk for all their help. One quick thing to add: most hotels in Juneau have a shuttle, but not all of them will take you out to the ferry terminal at Auke Bay. The Super 8 will, so that's another reason I usually stay there when travelling through Juneau.

It was my second time staying here. The hotel is very well located if you’re looking to stay in a place near the airport, there’s also a McDonald’s right next door and a conveniente store across the street with amazing pastries. If you’re interested in going to downtown the bus stop is two blocks away, so no need to request an Uber. The staff was nice and willing to help, they even break a bill for me so I could take the bus. It’s not a fancy hotel but the rooms seem to be recently renewed. Shuttle was available from and to the airport, but make sure to ask for it the night before, because sometimes they’re short staffed and cannot be offered all the time.

The room was fine, and overall clean, I didn’t like that I didn’t have a phone in my room and had to use my personal cellphone to call the reception. The walls between the rooms are like paper (as most American buildings), so if you have noisy neighbors it could be potentially annoying.

Kind and professional staff that were very helpful! The room was spotless and it was nice to have a shuttle for the airport. Nice to have fridge and microwave and nearby quick places to eat.

Would have liked a couple of gluten free options for breakfast and coffee available all day in the lobby. Need a rental car to get to sites easily and quickly.

The people are so friendly and helpful. I am so very pleased with the facility. The shuttle was extremely convenient and I appreciate the drivers’ courtesy and promptness.

Like I said above, really enjoyed this but there was one minor inconvenience. Let me preface with, I can handle moths, any moths really, but this moth that was in our room was not like any moth I’ve dealt with before. This moth continually landed on my face and my arms causing me to jump out of bed suddenly, like a newborn horse with new legs fresh from the womb. I don’t know how this hotel trains their moths, but I’d like them to be a little less annoying.

I like the location of the hotel and the cleanliness.

I did not like the breakfast that was provided because it was only granola bars. I can understand if the breakfast needed to change due to Covid regulations but the wording for a “continental breakfast” should be worded differently.

Shuttle service excellent for ferry and airport. Room clean &comfortable, well equipped. Liked having coffee available in am, but breakfast was….not the greatest.

Receptionist was quite distracted with her pizza delivery upon check-in, but otherwise no problems or issues.

Convenient location for the Ironman race, shuttle service to and from airport was great.

A wee bit outdated but it was clean and comfortable.

Great value if you need to stay a night before or after your cruise. The hotel is located very close to the airport. A convenience store nearby.

Very small breakfast area and limited choice of food.

The staff was very professional and yet so kind. I had medical appointments and I was alone, I thought I would have such a hard time getting back and forth and was exhausted just thinking about it. The staff was very accommodating, Ryan was especially kind he did not make me feel like I was just another run. He was truly caring. Thank you so much, it made all the difference in the world.

The continental breakfast. That was not very inspiring, in the end it mattered very little though.

Location was great for travel stopover. Very close to the airport. The convenience store across the street has AMAZING pastries. Close to the ferry also and they have a shuttle (for airport and for ferry). Shuttle drivers were very helpful.

Some front desk staff a little rude but others were fantastic. Shower curtain rod was barely hanging on.
