Motel 6-Bishop, CA

They did room service (housekeeping) during my 4 night stay. Surprising & simply exceptional, even costly hotels are skipping that in the pretense of the long gone pandemic era. The room was spacious, the microwave was old (no digital timer), but worked like a charm.

Limited parking spots. There are 2 floors worth of rooms and only parking space for 1 floor worth of guests right in front of the ground floor rooms. I was able to find spots every time, mostly because it was somewhat busy time for an off season (Thanksgiving holidays). Wifi worked but it was slow (for streaming anything).

The staff was super friendly and helpful and the location was amazing. The room was very quiet which was nice after a long road trip.

We encountered 2 problems when we stayed at this Motel 6. The 1st problem was that the beds were extremely hard. It made for a very uncomfortable night's sleep. The 2nd problem was there was absolutely no area for our dog. They are a pet friendly motel but offer nowhere for your dog to run around or even use the restroom. There was just a post in the back corner of the lot on asphalt. Every time our dogs needed to go outside we ended up having to take them to the local dog park. It was very inconvenient.

Room was clean and updated.

there were no toiletries in the room except for 2 bars of soap. No shampoo or conditioner to be found. Luckily one of us had some older left overs in his bag we made use of. When we were checking in the young gal gave us keys to a room that they didn’t work in. Thank goodness they didn’t because there was a family already in the room and they were locking their door when they heard us trying to get in. it must have scared the beegeebies out of them. Turned out the keys were supposed to go to a different room and she just wrote down the wrong room number on the paper key pouch.

The staff members were super friendly and helpful. Location within walking distance to restaurants/ stores. The room was spacious and recently remodeled with wood floors. Hot coffee in the lobby. We were pleasantly surprised- May’ve been the nicest motel 6 we’ve stayed at. Would stay here again.

Pool was open but not heated (in January). External stairs were loud.

Motel 6 is hard to beat in terms of bang for your buck. My stay here had everything I needed--the location was excellent, the pool was refreshing, and the wifi was strong enough for streaming/video calls. If you are looking for a value stay in Bishop, i highly recommend Motel 6.

The staff was unable to accommodate a late check-out which is understandable in their busy season. Also, given the heat, providing bottled water would have been a great touch.

Lady behind the front desk was absolutely lovely. very welcoming and friendly. Being a solo female traveller I found that she quickly put me at ease just from her friendly persona. Thankyou! Good location, close to lots of places to eat, and the back building is far enough away from Main Street that you can’t hear the traffic.

No breakfast n it was a hood 100 yrds plus to ft coffee at front office. Coffee was great the front desk agent think hee name is Violet she went above n beyond to help me. An assured me a good stay as well the tall maintenance man very friendly n helpful

Toast with the coffee, I signed up to use a coupon u sent me tk hey 10% of my money back if I stayed 3 days n I did stay that long n becuse the staff didn’t put I y the code at time of check on o was left out again

I was offered the building in the back, away from the main road. It was mostly quiet and people were respectful.

The parking lot towards the back was a little too crowded. There were a couple of work trucks (one carrying a tractor) that were trying to maneuver their way, closing missing a couple of cars that were parked in the marked spots.

Loved the staff. Steve, the manager, was great. Everyone was very friendly. Everything was clean. Beds and pillows were nice. The pool was fun. Location was amazing. Walking distance to fairgrounds, dining, shopping, parks, and the bowling alley. We will definitely stay here again.

The Wi-Fi wasn’t always working but we weren’t trying to use it that much anyway.

Delivers everything one would expect from a Motel 6. Check in was a bit of a challenge, the key card to my reserved room didn't work finally reception had to move me to another room. However, they do not have contact-free payment (Apple Pay etc.) and the printer / email at reception did not work, so no receipt (neither printed nor digital). That was a bit strange.
