Oxford Suites Chico

Very nice hotel with spacious rooms and a great swimming pool. The room was large, they clearly made an effort to step up the levels of the rooms. Breakfast is great, includes sweet options; there are nice facilities (like the gym) and they organize a social hour which is nice. The dog is welcome and we felt we got a nice room even if we have a dog (often this is not the case!).

The hotel gets pricey because of the extras (parking and dog fee). We saw a dead cockroach in the room - this does not belittle the level of the hotel but is a shame given the overall great level of the facilities.

it was very clean, the staff was wonderful and went out of their way to be helpful, friendly and to make our visit as good as possible.

I know it’s not something the hotel can control directly, but the number of homeless people in the area made me nervous. I made a point to park under a light, near the entrance and to take anything of value with me and not leave anything in the car. there was also a high school baseball team staying there who mostly took over the pool area. splashing and yelling, doing what kids do. I didn’t see any adults supervising them. A hotel staff person came by periodically and would calm them down a bit but their activities decreased our relaxing and enjoying the pool.

It all started with Megan at the front desk. She checked us in and made sure we got the room we requested. She was extremely accommodating, pleasant, professional and helpful ! Great stay ... too short !!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived before check in but they had one room available. We went to the room and it was still dirty so we told the front desk we would come back a little later and when we did our new room was all ready and they even left us some goodies which was really sweet. They had a happy hour which was cool and we enjoyed our free beverage outside by the pool. The beds were super cozy and so were the pillows. Overall the stay was great and we will be staying here on all our future trips to Chico.

Breakfast was excellent. Beds very comfortable. Room very clean & large.

We had NO hot water for bathing in the morning! We were on the fourth floor of the older building and the maintenance man said it takes forever for the hot water to reach that spot and it has cooled by then anyway. The pillows (4 per bed) were ALL TOO LARGE and DENSE. Quality Inn does it better with smaller, different softness pillows. Doesn't look as good on the bed, but much more comfortable, and that's what you are supposed to provide. Isn't it?

Very friendly staff. Not under staffed. Well appointed room, clean hallways, stairwells and common areas. Nice breakfast options at the included breakfast.

There was a hair in the bathtub - just a subtle turn-off. Happy Hour with included beverage was a beer/wine offering with beer that was flat.

I liked my overall stay there, I was extremely relaxed and comfortable. Breakfast was great and kid friendly. I would definitely be back again.

The receptionist that I was working with had a little bit of a snooty attitude towards me as I wasn't your typical customer that she may be used to and I kind of felt like she was judging me because of my tattoos possibly or My overall look. I could be wrong on what exactly it was but I felt like she looked down on me. Not very welcoming.

I have an EV. It was a huge plus to have two EV charging stations at the hotel. At least for California, you should plan on more than two stations. Both stations were occupied both evenings I was there. I was able to use it the first night, but not the second. You should check with the provider (ChargePoint) to see what the usage is. This could be an attractive feature for you.

Very clean. Excellent staff. Great location. Pet friendly ( why I booked it)

No parking if you get there late at night. It’s taken up by all the trucks and equipment that the workers staying there drive . First floor reeks of tobacco smoke. Pricey compared to other places in town that are newer.
