Loved everything especially location - right on The Strand and the beach . We loved valet parking and that we could get beach chairs , towels, sand toys to go on the beach! We had a beautiful ocean view room and loved sitting out there with a drink just people watching . Will be back for sure!

The entire staff was so kind and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay and I will definitely recommend to friends and family. Looking forward to my next staycation at the Beach House!

I had called to upgrade which went well but 4pm check in seemed a little late in the day. I wish the front desk staff offered early check in by suggesting booking a half day room. And the Overnight parking is very convenient but rate seemed high.

The location is absolutely beautiful and perfect with the beach and ocean in front of the window. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast was delicious with a reasonable amount of variety and could be had on a terrace next to the beach (but in the shade). Services were also great - free beach chairs included.

Check-in took quite a while (but that's the downside of arriving in the middle of the night).

Location and staff

At Booking app, I requested a king size bed as the app show this option, but, they provided me a queen size. Walking with a barefoot, it turned into black walking on the carpet (1st time in my life), breakfest could be better.

we woke up every day with a close view of the Strand, the beach and the pier...not to mention the surf and sun and sky.. walked not more than a couple hundred feet to breakfast up the Strand at Scotty's

I didn't like the fact that time went so fast...next time I think we'll stay for a week or more...

Nice comfortable room, great view. Fresh delicious breakfast. Quiet and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. Location is perfect with many choices for food. Parking is valet and hassle free.

It is pricey, we stayed in an ocean facing room on the second floor.

Location is simply amazing. The Strand, Dining, Pier, Surfing and the beautiful beach right outside your door. Breakfast was very nice. Room was comfortable too. I would definitely stay here again for the location.

Front desk was unable to check you in due to shift change. They told you to sit down and just wait. I travel a ton and have never been told that they cannot help you while changing shifts. We paid extra for direct ocean view and the room had only a partial ocean view. A little bit of a stretch when you have to go to your deck to see the ocean.

I love this place! I have stayed here three times in the past couple of months while in the LA area for various reasons. The staff and location are absolutely incredible! The staff- from valet to reception to the women that are in charge of the beautiful breakfasts- are just really sweet people, friendly and working hard to make sure you are happy. The location on the Strand is so much fun...hang out on the beach, walk/bike, enjoy the food (so many good places to eat within walking distance) or relax on your patio...I love it! The rooms are comfortable and clean and it's easy to get coffee in the morning and you have a fridge/micro and room service. I travel alone mostly or with my teenage daughter and feel very safe...even to walk at night. Beds/pillows/shower are all great! can't wait to get back!

This is a favorite hotel in a favorite Los Angeles location. It’s expensive, but if you want to stay in Hermosa Beach it is well worth it.

A minor thing obviously, but I wish they would provide a better brand for their bath amenities. I always make sure to bring my own shampoo when staying here.
