Hi View Inn & Suites

I travel full-time after living in Manhattan Beach for decades. I always saw this motel but had never stayed here. Why did I wait so long? The value of the stay for the dollar far exceeds most of the 5-star hotels I have stayed in. The rooms have gone through a remodel recently and are up to date, exceedingly clean and super nice. I stayed in the most inexpensive room which meant I was closest to Sepulveda Blvd and yet I slept soundly 10:30pm to 6:30am. I will absolutely stay here again.

What I did not like is not changeable and is also why the price is what it is -- this is a motel with doors directly to the outside and the busy Sepulveda Blvd. just feet away. Despite that, I never felt unsafe and I slept soundly. It may not be ideal if you need to stay inside your hotel room all day (since the traffic is near by) but my room was the closest to the Blvd. and the ones further in may be quieter. Worth asking!

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very helpful and charming receptionist who answered all our questions and also gave us really useful tips for our first stay in the US. The room was huge, the two also huge beds were great after our 10+ hour flight. The Inn is near the Redondo Beach, which is definitely worth a visit! We had a rental car, so it was easy to reach the different spots we wanted to see in Los Angeles in a short amount of time. There is a Target and various restaurants nearby, so you won't go hungry.

As we come from Europe, it was hard to get used to the wall-mounted shower heads. This was of course just a minor inconvinience that you would encounter in probably any other hotel in the States - as we did on the rest of our voyage. :)

It seemed newly renovated and everything was aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. The bed was comfy and there was a desk to work at which was very important for us. It was great to be able to park so close to our door and to be able to watch the sunset from outside of the room. The location was very centrally located and easy to get to, and was a 45 min walk from the Hermosa Beach Pier and a lovely walking trail. The staff was very helpful and when we had an issue with our reservation, they made sure to make space for us.

While it was nice to have a mini fridge, the freezer in the mini fridge did not keep our frozen stuff frozen. This wasn’t really expected, but TV did not have any streaming capabilities and the front desk didn’t have any HDMI cables to connect a computer. Just would’ve been a nice option.

The lighting was not heinous white LED’s. The location was good. They had a microwave, fridge, extra blanket, good fan, TV and everything you need in a bathroom. The front desk woman was very nice. It felt safe.

The room was right by Sepulveda so I could hear the cars if the fan was off…not too bad though. I wish there was a booklet that explained where the ice machine, local places and maybe a tv guide.

This is a neat little motel in a convenient location in Manhattan Beach. The property owner/manager is very friendly and responsive, although not reachable by phone - it’s best to email her with minor concerns and she’s fairly quick to respond that way. For anything else during your stay, of course there’s someone on site available by ringing a bell in the office. There’s plenty of parking. The room I had was clean with a quite large bathroom with I very much appreciated. I would recommend this place to family and friends for the location and the condition and cleanliness of the rooms for the price. I would definitely stay here again!

My room was a bit musty upon entering and I believe it was from the heating and cooling unit needing servicing. But this property is very near the beach and this is not an uncommon issue. I just opened the windows and aired the place out quickly. I forgot to mention this to the property owner but I will. She is very open to maintenance suggestions as I did mention a couple of other minor items I noticed.

The lady on the front desk and her mum were so kind and helpful! Very accommodating. The location is great and the rooms are modern and comfortable with all the amenities you need. Despite it being on a main road, it is also not noisy at all.

The standard room we had at first was not big enough for two adults, I don’t think the bed was a full bed. However I let the lady on front desk know this and she quickly changed the room (for a higher price but was reasonable) and the new room was much better so recommend a king room rather than standard for two people.

Very good location, close to the airport and the highway; many shops and restaurants nearby and also beach is quite close. The room and bathroom were clean, room had pretty big fridge. Reliable and fast wifi, parking lot had still many free spaces so it wasn't an issue.

Room was a bit small - not an issue if someone plans to just sleep. Also it's a motel style hotel and my room being on the ground floor means that the hallway above blocked a lot of light so the room was quite dark. Fridge was quite noisy and woke me up a few times.

There is no breakfast available at this hotel. Change of towels and cleaning twice a week but if you ask for extra no problem. Very helpfull staff. I appreciate it. There is a coffee maker in the room, microwave, hairdryer and a fridge.

My room was very small, but I knew it. It was cheaper than the others. Breakfast was a problem. There is not enough space to prepare it. We had to go to the bars nearby which was embarrassing in the morning.

We loved the location near Manhattan & Hermosa beach. It was a very nice walk, a lot of good restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood. Very safe and calm atmosphere. Easy to find and easy to park the car. Also a short ride to the airport. Ideal place to stay in south LA. It's a family hotel. Tina at the reception has a lot of tips and is very sweet and helpful.

location the reason I put location twice is because the location was awesome across the street from Panda Express QUIET!!! I felt SAFE with my little child. not too far from Manhattan beach but to me wasn’t wAlking distance. if you don’t have a car it’s so easy to get to from the metro. 29 min ride. Uber or Lyft was around 60. the room is so cute! I may book again when traveling with a child.

location what I didn’t like was how far it was from the heart of LA because LA traffic is HORRIFIC!!! another thing is Manhattan beach isn’t as nice as Venice Beach. not a lot of food choices near.
