The Portofino Hotel & Marina

We had a beautiful corner room with views of the Marina and ocean. It was quiet and peaceful. I appreciated the robes in the closet!

I was disappointed that the bed was so soft that I got a backache from it. Also, I would have liked some hooks in the shower area and also in the sink area of the bathroom. There was no place to put anything. Otherwise, we loved it.

The view from the lobby is very nice. It’s in a beautiful location. We loved that our room had a balcony. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. Even the bathroom was spacious.

The walls definitely need sound proofing. We could hear everything going on around and above us. The in room coffee could have been better, and it would have been nice to have enough for both days. Housekeeping does not come during your stay. Just after checkout. I did not appreciate that. Part of the reason I enjoy staying in hotels, is because of the housekeeping. I consider it a luxury that is paid for with the room rental.

Great location to watch seals on the water. Beautiful area/marina is great view as well. Biking to all restaurants is easy.

Some homelessness people in the area around the pier and on the road to the hotel but the hotel can't control that. City officials need to be more responsive to business/travelers concerns in the area. Felt safe during the day but not as much when walking after dark.

I’m from Torrance and this is night for me and girl. Every weekend we came here and totally relaxed and had full covered rest All the staffs are super friendly and most of all their bed is super comfy!! Get you sleeping mode right away… also the ocean view is exquisite for the morning vibe

One thing we don’t like is the slippers. They don’t have those. Other than that all exuberant!!

It was very romantic. I love being by the sea wall. It was magical. He slept to the sound of the sea. My husband. People Getting Married, Very Nice!!!. Pure Elegance. I dont think anyone really appreciates such Beauty. Wonderful experiences. Eat this up .. Never give reviews. I never have anyone do such an outstanding job. But your establishment did THANK YOU SO MUCH. The PEARSON. p. s. I would love to go back and stay longer. Please put me on the list for repeat visitors.

Great location, easy access to the Harbour and a short walk to the beach. Comfortable restaurant overlooking the harbour. Lunch wash good. Great to have optional valet parking or self parking. Overall I have enjoyed my stay in-spite of the unusually cold wet weather..

The weather, it was cold, wet and windy .. Nothing to do with the hotel.😊

The hotel is in an excellent location, right on the water, and easy access to Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo beaches. The balcony overlooking the water was great. Bed was very comfortable. Used the bikes to ride the Strand, which was awesome!

For the price, the room was a bit small (all rooms there are), the bathroom was very small and badly needs updating, and -- are you kidding me? -- paying $32 per night to SELF PARK!! is just ridiculous. The lobby has a large area facing the water that's really not useable/used; seems like a great opportunity to create a beautiful guest space (and bring back the bar that used to be there!). Overall, the hotel is a little beat up; while nice, could be a lot nicer, especially for the price. I view this as a 3.5 star property.

Great room. Very nice decor along with a great view of the Marina. This hotel's location is walking distance to the pier which has several great restaurants, bars, shops, boat tours, kayaks, bike rentals. The best part however is the hotel is right on the marina. We highly recommend anyone heading to Redondo Beach to stay here.

Booking. com charged me in full for the stay. When I got to the hotel they charged me again saying payment was never received. Not very happy with booking.com and not sure I'll be using the again. Now the battle of getting my money back begins. My initial communication with booking.com left me with the impression that getting my money back is going to be one big uphill battle.

Newly refurbished rooms on 3rd floor, ocean side are great. We were slip tenants on B Dock for 8 years, and have stayed at the Hotel many times. The new room updates are a major plus, and we look forward to staying there again. We also like the late afternoon music in the lounge.

Wonderful view of the ocean and the seals in the harbor. The Baleen restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner, and very accommodating for allergies. The hotel connects to a nice trail along the beach, and we were able to rent eBikes to ride on that trail.
