The property was beautiful tucked back in the trees. Pretty garden areas to walk thru with seating areas to enjoy the views. We had a breakfast menu to fill out each day with our choices for the next morning. There was even a gluten free option for my husband. Breakfast was brought to our room or served on the beautiful patio overlooking the trees on the property. Max and the staff were always available to help with anything we needed.

It was all-around a very peaceful, laid back, and relaxing place, with a great breakfast. A wonderful place to stop and recharge after a long drive (just need to arrive before 6 pm).

This was sorted out fine, but caused some initial difficulty: only 4 of their rooms are dog friendly, and from booking.com that wasn't obvious; it had just looked like the entire inn was pet-friendly. So I accidentally reserved a non-pet friendly room and only learned of this mistake after messaging the property to let them know that I was bringing a dog. I then didn't see a way to fix it on my end either: the room names listed on this site don't match what the property calls them, and the room descriptions didn't say which were pet friendly either. Fortunately, the inn was able to change my reservation on their end and it all worked out fine, but just something to watch out for if traveling with dogs: make sure to message the property to make sure the specific room is pet-friendly!

Isolated location for quiet, though limited dining options nearby (most were at least 20 miles roundtrip). Lovely, small garden that can accommodate a couple to dine in, if a bit dried out by the heat. Room was clean, well provisioned (complete with microwave & frig w freezer section, robes, hair dryer, drawers & hooks). Lovely walk-in shower w optional flex sprayer. Enough space in the room for us, dog and lots of baggage (we had 2 coolers). On-site caretaker was accommodating, and accessible specifically for on-site guests. Breakfast served on time. We had plenty of notice about what to expect, and things were as expected.

Mattress (King) was quite hard, though we slept OK due to exhaustion. Reception limited to 3 pm - 6 pm so communications prior to arrival was made more difficult. The "reduced staffing" ambience made it less than perfect for a B&B experience overall. Breakfast options were good but fruit selection pretty ordinary (grapes & apple slices).

Breakfast was really good; restaurant quality delivered to the door. Far superior to normal hotels offerings. Room was really cozy, very big, and nice upgrades. Instructions to get to the inn and after hours check in were clear. However, without the light on the property entrance sign it is easy to miss after dark. Google Maps will take you past the driveway.

Bringing us the breakfast in our room (items we ordered, not a standard grab-and-go) was a really nice way around the separation requirements of the pandemic. Other accommodations we've been at lately have not handled it this well. The room was very nice. There are no views, but the setting in the trees makes up for it.

Some maintenance issues: The door out to the patio sticks badly, the sink took forever to drain, and the digital clock in the room did not work. They had a list of nearby restaurants (10 miles). We went to those to the north, and did not stay. We suggest going south to Redmond instead. We would suggest making a microwave easily accessible to guests.

Communication from the Inn Keeper was personable and extremely helpful. The Inn was quiet and comfortable in a pristine, serene setting. The delicious daily breakfast was an added bonus. Although the staff mainly stays behind the scenes, their competent presence is felt in the detail and quality of the amenities provided. If you are in the Shasta area, I would highly recommend this unique gem!

The place was beautiful. The staff was great. They are very willing to make you stay great. They bring breakfast to your door every morning. Had The Goldfinch room room is small and no fridge or microwave but great place for a couple we even had a smaller dog and it was fine.

Only negative is there's a couple ants in our room but I mean come on its nature when you in the middle of the woods you going to have some insects so not a biggie unless you're a princess.

Love this hotel! It feels like home. Hotel employees are super helpful and caring. They do their best to make your stay memorable & comfortable. We stayed in the Grey Fox room which was roomy and super clean. The most important thing for me was that mattress and pillows were comfortable. And of course, breakfast in the basket was so unique and romantic.

Bath towels looked a little worn out.

This booking is in a beautiful but convenient location, surrounded by trees and close to I5. It was quiet however and I did not hear any freeway traffic. The staff was very helpful in arranging a late check in for us. The room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. When we were there, breakfast was served in the room which was convenient.

This well maintained Inn is romantically surrounded by forest, 2 hollywood swings available, a large patio for a wonderful outside breakfast and a cozy lobby. The staff was always friendly and accomodating. Our room "Robin" had a small sitting area and a fireplace.
