room we were given was very spacious, with lots of key things you expect. eg tv, wifi, fridge, iron, ironing board, air con / heating and hairdryer. The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean. there was also plenty of free parking on site. Staff were all very friendly. the Arbor Inn doesnt provide breakfast but it's under 10 min walk to a great cafe called Wild Plum, great breakfast!

the wifi was quite slow but we didn't use it much. The bathroom was very small, if you're of bigger build you'd probably have to leave the door open when using the toilet! The room was rather dark, windows didnt let in much light so had to have all the lights on when we were in there.

This hotel was amazing!! It was very clean, the people at the front desk were very kind and helpful, and the location of this hotel was close to everything! Me and my fiancé went to Monterey for our anniversary and were planning on doing Cannery Row and the beaches, and this was by everything!! I highly recommend staying at this little hotel! Parking was pretty big, they have a back lot as well, the beds were very cozy and everything went very well!

There were no complaints at all! The only thing (but we didn’t mind) was that we got a lower room and the people above us were a little noisy during the day, but overall there were no complaints!

Easy to get to from the airport, parking is free and plentiful, good basic rooms. Far enough from downtown/fisherman's wharf that you're not paying a premium for location but still very walkable. If you can handle a mile or so of walking to save hundreds of dollars a night this is a great choice. Cannery row is a bit farther away. Monterey doesn't close down as early as some coastal towns, still the nearby Denny's offers insurance for if you get in late, need to leave early, or your other dining plans let you down. Location is very quiet - I mention that because I moved to a bay side location for the rest of the weekend and the sea lions get less charming after dark.

Nothing particular comes to mind, if you like affordable rooms in old-fashioned motels then this place will meet your expectations. Old fashioned but well kept and not shabby.

We were very early for check-in and our room was not ready so we went for a walk. When we got most of the way to the town centre the rain poured down and we got absolutely soaked through. When we got back to the hotel we were still early for check-in and the staff enabled us to upgrade to a larger room that was ready at a very reasonable rate. The hotel is charming in appearance and well situated for the town centre and other amenities. The room was large, comfortable and warm.

The Rain! Nothing to do with the hotel.....the tourist information leaflet we had was very inaccurate. All of the places we wanted to visit were closed because it was February/March and there was nothing in the leaflet to indicate this. We suggest you check before you visit.

It was great and was around everything that I wanted to go to.

The last night I was there, the power went out and still didn't have power the next morning. Made it difficult to see, but I made it work with a flashlight and other means. Did not hear from the hotel management if and when the power would be back on or if I needed to worry about anything. The next morning, I went to return the key, and no management was around. Just a note saying a key drop box and a phone number for an in case there is an emergency. Don't know if they received my key or if I will be charged for another night due to not being able to talk with someone. As of right now, they still have no power.

We had a corner room with a fireplace. We stayed for 4 nights and although housekeeping only came once, they were happy to replenish coffee, cups and face towels when asked. The bed was very comfortable. When it was chilly, the fireplace made the room very cozy in a few minutes. Easy to walk to the wharf and close to the Del Monte center for any last minute needs.

Parking was tight more than one night.

It is just a little bit off the way to the main part of the city. From the outside it looks really quaint and cozy the inside of the rooms are modern, fresh, nice, and clean. the beds were super comfortable probably the best beds I've had in a hotel room in a long time. It's about a 10-15 walk from Fisher Man's wharf. . I stayed here for three nights and I don't think I drove once the whole time everything was really close and easy to get to it was just a super convenient place to stay.

It was the second time for us to stay at the Arbor Inn Monterey; everything went perfectly! This time we had a queen room (last time we got the upgrade to the king one) but it was equally spacious and great for me and my partner. The location is the reason why we chose to stay here for the second time: this is walking distance to the center and for us it's the most valuable asset. It's also bang for the buck :)

The inn was pretty full on Friday-Saturday, so it was noisy on Saturday morning (which has nothing to do with the facility)

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was fairly close to all the action since it was near the center of the city. It was located in a nice quaint neighborhood. Staff was helpful and friendly!

There wasn't much to complain about the property itself. The only thing that was frustrating was the other guests. Parking was also a little tight and there wasn't a whole lot of room to maneuver. Another thing is that it was kind of annoying to access because you could only enter the parking from one street and exit on another.

comfortable beds, nice hot shower with good water pressure, great selection of stations on the television, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, cute exterior with cafe style table and chairs about the place, jack and the box just down the street, close to beautiful downtown, a very short drive to the beach and cannery row.
