Despite being on a busy street, the property is incredibly quiet. It is also conveniently located with a very nice supermarket just down the street as well as a great breakfast place, a diner and easy access to Cannery Row and a lot of shopping and the beach.

We found the beds to be too firm for a longer stay. Also, the ice machine was out of order and appeared to have been broken for quite some time without any offer for an alternative.

This Inn is very clean, comfortable, quiet, safe and is in a great location. With a dollar tree directly across the street and 4 different places to eat within walking distance, it is also only about 30 minutes away from the aquarium. The doors for each room have a deadbolt and a security latch which made us feel very safe, we never had any troubles with housekeeping knocking on our door, or coming into our room when we were away while our do not disturb sign was posted. The office also has a visible TV with many cameras that the staff are watching. The room was very quiet with little noise from neighbors, or from housekeeping who were cleaning nearby rooms, the A/C was fairly quiet and worked great, the fridge worked great as well, it was a little noisy, but we were still able to get some sleep. The room smelled clean and the beds were very comfortable, with clean blankets, sheets and pillows. The bathroom was clean, but a bit small, still comfortable, with a toilet that was clean and that worked perfectly, and a shower that had great water pressure, and plenty of hot water. There were lots of clean hand towels, and shower towels, but i would recommend bringing your own toilet paper because the kind they provide is very thin, not a big deal though. Overall this is a very nice, clean inn that is definently worth the price.

The Red Roof Inn & Suites Monterey was conveniently located on a busy, central street. A local supermarket and pharmacy were easily reached via walking, and local eateries which offered general food fare were also nearby this particular Red Roof. My family and I stayed in possibly the largest suites of this property (we had three queen beds), and it was clean. Our room did show its age in the scratched baseboards and the kitchenette’s cabinets, but the overall value was quite good for the price of three nights. Our little dog really liked our suite, too. Our doggie loved the fact that this Red Roof was dog-friendly and was allowed to come and stay with us.

The suite was noisy at night while the combination air-conditioning/heater was working. The whirring sound did not make for a restful, quiet sleep. In addition, one part of the suite — the side with the one queen-sized bed — was hard to keep cold/hot because there was no door or wall that separated the “bathroom” portion. It was very drafty.

The room was great! with 2 separate bedrooms and a kitchen/living room area with a sofa bed. Crib was waiting in the room and it was big enough for our 18 month old.

Staff wasn't very nice at check-in but it was nothing too serious, just mentioned she wasn't sure there were cribs when I requested and got a confirmation. In the end, the crib was in the room, so no need to scare me!

Very friendly staff lady who checked us in was amazing and so sweet. Great location beach was like 1.2 miles from property I had a fireplace and a giant balcony. It was great. Will be staying here again but next time I’m the jacuzzi suite.

Not a huge deal lol but we were sleeping and one of the house keepers almost came in like 50 minutes before check out we thought it was kinda funny.

The suit was very spacious and clean. I liked all the windows as I like to let that air flow through. The Spa in our sweet was nice. The kids enjoyed playing in it. There is no pool on site so this was the best thing. The 2 ladies I spoke with at check In an check out were helpful and very polite.

The parking is super tight. Most the parking is for compact so our full sized chevy had a tight fit. Their spa an sauna is unusable. There's no pool but we knew that going into it.

The suite used to be an apartment. It was perfect for a family. The location was good for visiting the bay. The room was clean and comfortable.

I didn't really have anything i disliked. The price was a bit high for my budget, but it was definitely reasonable for the area.

location wasnt bad, 10 min to wharf, on busy street but set back so not noisy, bathroom very nice with fancy lights in the mirror and granite countertops and shower, very clean, beds comfortable with 3 different types of pillows on beds. pet friendly but no specific pet areas outside other than parking lot and empty lot behind hotel. oversized fridge for motel room

no breakfst offered, the lampshades had some tears in them which looked really tacky when lit. the chair at the desk in the room looked like something that was found on the street for free with tears and worn armrests. the windows had black out curtains but no shears for privacy.

The spa bath tub was amazing and I wasn’t expecting pots pans and kitchen utensils. I did bring my own just in case

No sponge to wash dishes and being so close to the beach when we came back we in intentionally brought sand in and had no way to “sweep” it up. Not really terrible because I know not everyone wants a broom in the room but with hard wood floor it would be nice

Had an upstairs Balcony to get fresh air in privacy and having a hot tub in room to soak and relax.

There were a few ants on the premises , but not enough to cause too much trouble. The back jets for the hot tub were not functioning leading to not being able to enjoy the comfort of an aqua massage.
