The rooms are not bad, the bed is comfortable, the room has a microwave and a coffee machine. It is convenient that you can take a pet with you, for it there is an additional charge of $ 30, it is worth the money. Nearby is a bowling alley, open until midnight. The staff is pleasant and responsive.

Breakfast was bad, cheap coffee, the same cheap sandwich, apples and oranges, several types of buns, jam and instant porridge. In general, there is no point in going to breakfast, I rate breakfasts no more than 3 on the 5th scale, or even less. In general.

The room was large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included and satisfactory. The location was excellent for access to Highway 1 to Carmel, Santa Cruz, or Salinas. It was a quiet and pleasant hotel with a pretty koi pond in the lobby.

The bathtub could be used for a shower only. For 3 days the touted "Breakfast Sandwich" was "going to be delivered today." I'm thinking there never is a Breakfast Sandwich! Service for clean towels and room cleanup is apparently no longer provided at all.

The staff there was excellent and very welcoming. The breakfast was awesome with hot food, fruits, and pastries. The attendant in the morning was constantly checking up on things to see what needed to be restocked. I will definitely be back in the future when I'm in Monterey again.

The mattress was very uncomfortable. Half of my bed was sloped like the springs were damaged so I had to sleep on the other half of the bed. Pillows were also very uncomfortable.

The continental breakfast bar was nice. It had hard boiled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, bread, bagels, pastries, fruit, yogurt, pancakes, cereal, juices, and coffee.The server was friendly and kept the area and tables clean. The maids did a great job of cleaning. Our suite (room 109) was spacious. The front desk people were very courteous and efficient. The pool and hot tub were very clean.

The room was stuffy, no air or ceiling fans.

The comfy bed, very clean room & bathroom (maid service did great job each day), considering times we are in, Breakfast was decent, cool Koi pond, nice pool, walking distance to good restaurants (there's an excellent one right next door) & stores. Parking not bad, just get in early. Safe neighborhood area, and friendly, helpful, hard working staff.

Key cards get wiped easily, had to get redone @ lobby 3 times during our stay, was stranded in back parking lot elevator, had to run around front of hotel to get access card reprogrammed. Or was @ hotel door, had to go down to lobby get taken care of. When carrying luggage, bags, etc not fun to leave for lobby re: reprogramming access cards! Noise from apartment complex behind, trash truck very early am, someone's alarm went off 3 times (3 am, 4 am 5 am). Not fun when we had to be @ race course by 7 am.

Comfortable, spacious and comfortable room. We especially like the secured elevator from the parking lots all the way to our room which really made moving of luggage very convenient. There is a pool and a fire place. Breakfast was decent although they did run out of the breakfast sandwich if you go late.

Nothing much - overall very pleasant stay

The staff was the best! We had a few small needs, and the breakfast attendant was amazing, she helped us out each time, and made sure that we had the information we needed. The cleaning staff is so friendly, always met with a smile.

My key card stopped working on me twice, not a big deal because my husband had his and it made for some great jokes. It is literally the only thing I can think of that went wrong the entire time.

Overall the experience was good. The presentation of our room was welcoming. Our room was near the street, so it was not quiet, but it was bearable. The front desk could be friendlier. Breakfast was great; they provided a few options, cereal, yogurt, toast, bagels, juice, coffee, and fruit.

The front desk was not very welcoming - it did not greet me, provide me with the room keys, and inform me of the breakfast hours.

It was a nice, large, comfortable room. Good value for the money. A nice restaurant (Monterey Cookhouse) next store with a really nice menu. Service was good, but could not check-in before 3pm. Some distance from the Aquarium.

The breakfast could have been a bit better.

It's comfortable and the staff is nice. Good parking.

It's older. There are convenient services nearby and a few restaurants, but it isn't central or near anything cool I think it's VASTLY overpriced, but so is everything else in Monterey.
