Kindness of staff and cleanliness were fantastic. It was more spacious than expected. We weren't far at all from the places we wanted to see. It was a pretty good place for the price.

The walls are a bit thin and we had a noisy neighbor with kids, so I advise bringing headphones or earplugs for sleeping more soundly. The shower is a bit small, but that's because there is a bar to hold onto which is useful, so this is really only a con if you are a larger individual.

Location is great, one story intimate inn. Easy on off freeway, Little alcove in double queen room for extra space, small fridge with separate freezer on top great for frozen meal storage, microwave. Parking right in front of room. Quiet. Super good price for this area (used to live here so I know!). Great as a base camp while in the area. Will definitely stay again. Very Friendly owner.

Bed a little noisy but still very comfy. No exhaust fan in bathroom but window instead, would open front door and window to ventilate. Parking spots a little narrow (mid size suv)so need to park dead center. Airplane noise but stops by 10 pm, on again around 5 or 6 am, Monterey s NOT a busy airport.

Great location and comfort for the price! Clean, comfortable, with everything I needed for a week visit to the Monterey coast. I enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay by two days. Big room with comfortable bed and the ladies took good care of my room daily, something I haven't seen since covid. Great midway point for exploring the coast, experiencing Monterey, Carmel, and Pacific Grove as well as the PCH. Look forward to visiting again next year if not sooner.

Pillows left something to desire, as did the amount of hot water in the shower. It ain't perfect but it makes for a great home base!

The hotel was a small one but all the needed items including microwave was made available in the hotel room. There was no breakfast served but an alternative breakfast biscuits with a choice of tea/coffe was also provided. It was my first time in Monterey, I had checked out at 11am but due to having a wedding at 2pm, I was still allowed to use one of the rooms to change into my wedding guest outfit. Friendly staff and good environment and just 8 minutes to the beach with varieties of food around.

The hotel has old fashioned beddings but overall, it's a good experience as hotels in Monterey are usually expensive, especially over the weekend.

Excellent value! Friendly staff, easy check-in and check-out. The gentleman at the check-in counter was very helpful and friendly, he even helped me find some duct tape to fix my broken gps mount when I was in a pinch. The place was super clean, they were quite generous with what was provided in the rooms (lots of coffee packets, bottled water, even breakfast bars, no extra charge). The ice machine worked great, and so did the fridge in the room. Good beds, good shower, nice warm lighting, place felt safe.

The rooms aren't soundproof, and we could hear sounds from the other rooms, but I've had way worse so it's definitely not a deal breaker (and to be fair I think they were being quite loud so it's not the hotel's fault. Nor did this seem to be a reflection of their usual clientele). The parking is a bit on the small side if you get there later. Most spaces are fine but the last few ones are quite narrow. Last small thing is, the front desk closes at 10 pm, and this happened to be one of those days where it would have been easier for us if we could have checked in later than that, as we are used to the 24-hour big chain front desks (but we made it and all was well!). None of these are big issues considering the overall value.

The staff are so nice! I checked in late at night but the staff was patience and helpful! Everything is efficient. The queen room is small but cute and clean. The bed is queen size but I feel like it’s king size. And I had a great sleep as the bed is so spacious and comfortable. There’s two bottles of water and two pieces of snack bars in the room. That’s very considerate, especially when I was thirsty after driving almost whole day. The location is good! Just a few minutes driving away from the beach. Will definitely stay here next time when I visit Monterey and the seashore or on vacation.

Cute 50s style, good renovations, liked being able to park outside the room, the 2 queen beds room was very spacious, everything we could have needed was provided and the location is convenient to the freeways. Dual pane windows keep out traffic noise and the bed was super comfortable!

The carpets and sitting chairs really need to be cleaned. Walls are a bit thin, so we could hear neighbors tv. I sleep with earplugs which helped. Door has a big gap under it, used a blanket to block that off. Bathroom window was missing a lock but management provided a stick to prevent it being opened from the outside.

Actually since at the time it was the cheapest option available, I expected the motel and the room to be... I really don't know... bordering on uninhabitable. It was not the case. All very very nice and comely: the room was clean, the bathroom was clean, the bed was clean and comfy. There even were a microwave, a refrigerator, an iron and a board. The receptionist was sooo respectful and nice, an extremely pleasant and helpful gentleman.

The price?.. But the place is expensive, so for the cheapest place it was rather awesome anyway.

I really like the location, it was close to the peninsula. And Denny's was close by for breakfast.

My air conditioner didn't work , the room got warm and cold air did not come through the air conditioner. I think maybe they should do maintenance on the air conditioners to get them to blow cold air . At night time I was okay, but I was a little disappointed with that. Other than that everything else was good. Parking also was a little tight.

Spacious room and bathroom, everything was impeccably clean and the walls looked freshly painted. You can tell the owners are taking good care of their facility which is on the older side but is in great shape. A coffeemaker and a fridge in the room were a serious plus. Friendly staff! I would stay here again.

We were checking in around 7 pm and when we stepped into the room, it was incredibly warm and stuffy in there after a hot day. We opened the window and went to get dinner and do some sightseeing and by the time we were back the room was pleasant in terms of temperature.
