put me in a room that had someone in it, they upgraded me to 5th level without communicating that to me, and the second night i was locked out, they asked if I wanted a drink, charged me, I thought it was on the house, i left two drinks behind, one drink was missing, they were out of oatmilk, i am alergic. It was a horrible first time experience, though, the staff made it all better. So I am ok. thank you. I will stay here again. we all have off days, and this hotel had that, the entie two days i was there.

This is an immaculate hotel with very friendly staff! It is located about 2 blocks from the Fox & the Paramont Theatres. Both are great venues. The room is small with no comfortable chair, but is somehow perfect. We have never stayed in such a clean room! The bar and lounge area are great. Betty serves a great lemonchello marghareta. They have excellent flatbread pizzas that we had for dinner right at the bar. We highly recommend this Moxy if you plan to be out and about. If you like to stay in your room, the lounge is where you will be.

The chair in our room was uncomfortable, but not a bother in the long run.

I read some reviews that said the rooms were noisy and that unless you're under 25 you'd have a bad time. Maybe we lucked out because we were on the top floor and never heard a thing from any direction. I liked that we could log into our streaming channels. The fridge and all the facilities were super cute and it felt very comfortable.

I liked the free coffee but it would have been nice to have complimentary bananas or muffins or something to grab and go. But providing the bar and mini mart was still nice to have another option.

The hotel was very cool and modern. The room was small but had everything you need for a short stay, and it was clean and comfortable. Staff and valet were kind and helpful, conveniently located for downtown Oakland.

I would not feel safe outside by myself, but that's not really the hotel's fault. No parking so you have to risk it or pay for valet, which isn't horrible for one night but it adds up.

Loved this place right down the street from my apartment, I always pass by it when I'm to and from. The inside matches the outside, hence the beautiful decor. It reminded me of a LA boutique hotel, everything had a custom feel to it. Plush room with modern accents for an affordable price, will be back!

Only thing I needed was the little lotion in the bathroom, everything else was superior. Brother got a little ashy, fresh out that hot shower 😆.

Room was clean modern. small but sufficient for a one night even maybe two night stay.

Check in was at the bar which felt odd. Only Valet parking available. The doors were locked so you had to wait for someone to let you in everytime. Not lux but also great for a one maybe two night stay.

I was expecting the room to be a little bigger than what it was. I think that was the only downfall. Also valet was pricey overnight and the deposit is way more than other hotels.

Great design and layout for the small room size; fun lobby space and bar to hang out, 24-hour access to the gym, thoughtful touches in the rooms like a steamer, pegs to hang items on and the bed was extremely firm and comfortable!

The 2 pillows were a bit small and squishy, would have liked more pillows to be available in the "extras" locker on each floor.

It was quite nice and the bar/lounge area was nice. the room with a view of SF was great. They also give you a complimentary drink. It’s literally a five minute walk to the Fox Theater. The room is small, totally fine for a solo traveler or a couple, but definitely not for a family

If there’s no parking in front, where the valet sign is, you gotta circle around. But that’s the nature of the Bay Area—parking is crazy.
