15 Minutes walk to Bart Station which brings you directly to san francisco which we used daily. Bed and Cushions were very comfy. Bathroom was very clean and looked new-ish to us. Good and quiet AC which ran through the night without waking us up. Parking space is in the fenced courtyard and a must for that area since we saw shattered car glass multiple times in that area. We had no problem getting a parking spot there but it is first come first served.

The refrigerator was quite loud but we just switched it off since we didn't need it. The sliding door to the bathroom did not closed properly and a the light went on by a motion sensor so i woke up my partner every time i used the bathroom at night.

The management is excellent - very friendly and concerned that guests are safe and well cared for. This is my third stay in two months, and I will return! Rooms are very comfortable and updated. Small refrigerator, coffee maker, great mattresses and pillows, air conditioning, wifi, large tv with many channels and movies, nice bathrooms with good lighting and hair dryers. Safe parking behind gated entry. Close to excellent restaurants, groceries and gas station.

All rooms are second floor with no elevator - but this is not a problem for me! The place is wonderful to stay at if you can navigate one flight of steps.

Very convenient location for what I needed, 5 minute drive to Temescal, 3 block walk to Piedmont, 10 min drive to Fruitvale or Emeryville, or other parts of Oakland + Bay Bridge. The staff was very nice. There's a coffee shop two blocks up, and a good breakfast place three blocks down, as well as some other interesting looking restaurants. Also very helpful is that the parking is gated, so you don't need to worry about parking/car safety. Cute rooms. Not sure where the closest transport/BART is, so couldn't recommend to travelers on foot, but with a car, this place worked out well.

Floors were a bit dirty/scratch up (although the rest of the room was quite clean). Only thing that was missing was a coffee maker or hot water kettle (I thought this was included in the description, but perhaps I misread). The street the motel is located on isn't so pretty, but three blocks over is Piedmont, and not so far are some other cool areas.

Very, very clean and so walkable to many restaurants but easy driving to Oakland sights & activities. A comfortable bed with lightweight down bedding so sleeping temperature was perfect. Temperature control in the room. Basic extras (soap,shampoo, iron) and coffee maker. There were so many really nice coffee shops near it was fun to get out for that. Remarkable quiet for being on what seemed a busy street but after normal business hours, not an issue. Loved off street, FREE, parking inside a security gate.

The heat/AC was a tad loud but simple solution was to turn it off at night. the room’s temperature stayed quite constant.

Well maintained and renovated old-time motel. Room was relatively small but has everything I needed and a spacious bathroom. Property is within walking distance of BART (and in area with lots of bike lanes) and a number of nice looking restaurants and bars. Property felt very safe—and I appreciated it had a gate to stop people randomly wandering into courtyard.

Layout of the motel means the first floor rooms may hear noise from other guests returning late at night (even if they aren’t being excessively loud).

The parking was very safe. The room was very spacious and clean. Bed super comfortable.

The room was beautiful! The bed was freaking comfortable, I slept like a baby, I did wish it had maybe one more blanket because it did get cold and the heater was on but a plushier blanket would have been perfect. Everything was clean and LOVED the style of the room. Really retro and nice. I also liked that the hotel was gated, even though the street seemed quiet, lots of locals warned me to be careful and vigilant. I felt super safe with the gated hotel since I only used it to sleep and get some work done. Plenty of plugs to charge my stuff. It was easy to catch a Lyft and head to the waterfront and Jack London Sq. For the price I would def go back and stay here again. I loved how simple it was to settle in and enjoyed my stay.

I wish the room had water bottles, at least 2. I got thirsty and realized there was no water in the room or a place to buy water that I would feel comfortable walking to. I didn't see an elevator and had to take my luggage up the stairs, there may have been one, I just didn't see it.

The rooms have been renovated and are very chic, fun and comfortable! I especially appreciate the dimmers on the main lights because I really hate bright lights and like to have calming options. The location is central and there are lots of great food options close by. I didn't have a car but if I did, there's a locked gated parking area so it's secure at night. Also the bed was a firm foam platform-type and extremely comfortable !!!

The only thing I missed was cups/coffee. There are no cups in the room at all (maybe to be environmentally friendly?) Also, when you arrive you can't enter because the entire motel is only accessible behind a locked gate, so you have to call the front desk (which is fine, but they should send a message or prepare you for that in case you don't know what to do or your phone battery is low!)

You can’t beat the price or the neighborhood. It’s located between Piedmont, Temescal, and Rockridge. And it also has a good selection of restaurants and bars right down the street. Recently remodeled and decently appointed, especially for the price. Very comfy mattress too. Staff was great.

Only small issue in my room was that some condensate from the heater/ac dripped inside the room I stead of draining outside. I also think the floors are due for a deep clean instead of just a quick vacuum. But I find this to be a common problem with lots of hotels.

The staff here is really friendly and quick to help. Bed was comfortable. Nice refrigerator in the room. I travel alone so safety is a big factor. I felt quite safe here. Your door comes with a unique code so there are no keys to lose. The parking area is small but the whole property is gated so that was nice. The location has a few shops and restaurants but is largely residential which I loved because I was able to take an evening walk just like I do at home.

The rug in the room 103 needs to be cleaned or removed. Kinda gross. No microwave. Kept hearing knocking and clanging from the walls above. Not from someone above. More like pipes or something. I didn't complain because 103 wasn't suppose to be my original room.
