I had a great time at the Best Western Seven Seas. I stayed there during San Diego Comic Con and would catch the trolley into the convention centre each day. It's about a 10min walk to the station. The room was clean relatively quiet and I felt safe at all times. There was a daily maid service, the bed was comfortable, there was a fridge and coffee facilities in the room and everything met my expectations. I would definitely go back.

Not many negatives here. But my room was right up the back of the property and on the 2nd floor. At one point I had three 32kg (70lb) suitcases, and the only way to get them to and from my room was to wheel them right through the property and up flights of stairs. Also, my room had a door that joined to another room. It was locked, but it was sometimes loud and I could hear people in the adjoining room.

Breakfast was really good, I got a coupon for each day with an option to choose from 3 different breakfasts. The US breakfast size is more than the average EU citizen is able to eat so for me it was perfect. Great location, close to the city tram and shopping mall. In comparison to near hotels (e.g. Hilton) this place stands out of the crowd - you really can get that holiday vibes. There is a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, jacuzzi (actually 2 but 1 was closed during my stay) and public laundry place for customers' use.

The restaurant closes after breakfast and opens for dinner, bar opens at 4pm so if you want to grab coffee or snack around the afternoon there is no place to do so. Also, the hotel randomly charged me 160$ for nothing which apparently was some kind of a system bug, which would be cool if I hadn't have to insist for over half an hour for any kind of error confirmation from them (they finally did it though). Apart from that and maybe a few less pleasant talks with the personnel during the stay (one lady behaved like working there was a punishment to her) I really do recommend this place.

Room was clean. It was very quiet even though it was close to the freeway. Almost like an oasis. Lots of trees and shaded sitting areas. Has a restaurant on premises. Two hot tubs as well.

We called the property and requested an early check-in and on ground floor. We arrived and the clerk told us that those rooms are only available on a first come first serve basis and she couldn't guarantee she would get us on first floor. We were turned away again thirty minutes later. We called the property and spoke with the clerk originally approving the early check-in and got right in on the ground floor as requested (by this time we were only 30 minutes earlier than usual check-in). Bathroom door drifted closed but wouldn't shut all the way. Room door had to be forced to close.

The space was clean and room service was on point! The bests we’re comfortable and the sheets were changed daily if allowed by room service. You have the choice to be left unbothered.

I don’t think they should make the rooms look bigger than they really are. The filter they use made me think I had lots of room with my husband and 2 teenage sons. Be real about the size.

Rooms and amenities were nice for the price compared to some of the other national motel chains. The pool and hot tub add a little extra relaxation. The tropical landscaping and foliage adds a nice touch. Good location for getting to different parts of San Diego.

There is no complimentary continental breakfast and the restaurant prices are rather high. There are mini refrigerators in the rooms but would be nice to have a little microwave too.

I like how spread out the rooms are, beautiful landscaping. Room was clean and comfortable and most of all QUIET! Staff working on the grounds were very helpful.

The room felt cold when we arrived and we looked for a thermostat and there was none. I called the front desk and asked about a thermostat or way to heat the room and she said she'd send someone. Then I discovered that the rooms are individually heated/ air-conditioned. The unit, which was on the wall beneath the window was covered with drapes, two chairs and a table. No one ever came to check but we figured it out. Everything else what quite positive. After we figured it out, this wasn't a problem, either!

The staff was very nice and even made it so I could check in before 3pm. The beds were very comfortable and the room in general was clean. I felt very comfortable staying here.

The room was paid in advance and still required confirmation before I could check in my room. The lobby bathrooms were clean but had a funny smell. I couldn’t do a late checkout.

This is one of my best experiences at a Best Western. The grounds are beautiful and the room was very comfortable, especially the bed. Clean, crisp, white sheets that felt oh so good on my body. I got a great rate from Trivago!

Tried to book again on Trivago but the price went up significantly. Unlikely I will stay again unless I get the similar price deal like I did

Spacious room, comfy beds, good TV package. Quiet and peaceful surroundings up against a hill was nice with birds singing in the morning.

Water pressure in the shower was very low. Bathroom counter and glasses were not clean, had a layer of film on them. Having a closed or draped off area for changing clothes would have been nice.
