DoubleTree By Hilton San Diego Hotel Circle

The hotel is ideally located, close (5 minutes) to San Diego downtown. The hotel's design is fresh, rooms are clean and very confortable. The server at the breakfast room was lovely.

The booking confirmation stated that we benefited from a "Breakfast for US$0,10 per person and per night". When we arrived at the breakfast, the reception confirmed that we did not benefit from this breakfast offer. I insisted by showing my email confirmation. The receptionist was kind enough and offered a commercial gesture by granting us with buffet breakfast vouchers. The dilapidated parking is expensive (27 USD) and would need to be refreshed. Most of all, the elevator did not function properly and we preferred to take the stairs in and out of the parking.

2 days before we arrived, I decided to read the reviews and immediately felt as if I made a mistake in booking and wish I could cancel my reservation, but it was too late. However; our experience was amazing! It was a very clean room that smelled so good. The staff was nice and helped me with checking in early. The beds were comfortable. And having the sofa couch was very convenient for our family of 5. My 5 year old son felt like a king sleeping in on it all to himself 😊

I would say the one thing that was kinda ok was the parking garage. We have a Honda Pilot, and I think I'm a pretty good driver, but those straight turns are no joke. You may have to reverse a few times to make the turn, but other than that, you're good.

The facility was tastefully designed with comfort features, with as a balcony, clean tub for a bath, waste bin divided into trash and recycling parts, fridge, tea and coffee maker. Our room was on the first floor, so I let my pet dog into the balcony for fresh air and rest after an active day outdoors before cleaning her. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, with hot coffee, juices, fruit , eggs, air fried potatoes and cereal options, available at 6:30 am so that we could start our day early. Convenient location.

Shower head water spray was weak.

Great location. We enjoyed how close it was to everything that we wanted to do/see. We wanted a room with an extra couch bed & this hotel was able to meet our needs.

Had to pay for parking but nowadays all hotels require payment to park. Our car was too big for the parking garage so we had to park outside but still on the hotel premises. There was no continental breakfast & restaurant seemed overpriced but all in all, it was a nice stay & it met our needs for what we wanted & the amount of nights we stayed.

Hotel was very clean. Staff was constantly seen cleaning inside and outside in the common areas.location is close to everything and interstate is right next to hotel.

Interstate noise can be a little more noticeble at times when cars or motorcycles are going extra fast. Front desk staff had a trainee and told me we had to pay for breakfast and I chose breakfast included. The breakfast situation was figured out by the staff running the kitchen. The trainee also wanted the names of everyone staying in the room incase we lost our key which did not make sense and another lady at the lobby said you dont need to give any names and they kind of argued and I ended up giving all our names which i found odd. Sofa bed was also in bad shape.

all good and breakfast was great - the family room was nice and despite the highway, not too nousy

the pool was great but supposedly no food allowed, even though people were eating around it. also what was not good is our room behind the elevator needs mors sound isolation as we couldn’t sleep before 2am when people finally stop using it until 5/6 am when they star again. unbearable at some point.

It was very clean which was a huge deal traveling with a 1 and 2 year old. Also we were originally booked to stay with another large hotel chain nearby. However, when we arrived it was dirty, there were bugs and it was not at all as they advertised. So being able find your hotel and book it the same day was a lifesaver for our family vacation.

There was some water damage or just damage in general in the room and bathroom. the back of the toilet was broken and glued/pasted back together, the bathroom counter was cracked and one of the bathroom doors did not lock but still in comparison to our other hotel it was immaculate

had to pay for breakfast and it was a bit pricey and also had to pay for parking when the garage was attached to the hotel. the elevator for the garage was broken and I am older so walking up and down the stairs was difficult .parking fee was expensive $30.00 per day. think it should be included when staying more than one night.

Requested a room with a view and staff said that it probably wouldn't be the best and gave me an option to upgrade but I chose to stay in the original room since I'm used to paying extra for disappointing views anyways, but when I got into the room the view was still amazing. One of the best views I've had at a hotel and I loved it. Also loved the functional balcony, it was refreshing to be able to stand outside for fresh air without leaving the comfort of my room. I also REALLY love the infamous DoubleTree Cookies and how the staff weren't so stingy with them. I've been in locations before where staff would only give me 1 but I was able to get them whenever I pleased and that really spoke in volumes to me.

Everything was great, with the exception that I did see a couple of small bugs crawling around. There was what appeared to be a baby roach in the restroom so for that I'll say that the cleanliness of the rooms could be better and the property as a whole could be better maintained with things to keep bugs away. Otherwise, everything else was great.

Loved the feel. It felt like I was in a fancy motel. The rooms are really really nice. They do have a breakfast but It is a buffet or restaurant style but you'll have to pay for it. They have a parking garage. Just keep in mind if you drive a large truck or vehicle they do have a oversized parking area. Is only a 2 and a 1/2 miles away from SeaWorld!

The parking garage was a little low in height for my comfort. The Clarence was 6'. If anyone owns a full size truck it will fit but just as expect to do a lot of reversing and forwarding in order to get through those tight turns.
