Days Inn by Wyndham Mission Valley-SDSU

We would like to write a positive feedback about this hotel, as we consider its low rating to be absolutely undeserved. The hotel is clean, located in a quiet place, the staff is responsive, willingly misses any requests. The room is declared by a corporate photo, bed linen, towels are clean, appliances are in good condition, with kitchen and dishes for 20$ deposit. Nice relaxation area with a clean pool and jacuzzi. There were reviews about the poor breakfast, but I would like to note that this breakfast is complimentary and free. That is, you can enjoy fresh, hot waffles with a cup of aromatic coffee (and more) without paying a single cent. Parking for your car will also be free with some deposit. Our conclusion of this place is 10 out of 10, as a result of price/quality.

There is not so fast Wi-Fi, but it's enough in many cases

It was me and my fiance's birthday we have been planning for a while that we wanted to get a reasonably nice hotel we've been to your hotel before in the past so the fact that we were able to get to hotel for such a reasonable price again was so great to us because we absolutely love the view and the room overall was great not to mention the staff was super kind and nice they answered all my questions I was really worried I was going to be able to pay with cash because the customer service line I called for all the hotels I was asking for was giving me a lot of hassle confusion so when I actually just booked the room and called myself the staff committee was really nice both in the morning and in the evening and the maintenance people were very nice as well and so was the housekeeping they came immediately whenever we needed anything or had any questions.

We got booked on the third floor for the second time it is kind of a hassle going up all those steps but in the same side kind of needed to exercise and the good part was ironically we got the same room that we got for our last anniversary so it's kind of sentimental to us so the only bad thing was the stairs but honestly I could use the exercise lol

Room was great and enjoyed the kitchen amenities.

Only issue was the guy with glasses that checked me in, didn't seem friendly and when I gave him my ID he threw it on the table like it was nothing and I had trouble understanding what he was asking. It was to the point where I didn't want to ask him anything regarding the breakfast they have or how to work the TV. The TV wasn't working but I didn't want to call the front desk to bother the guy. Better customer service is the only improvement needed.

The suite has all you need besides a couch .... That would complete nicely! A bubble bath would be fun too....lol;)

The property isn't the easiest to maneuver around but still a good one and good location. Also, wouldn't hurt to leave a little bit more of coffee packets:-) two regular two decaf would be cool. And I wish the Soaps smelled a bit more lively LOL they're kind of bland but they give you plenty, generously.

The fact that there was a full size fridge/freezer, microwave and stove. Also, I was assigned to a room (111) that had an issue with the key card not opening the door. The staff was very quick to fix the problem by giving me another room.

Parking is somewhat limited. Last time I stayed at your hotel, there was no charge for parking (as far as I remember). Now, there is a $5 per night charge. I have no problem with the charge, but I returned to the hotel after midnight and there was no place for me to park.

The entrance door had huge gaps on it. You could see light through all sides. You could even fit something under the door when closed. Ceiling appeared poorly repaired from previous leaks. Was also charged for parking which wasn't mentioned before booking.

While the stay was nice, it was very clean and the staff were very friendly My biggest complaint is the problems I've had trying the get back the $100.39 that was taken from my debit card when I booked the room on booking.com. I paid the room charge of $177.97 & $100 deposit all in cash totaling $277.97. however I was never informed by booking.co. that $100.39 had already been sucked out of my bank account for this 2 day stay. When am I getting that back? You have really screwed my bank account by doing this withdrawal and never informing me of it. Plus, you have not put it back into my bank account after I was told that it would be!! It's because of this financial mess that I will no longer use booking.com when looking for a hotel in the future. I would truly appreciate some type of response.

Everything I needed was there. Clean and comfortable, as well as close to everything I was doing.

A bit loud outside when people walk by the room and talk full volume. But that is just inconsiderate people (some pilot talked outside my room at 7am for 20 minutes to another pilot about mundane garbage about as loud as he could). Maybe some insulation could be put in and around doors. Not really on the hotal though.

The rooms were very well clean and had everything we needed, the breakfast was a great add on for staying two nights, wasn’t a full meal but it more than expected .. The pool was also an additional bonus, great for the heat.

Everything was more than expected, and beyond words. There was nothing at all to complain about.

Really spacious room for the price and friendly, helpful staff. The pool is a good size. Nice neighborhood with a restaurant right next door that is delicious.

Not much room in the morning for breakfast. Understandable due to the number of rooms, but the room itself seems a bit small to be serving breakfast.
